Great review video that touched on some things I haven't seen others mention. I think this is the one that'll push me over the edge
I don’t think you’ll regret it. And Yoder isn’t even even paying us to say that.
Congrats on the new grill - welcome to the Yoder family!
Thank you! It’s a great family to be a part of.
Great overview! I think the half shelf is a must have. Makes fitting those big things on the bottom rack much easier.
Yeah, I’ve definitely considered getting one of those.
I have had mine for 1 year now, it’s so good,so we’ll built!! Nothing compares.
It is definitely built to last a long time!
Got my second one coming this Saturday. Sold my 2017 model first. I was considering adding the upgraded ACS module and ceramic igniter. I was looking and almost a $1,000 for the upgrades, it didn't make sense. So i have anew 2023 model coming.. Can't wait for its arrival. Get smoking!!!!
I love it!
Wow! Now that’s what I call a solid review. I’m definitely buying a Yoder ys640s
You will love it!
I'm so excited to pick my Yoder up tomorrow! I did some upgrades as well, which I feel some should just be standard, like the stainless steel shelves. Did the grill grates, SS shelving, half depth shelf and a cover. Going to do a reverse sear a SRF Wagyu Try-Tip for the first cook :)
Nice! Tri-tip is great on the Yoder.
I think I’m going to finally order one after looking at it for 2 years
I don’t think you’ll regret it.
It's been a year since you posted the comment saying you think you will buy a Yoder Grill. Did you do it? If so, what do you think?
Can I ask a question why don't they powder coat their parts
Now that is a rig if I’ve ever seen one!!!
It’s a beast!
Have you used it in the rain? how does it handle it with the open stack?
Thanks for the great review
I have a covered patio so I haven’t had to use it in the rain. I think it would do fine during a light rain, but I wouldn’t recommend using it in a heavier rain.
Just ordered mine yesterday with the orange comp cart. Now the 13-14 week wait begins! Hopefully it doesn't take quite that long.
It is worth the wait!
It took about 8 weeks for mine. Came in sooner than expected. It’s amazing!
@@shadowj616 good to know. Looking forward to it showing up! Had nothing but trouble with the CC Woodwind I owned for a few years and am upgrading (significantly).
@@shadowj616 i ordered mine june29th. When i ordered it said 9-10. Now on wedsite it says 13-14. I damn sure hope its not 9 weeks. Cant take that long to make a cart
I ordered mine on may 19th got it yesterday
Man this thing is incredible! Does it make a huge mess in the burn pot when your doing steaks? Also how bad are the flare ups from steaks?
Agreed! I really haven’t had an issue with making a mess in the burn pot or with flare ups. I think using the Grill Grates helps.
I'm undecided between the Yoder 640s and the Camp Chef woodwind pro 36. Considering the cost difference between the 2, can someone tell me why I should get the Yoder?
We have also been very interested in the Woodwind Pro 36. Specifically for the feature allowing you to add wood chunks for extra smoke. The Yoder is built like a tank. Being able to sear on it is also fantastic. It is definitely a bit more on the pricing scale. But this is a fantastic pellet grill that you wouldn’t be disappointed in.
Did you ever opt for the analogue thermometers for the lid?
We have not on the Yoder. Do you like it?
@@PigAndBeef I haven't either. With variable temperature swings side to side and especially top to bottom, I may not get them.
OMGosh having to turn the stack down…for storage??!! Sorry not a big deal but good review.
It is a bit of a hassle. But it is really an awesome smoker.
So nice just wish they weren’t $2,000 😫
Yeah, it is a bit more. But lots of fun though.
Do always use foil when you’re cooking
It depends on what we are cooking. It is great to use to keep things from getting messy. It’s also great to wrap pork butts or ribs with it.
First view!!!!
Record timing!
Pitts and Spitts maverick 1250 is far superior to the Yoder.
