- Join us for a walk in Newquay, Cornwall, England. We walk through Newquay town centre and finish our walk at Tolcarne Beach.
Newquay, one of Cornwall's liveliest resorts, boasts many beautiful beaches, Towan beach is bordered to the west by the harbour and at the east by 'the Island' a towering rocky outcrop, which is connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge.
Newquay is a town on the north coast of Cornwall, in southwest England. It’s known for sandy Fistral and Watergate Bay beaches, where waves from the Atlantic Ocean create strong surf. On the seafront, the Blue Reef Aquarium features an underwater tunnel going through a coral-reef tank with pufferfish, sharks and rays. Further inland, surrounded by tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to lions, wildebeest and sloths.
Tolcarne Beach nestles in a beautiful crescent shaped bay set against a background of cliffs that joins up with its neighbouring beaches Great Western and Lusty Glaze at low tide. The beach offers soft sand, easy swimming, fun family surfing, exciting rock pools to explore at low tide, sea fishing and the unique 'Tolcarne Wedge' for boogie boarding.

Wow the weather seems to be good. Everytime I went to Cornwall I had rain or at least it was a foggy day. Great tour by the way and nice ground footage. Last year I wanted to come to Cornwall again but it was much harder to travel to the UK.

This is very cool as it reminds me so much of the little towns in eastern Canada near the sea ...where I grew up...with seagulls swooping in on the streets etc.
Did I spot a young man in Spider-Man ourfit walking by on the other side? ... is this pre-Halloween video? Pretty neat and nostalgic for me. Reminds me so much of the atmosphere of the town I grew up in (Georgetown, PEI) but not this big.
Also.. I think that English seaside towns are the neatest towns in the world ... so peaceful and laid-back, and the British are wonderful folks... our blood relatives here in Canada... I really like the details here ... the buildings, the shop signs, the sounds... the names...the hints of old and yet new culture everywhere. We planned a trip to southwest England two years ago and then the pandemic hit ... so sad. Such a great nation. Thank you.
