I am not a food person at all..but your voice is so soothing..just love listening to you.
We ate here last Saturday with a 5:15 reservation for 5 adults and a toddler in a high chair. The drinks were really good. The cornbread was amazing(we asked for seconds). The service for our toddler was great with her food coming out 1st.
But the shrimp and grits was more like gravy over sliced sausage with a shrimp on top. There were more shrimp if you poked around the gravy but the actual grits were at the bottom of the dish.
FYI one of us got the All You Care to Enjoy Platter but they didn't come around to ask if he wanted more until after most of us were finished with dinner. He did get a refill plate of a few ribs and mac and cheese but that was it, so don't think you're going to have this never ending feast coming at you.
Dessert. I pre ordered a milk chocolate Micky ears cake for an anniversary surprise. So I was confused as to why our server was asking us if we wanted dessert. That's when I mentioned it had been ordered. She came back and apologized that they out source and only had a white chocolate cake. So we had to celebrate with that. Also 5 adults and a toddler means you pay 18% auto gratuity. Dinner took 2 hours but we were thanked for our patience a few times.
The first time I ate there my husband and I stayed at PO French Quarter. It had rained all day, so we decided to eat at the resort. It was so cozy and the food was wonderful. I have been back 2 times since and the food was just as good as the first time. It's one of my favorites.
It was cute the way your father backed away from the microphone. My mother always liked the ends of a loaf of bread too.
My husband Norm and I enjoy Boatwright’s; the boudin balls are extremely tasty! The last time we went I ordered the prime rib which was superb; the cook and seasoning was impressive!
I loved seeing your dad! His whole face lights up when he smiles - Ryan looks like him! His chicken portion looked small, but it did look like a pretty good meal for both of you. Thanks for your honest opinions and comparisons. You've definitely become my "go-to" food critic now!! 😊
Twins! Thanks for watching Gina 😃
Now I’m dying to go back to Boatwrights just for that French onion soup!!!! That’s my favorite Disney appetizer!
Born and raised NOLA. I love french onion soup but it's not a standard in NO. Our standard soup is turtle & gumbo. But it seems like it is a standard at Disney bc every rest. I've watched so far it's an op. That platter you talked abt sounds awesome, but those are generally Southern foods, not necessarily specific to NOLA. Blackened stuff is tho, I've never seen pickled onions on it. My mom used to eat pickled beets/onions on her red beans tho. I have never seen dirty rice with peas or that color. Usually its brownish with crumbled ground meat and/or chicken livers & of course, the holy trinity 😊 Gentle correction; Cajun has a hard j
Hope this didn't sound nit picky 🙏 I love your videos. They're very thorough & fun 😊
Love your food reviews!! You always make me hungry and are very honest in your assesments. Love you!! ❤
Excellent vid- thanks for sharing
Did Boatrights last week. Was OK but didn’t go back. Now Boathouse at Disney Springs was incredible….don’t miss
Great video Kristin! All the food looks really delicious and it was nice to see you spending time with your Dad.
Thank you Tommy!
Yes! I'm Ready to see some tasty treats! ^^ Thankyou =)
Oh wow. I see where Ryan gets his looks from!
Jose Tejas for the win!! Can’t go wrong with a night out there 🍹
Great review looking forward to more videos thanks ❤
Yess Jose Tejas!! And their Camptown Shrimp app 🤤
Ate there back in 2014, loved their food, especially their cornbread! In fact, managed together their recipe for it. Mind you, had to downsize the recipe by at least half.
My son and I both loved their French onion soup and jambalaya. My husband loved their prime rib, everything they had then was delicious! I absolutely loved their bread pudding and hubby loved their pecan pie.
Congrats on a very well-deserved 20k Kristin!!! Your videos are always entertaining and informative! Looking forward to tagging along as you hit all the milestones to come!
Love Jose’s. So great to know a girl from home is out sharing info with us being successful!!
I can’t believe how many people know about Jose Tejas!
Jose tejas is one of my favorite restaurants just ate there yesterday 😂 Boatwright's has the best cornbread!!
@@wrightdownmainstreet it’s 5 min down the road from me. Their blacken salmon tacos are my fav. Next time your home I’ll treat you!! Lol
@@wrightdownmainstreet just wondering have you done any restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin? My daughter is having her wedding in the reserve. We have never eaten in those hotels. Curious.

U almost had to stand for that cheese pull!😮
I have a 2 year plan to move from Los Angeles to Orlando to start cooking vlogs and theme park vlogs. Hopefully I’ll catch you in the parks one day!
Awesome!!! Go for it!!!
@@ginatrifiletti8790 thank you! Nervous, excited and completely in the dark because I suck at technology haha. But I know my passions among theme parks and my talent of cooking so I can’t wait to make this work!
Oh this looks great I'll try it soon thanks never been there Love jazz that all looks rear love Cajun food Gonna try the French onion burger at deluxe too Thanks much !!!
So many great things for you to try out!
Abita Beer is from a brewery in the New Orleans area. We ate at Boatwright's last month. We had jambalaya, red beans & rice, shrimp & grits and the cajun chicken. We also had boudin balls. All of the food was over spiced, except for the cajun chicken (which should have been spicy). Even my side of greens was spicy. Boatwright's does not exemplify what New Orleans' food is like. Many people think that adding cayenne pepper is how to make our food. Very wrong. Our food is savory and draws you in for more. It's an experience. The boudin balls were small and dry with not much boudin. Order from Billy's Boudin in Scott, La and throw them in your air fryer. Your taste buds will dance with delight! So, Boatwrights is a no-go back for us. Thx for the review though. Love your content!
Oh man I haven’t been to Tejas in a while! Now I have to go!
Tejas! The best. I still leave my jacket in the car since you leave every time smelling like Mexican food.
This is so true 😂😂😂
Hi. Would love to see you try more variety.
Love the boudin balls there. Definitely try them!
Next time for sure 👍🏼
Boudin is so good! Never had it from boatrights but it’s delicious
OMG. New Orleans was settled by the Spanish & French thus the connection between Cajun food and French.
Jose’s!! We go to the one up in Wayne- but man! Their Jambalaya and enchiladas are awesome! 😅
Jose Tejas can do no wrong
Loving these videos. The camera looks amazing. Which one are you using? Keep up the great work.
Thank you! I use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3
@@wrightdownmainstreet thank you! 😊
What is the story behind how you say Beverage? I always wondered.🧐
Woohoo food. When’s the next Epcot series episode❤😊
Can you do a video best espresso martinis at disney? Would love to see your picks 🍸☕️
Espresso martini crawl around Disney World 👀
We just had dinner there last week and the Boudion balls are AMAZING
Sold! Getting them next time
Do you have to have a reservation here? We are staying at port Orleans when we go
This was so funny to me because I'm from Cajun-country 😊 And yes, Louisiana French is a thing. Long story short, French people named the Acadians came down from Canada to Louisiana in the 1700s and the word "Acadian" turned into "Cajun" ❤ Next time get boudin for sure!! We have boudin at like every restaurant where I live!!
Your dad seems really nice.
I love Boatwrights🎉❤ Go to Boatwrights then go see Bob🎶🎹 Also, for us mayo enjoyers, 3 words, Pimento Cheese Balls😍 at Scat Cat and Boatwrights🎉
I stayed there when it was Dixie Landings
Im always team french onion soup. 😂
I loved boatwrights
Shout out to Jose Tejas chicken quesadilla too lol
I go to disney every year, Worst meal I ever had was Boatwrights. Ordered Prime rib, just all grizzle. 3 other people in my party ordered different things. We left with plates full. Just so nasty!!
I miss when they served breakfast!
I didn’t know they served breakfast here! When did this stop?
@@wrightdownmainstreet I think it was around 2009, so it's been a while. 🥺
I cannot wait to try the gluten free beignets in 3 weeks.
Enjoy!
I'm gonna have to disagree... no such thing as too much cheese!!!! Lol! If you're home for anything Lefty's in Barnegat NJ has my favorite French Onion Soup!
Yay Daddy Wright!! Hi
There is never such a thing as to much cheese..... Wisconsinite here.
Is that "really" your dad or is this another Ryan situation? 😅
Is it scat cat’s or cat’s scat lounge? The latter would be hilarious.
Port Orleans has become our second favorite resort, right behind the Poly. Our favorite part is an evening walk along the river after dinner to the reward of beignets at French Quarter.🫶🏻 The boat is nice, but the walk seems to transport us right into NOLA and we love the charm. ❤️
