    I accidentally fell asleep with the power box on all night and now it’s not turning on? Does that mess it up?

    Hey guys. I have a problem. Its weird. And I'm now learning electronics. This new tattoo power supply only powers my machines starting at 13v....and of course 15v. Tried a few machines. Same shit. What might the mystery solution be? Any help would be truly a blessing. Thank you.

      check your clip cord or foot switch.. that is where the problem is usually.. or while stepping on your foot switch try adjusting your contact screw.. 👌

    Man I don't know y u don't have more views. You have really good info, not just that but important info. Some of these so call machine builders don't teach shit. But I did say some ok. Keep it up bro.

    because of "youttube" viewwers being in the mindset that only "certain" clicks or people are experts on matters like this and many other simple things regarding tattoo machine performance and how simple those performance applications are. some do it for the glory but peeps like this fella and i do it because of a passsion a real love and respect for the simplicity but attention to details and variables involved in these lil machines

    What's up just had a quick question, have you ever tried copper washer on your coils. I see that some builders tried it and it seem to work for them. I think they just insulate the core n copper washer.

    Hay thanks! Good vid , good info. I have an old cheap power supply went all good for a while,
    now when i turn it on needle will rise quickly to the setting, then straight away go down slow,
    resulting in no power. switch it off/on then this happens again. ? I wont be buying another cheap one thats for sure..
    opend it up earth/power etc seem all good.

    I thought this was a great video. I have been making custom footswitches and trading them up for more tattoo's or selling them online and know I am getting into the supply box. This helped me figure out why I was loosing power. Thank you.

    damn fine video bro, hat tip....im doing some experimenting with contact screw material as sosme of us know conductivity on certain screws (materials) is better than others ne ways nice vid nice chance to see folks who know what they are talking about.

      jeffro63100 if it’s digital, scrap it. Otherwise, maybe change out the POT knob for another ten turn POT.

    I connected everything properly....i know there's current going to the connecters from the power supply to the prong type things I put inside each hole as directed because I touched the spring plate that gave me a quick spark but when I touch the peddle I got nothing....any idea? I'm brand new ish... An my gun is like a cheep, online from China piece

    As far as copper for washers on coils. I would not recommend this. Just asking for trouble. Coils are simple in there action but so many variables affect there performance. Copper just isn't a practical material. The cons far outweigh the pros. The only reason could be for looks, but as far as enhancing the the coils not at all if anything it, would decrease performance .

    Can you tell me why my clip cord works fine in one machine and in the other I have to hold it a certain way please and thank you

    • @johnnyjinx5181
      @johnnyjinx5181 5 років тому

      IBM Legacy a kink in the cord may favor a certain tilt,

      try adjusting your rear post.. set your rear post with the hole for the clip facing a little upward or downward.. if it still doesn't work then replace your rear post.. its also a good practice to clean the hole for the clip cord on your frame with tissue and toothpick 👌

    When hit hit the foot pedal I just get a click where the spring goes down but theres no sound coming out my gun .. What's wrong y'all?

    • @johnnyjinx5181
      @johnnyjinx5181 5 років тому

      Leon Duffie that’s a short circuit. Usual lunch occurs when a wire from either coil touches the frame or when the dodder joint between the coils touches the wraps.

    hey man, I'm just trying to figure out a way to make some of these cheap Chinese machines work good enough. I just don't know where to start though my only problem with the machine I got right now is that it keeps stopping in the in the middle of my work

    • @johnnyjinx5181
      @johnnyjinx5181 5 років тому

      Stopping in the middle of a project could be a loose screw in the top binding post. As you work the contact screw may start rattling it’s way up if it’s not bolted into place tightly.

    kurty here a wonderful video, but i would like to ask about power supply .
    I have an analog power supply and when I press the foot pedal the needle on the power supply moves back and forth occasionally causing the tattoo machine to malfunction can you be of any assistance .

    Great video bro. On the clip cord what would happen if on the rivets you use copper washers? Would you get a better content? Just an idea. Keep it up bro.

    i just want to correct you on one thing you said in relation to the two different clip cords, more metal=less resistance...less metal=more resistance. the reason would be that the brass clip cord is a better conductor than the other and you could have had a bad connection/join
