well, the Father from Mortis was a very veery skilled force user who could do almost everything (remember when he grabbed Anakin's lightsaber blade and turned it off? no normal force user can do that) and we dont see force users transform or shapeshift other than the Son and Doughter, so having casuals use force abilities like that cheapening the Mortis arc
I'd argue since Mae consented to the wipe it made Qimir's job really easy. In the sequels at least, it looked like if you sifted through a person's memories forcefully it would take alot of effort like with Kylo doing it to Poe and Rey.

Regarding how Sol was able to stand up to Qimir one on one - when Qimir took on that group of Jedi he had literally everything going in his favor. He caught them off guard which is already hard to do, and this was also the High Republic era when no one had been in a serious lightsaber duel for generations. More than that, while they didn't say it outright by name they did explain how he did it - Qimir was using Dun Moch, which let him get inside their heads and disrupt their connection to the Force. So they were effectively trying to duel without having full control over their movements and lightsabers, and more to the point without the precognition that most typically need to fight effectively - which was why they looked like they were drunkenly flailing at him. It's also why Jecki was able to fare against him pretty well. Ataru is already an aggressive style but one you don't pick up without intent, meaning she knew what she was doing. Qimir had already lost his advantage of surprise by then, and without Dun Moch even the Padawan was able to keep up with him for a while. He's a decent Sith but not a particularly refined duelist. I didn't so much mind Osha killing Sol and bleeding the crystal, although you could see it from a mile away, and i've always imagined force bleeding to take a bit more time and effort than was portrayed. My biggest issues were that Mae went from 'i want him to confess his crimes' to not trying to stop Osha or atleast say 'don't do it', unless they wanted it to seem Mae gave her sister the choice but than that should have been made clearer. Secondly, just because she killed Sol in anger doesn't explain why Osha went full 180 and made her sister (who she was 'gonna miss') loose her memory just so she could train as a Sith. Qimir didn't do anything meaningful for her to make her desperate to become Sith, except show his boner. What is she gonna use her Sith knowledge for?! Kill Jedi? Everyone who wronged her is dead and if she blames the whole order she is pathetic. She has never had a life goal established, except work for the cost and later find/speak to/put in jail Mae. Nothing about conquer the universe. Unlike Anakin she doesn't have any reason to stay with the Dark Side, Qimir isn't scary like Sidious and Osha isn't dissatisfied with the world like Anakin. Osha and Mae should've just run of as sisters and leave behind all their ties.
Force mind wipe is ridiculous i dont care if its canon legends or the goddam holiday special its ridiculous and even if it has to exist it should be an ability for force gods. At least with the ones it makes a bit more sense
I did appreciate the fact that Qimir simply could not beat Sol. Sol defeated him in ep 5 as well. It was a nice touch to see the wizened Jedi simply unable to be beaten by the Sith/Dark Jedi who was shown dominating everyone else.
There so many question the show didn’t answer 1.) If Mother Karol alive where did she went or why she didn’t died like the other witches 2.) How did Mea survive from the fall? 3.) Sol wasn’t lying to OSHA that was an accident and her mother become ghost demon of course Mea was turning vapor? 4.) Episode 7 should’ve been osha and Sol together telling the story of what happened but instead he told to Mea that she already know about this already? 5.) It never explained how did Mea meet Qimir or any back story of Qimir he is very interesting character than the sisters? 6.) How come no Jedi questioning Vanesstra story bc she told the senate that Master Sol also killed Master Indara and Master Torbin but they already got a report that Mea is the one that killed the Jedi not Master Sol. Master Sol is with the student during that event happened For me it make the Jedi super stupid and Jedi council don’t care about many Jedi that have died to catch Mea. 7.) Lastly, it never explained why the witches create Mea and OSHA or how they created the twins? The show is just disappointing bc I thought we’re going to learn about the Sith perspective but nope
Final duel between Qimir and Sol was pretty cool. To me though, it was like the Hayden Christiansen scenes in Kenobi and Ahsoka. The only above-average moments in the whole season.
I wished they had made yoda look a bit younger. This being set around 100 years before the prequels yoda would be around 750 years old. He would still be old just maybe a bit less grey and crooked than he looked there. It’s a shame they just reused the last jedi puppet. Of course we dont see his face but the back says quite a lot.
They need to really tie up loose ends of the past. They need to reveal more than just Mae becoming Jedi and Osha becoming an Acolyte. They need to show past moments on the Sith side and Jedi side that ties to Osha and Mae’s conclusion on the final episode.
@@frankn4576 We never saw how they did it, so we don't if it was easily done or not, they also gave you false memories, while here they just deleted her memories And the whole plan of the Jedi was base on the fact that Revan would leading to the Forge, so they knew they were capable of doing it, so maybe it wasn't easily but it couldn't be that difficult either if they knew it would work
@@Yannis1a Actually we do know, it was difficult precisely because it took the entire Dantooine Jedi Council to mindwipe Revan and make him forget who he was while maintaining the necessary memories for Bastila to be able to perceive them through the bond she had created with Revan after using her powers to keep him alive when Malak fired on Revan's ship. I liked the show and the finale. The issues were the writing, the structure of the show and the main problem was the twins story just wasn’t that interesting. Amandla just didn’t act very well even tho I thought she gave a good performance in the finale
They killed off the only character that was cool and that made the show even tempting to watch... Thats a failure in production to not recognize your strongest actors and lead with them. Like bruh...
Since they just teased about Plagueis for a bit, I want to see him more on screen in live action shows now. Sadly we don't even know if there would be any good shows from now on so that seems unlikely. Except if they really use this same trick to hype us up then a show might be produced, but again, that's just extremely unlikely to happen. Not sure if I want to see the second season of this show but I do love seeing more screentime of Plagueis.
So you like the pointless cameo that Lucas (NOT disney) created, and the duel which adds nothing to the story that disney DID create? So this show sucks solely on a Disney level yet you want more?? I think Disney star wars fans are getting less intelligent.....
i dont he looked terrible plagueis is one of the richest people in starwars. he definetly cuts his finger nails LOL i also dont think he'd be skulking around like a sewer rat.
The turn is somewhat fine, Sol was her rock, her mentor in the Jedi, her master, and it is a huge betrayal. He did it for himself, he was weak, and it really is all his fault.
With all the Kylo Ren music they've been playing whenever Qimir shows up, my hunch is his story ends with the Knights of Ren. Palpatine would be a different source of conflict. Maybe even what drives him to start his own order.
I honestly thought it was alright. I liked the fight between Sol and Qimir. I also liked the live action crystal bled, and the way the blade turns from blue to red.
Yk it's a really poor representation of how crystals are bled right? 💀It took Vader incredibly long to pull it off and she did it in moments while barely making a face.
@@epic_chopchop5507Maybe because darth vader was trained in the light side longer? He was trained to resist the dark to a very high level. OSHA never had as much training in the light side as Anakin.
I liked the crystal bleeding. The saber turning from blue to red was terrible though, and if that's how it actually is in current canon, then I do not like it and it does not translate well at all to live action. The way it was done in Jedi Survivor is much better.
The obvious questions we about the last episode are first, Sol not disarming May after restraining her. Yeah just leave a pocket utility droid within reach even in the restraints. Second, Basil stopping Sol from shooting May down. The only conceivable reasons I can imagine him doing it is either he's not as brainless as the show made him out to be and realized Sol was going AWOL and about to kill the person they we meant to apprehend and tried to prevent it. Or Basil is secretly a sith which would be a lot more fun later on. Third, Osha losing her s#!t over Sol killing her mother. Yeah he's not innocent but did she forget May tried to kill her that night. Osha didn't even know the full story and instantly bled the saber crystal and was able to use force choke. Even though he hid the fact from her and essentially manipulated her, he still treated her like family and she didn't even hear him out. Lastly, why did they HAVE to leave May behind and wipe her mind. Did the ship only have two seats? Couldn't they have just dropped her off on some planet off the jedi's scope or something? Frankly I hope we don't a second season, but we all know they're gonna go all in on it.
I agree with Andrew. Except for the crystal bleeding part, it can take up to months to bleed a crystal and Osha did it in 5 seconds. At least it looked cool when the blade changed color so
I very much agree with you on the wide shots. This shiw feels so cramped and claustrophobic. There are no good establishing shots or moving shots that give you a sense of scale. Brendok and Khofar are also way to similar that at one point I believed it was the same planet (you can probably add the sith island to that as well). The places and space ships feel really boring and forgettable
I don’t think what you said about both having dark in them is true. In my mind I always saw Osha having more darkness than Mae. The only thing Mae wanted was her sister to stay with her as opposed to her sister who thought she was too big for their home. And latter when she is sent after the 4 Jedi masters she is driven by justice than revenge. When she found out Osha was alive she almost immediately abandoned her quest and went to find her. Osha on the other hand is clear to me her anger drives her actions to attack Mae as soon as they met and only as she is told the truth does she trust Mae again.
"Sorrt osha your mom turned into a scary smoke demon and was doing some weird magic so I stabbed her." I got the feeling mae and osha were going to swap places at the end of episode left in the woods
I don't get why you think they are trying to make Qimir a good guy? Nothing in this show suggests that in any capacity. At best, he's an antihero, or a tragic villain. Not good guy.
I don't think Qimir wanted to kill Sol. Osha saw May/herself killing Sol, and Qimir wanted to see that happen. He was just trying to wear Sol out. (just trying to justify Qimir's struggle here)

To the point that Ki adi mundi didn’t know what was happening. 2:52 he was still informed that Mae did it with evidence it doesn’t fix that plot hole.
REALLY hope we get a season 2 for this show.
Force mind wipe is ridiculous i dont care if its canon legends or the goddam holiday special its ridiculous and even if it has to exist it should be an ability for force gods. At least with the ones it makes a bit more sense
Idk how to feel anymore but I’m along for the ride, despite how many times I mutter under my breath.
I did appreciate the fact that Qimir simply could not beat Sol. Sol defeated him in ep 5 as well. It was a nice touch to see the wizened Jedi simply unable to be beaten by the Sith/Dark Jedi who was shown dominating everyone else.
Imma pretend none of this shit ever happened
Smart
The writers of the show are the true sith lords
Darth Jar Jars
There so many question the show didn’t answer
1.) If Mother Karol alive where did she went or why she didn’t died like the other witches
2.) How did Mea survive from the fall?
Master Sol is with the student during that event happened
For me it make the Jedi super stupid and Jedi council don’t care about many Jedi that have died to catch Mea.
7.) Lastly, it never explained why the witches create Mea and OSHA or how they created the twins?
The show is just disappointing bc I thought we’re going to learn about the Sith perspective but nope
Sol needs to be on the jedi’s watch list
The show should have been called star wars twins as the acolyte was barely in it as they needed two explanation episodes
I think that plagius is the apprentice and tenabrus is the master and the stranger is one of the seven from the legends books
They need to really tie up loose ends of the past. They need to reveal more than just Mae becoming Jedi and Osha becoming an Acolyte.
They need to show past moments on the Sith side and Jedi side that ties to Osha and Mae’s conclusion on the final episode.
Not this show having some of the worst pacing, writing and bizarre choices alongside some of the best lightsaber duels.
Also the memory wipe is the whole plot of KOTOR so yeah it is a thing in Star Wars
Yes but it was not done so easily.
@@frankn4576 We never saw how they did it, so we don't if it was easily done or not, they also gave you false memories, while here they just deleted her memories
And the whole plan of the Jedi was base on the fact that Revan would leading to the Forge, so they knew they were capable of doing it, so maybe it wasn't easily but it couldn't be that difficult either if they knew it would work
@@Yannis1a Actually we do know, it was difficult precisely because it took the entire Dantooine Jedi Council to mindwipe Revan and make him forget who he was while maintaining the necessary memories for Bastila to be able to perceive them through the bond she had created with Revan after using her powers to keep him alive when Malak fired on Revan's ship.
So yeah, once again the expanded universe has a source and an answer that makes speculating pointless.
@@frankn4576 You are correct.
@@TheRevan1337 I didn’t know that, was this explain in a comic or in somewhere in SWTOR??
What I remember of the original game is them saying the the Enclave Council did it, so I understood it to mean between one or more member did it, unless it did said all of the council and I forgot
It also sounds like way more precise alteration of his memories than just a memory wipe like Mae
That was sooo disappointing, sol dead and his reputation was shattered and destroyed by green skin lady
The intro is fitting
I agree with almost everything (especially the twins being uninteresting) but I absolutely bought Osha’s turn.
People need to understand Sol is a Jedi master the people qmir killed was knights or padowans. Plus he had the avantage cause none of them had faced a sith before especially one with his lightsaber style and a helmet that stood sabers once he figured it out he was able to deal with it in their second fight
Osha has always held this grief and hate towards the Jedi. That's why she turned
30 minutes per episode is too short💀💀💀
the fact they used the last jedi puppet says alot
This is one of the only channels I see a non hate rage fuelled review of this show. And I agree - I really think it is entertaining - please drop the hate (it may lead you to the dark side 😉)
Well it can't be all hate. Kennedy Star wars has birdbrain fans too so they have to love it even though it changes a lot. Those that hate may have a good reason
the whole show turned into a wtf nothing burger.
I liked the show and the finale. The issues were the writing, the structure of the show and the main problem was the twins story just wasn’t that interesting. Amandla just didn’t act very well even tho I thought she gave a good performance in the finale
Can you adress how everybody is absolutely tearing the star wars outlaws gameplay apart?
I didnt watch the acolyte and will not but a darth plaguis show or episode is something i think we would all love
I liked the Darth Plagueus cameo!!! And Sol and Qimir's dual!!! I don't care what you guys say I want a season even if it takes more years away!!!
@@Amp661 Let them have an opinion.
The turn is somewhat fine, Sol was her rock, her mentor in the Jedi, her master, and it is a huge betrayal. He did it for himself, he was weak, and it really is all his fault.
Just imagine, Qimir and Osha make Palpatine and he runs off and finds Plaguis who trains him in secret
With all the Kylo Ren music they've been playing whenever Qimir shows up, my hunch is his story ends with the Knights of Ren. Palpatine would be a different source of conflict. Maybe even what drives him to start his own order.
That’s interesting
I honestly thought it was alright. I liked the fight between Sol and Qimir.
I also liked the live action crystal bled, and the way the blade turns from blue to red.
Yk it's a really poor representation of how crystals are bled right? 💀It took Vader incredibly long to pull it off and she did it in moments while barely making a face.
The bleeding was awesome to see on screen.
@@epic_chopchop5507 I’m just taking what I can get 😂
@@epic_chopchop5507Maybe because darth vader was trained in the light side longer?
Frankly I hope we don't a second season, but we all know they're gonna go all in on it.
bro a literal infant straight out the womb could make a better show than this with half the budget or less
Imagine being “excited” while looking at a pile of 💩 . Even if it has sprinkles on it it’s still a pile of 💩.
I agree with Andrew. Except for the crystal bleeding part, it can take up to months to bleed a crystal and Osha did it in 5 seconds. At least it looked cool when the blade changed color so
It might get canceled because it has an audience score of 15% on rotten tomatoes
It gone higher? It was 14% I think
i thought the bleeding process was lame af
I very much agree with you on the wide shots. This shiw feels so cramped and claustrophobic. There are no good establishing shots or moving shots that give you a sense of scale. Brendok and Khofar are also way to similar that at one point I believed it was the same planet (you can probably add the sith island to that as well). The places and space ships feel really boring and forgettable
100% agree with everything u said on the twins and wtf bazil...
Tired of prequels watering down an already fragile franchise...
"Sorrt osha your mom turned into a scary smoke demon and was doing some weird magic so I stabbed her."
I got the feeling mae and osha were going to swap places at the end of episode left in the woods
Looked like Qimir’s arm got cut by Sol’s lightsaber graze I guess
what i don’t get is why they are trying to make qimir a “good guy” he probably doesn’t even care about osha and is using her for power
I don't get why you think they are trying to make Qimir a good guy? Nothing in this show suggests that in any capacity. At best, he's an antihero, or a tragic villain. Not good guy.
7:53 maybe he did that so Mae would crash on the planet.
I don't think Qimir wanted to kill Sol. Osha saw May/herself killing Sol, and Qimir wanted to see that happen. He was just trying to wear Sol out. (just trying to justify Qimir's struggle here)
Bro were you hanging with Victoria Justice😍
