GT Aggressor, Trek Marlin are very good beginner bike. But if he's planning to upgrade on a new bike down the road once he sorted what he wants on a bike, he can opt for pre-owned bike first. I started out with a used GT Zaskar and paid $500 for it. After a half a year I upgraded to the T8.
My problem with the Polygon I'm really slow with the bike. My friends are minutes ahead of me. I think something with the Polygon geometry that slow you down. i can even see the same in this video that you also slow down as much as me when you stop paddling.
Honestly. I’ve struggled with this. All my buddies are faster on flat ground, however, I think that the polygon is faster downhill than a lot of the “higher end” brands
I just started riding, and I agree don't blow your wad on a fancy high dollar bike. Not if but when you wipe out it won't be so expensive to fix . I bought an old school Mongoose hardtail in Universal City from an old timer. I put front suspension forks; new bearings and brakes. It does the job and handles everything I throw at it.👍
@@MasonWebster Thanks for tuning in. I'm great . I just got into the whole MTB scene, so I'm a noob. I just love to ride and enjoy the outdoors. I hope you are doing well. 👍
