When you're talking about Lasha's personality, it reminds me of something people used to say about Brian Shaw: there's no need for posturing when you're so clearly the best
It's an amazing quality, a whole new level of confidence, almost as though you don't consider anyone's view on you because you are too far ahead to worry.
Brian is not the best anymore, he is getting old and there's so many genetically gifted strongmen out there chasing him ;)
He's not the best anymore. Big Z was the best of all time but I understand your point.
@@WeightliftingHouse Thanks for the great quality content. From Canada
Except Brian’s achievements have NOTHING to do with Lasha’s
Lasha has been breaking historical records and winning everything at 25 only etc...
That pink chair is really strong
weird
Lasha is my favorite lifter, not just because he is clearly the best, but because of his cool clam and collected demeanor. Going in and not worrying about what ever else is going on. Not gloating. Love this so much!
Whenever I watch him lift I'm always so blown away at how graceful he is. A lot of SHW look so encumbered and he manages to look comfortable and effortless
He is extremely fast and flexible for a super. Definitely makes him fun to watch
At 5:39 it should read 200kg/440lbs. It's unbelievable how easy he makes these weights look.
chrisdavisjr I was looking to see if anyone caught that
For a lot of folks he's throwing around their squat or deadlift max lol
It's unfathomable how easily he snatches 200kg. Most people can't even deadlift that weight let alone fling the weight overhead with such ease.
I enjoyed every minute of this video.. His lifts, the admirers on the side, your narration.. Lasha seems to be lifting air.. so effortless wow..
I like how the bar keeps catching his under belly.
What I admire the most about Lasha is his humble demeanor, not many times will you see someone who's so obviously way better than everyone else yet they still stay humble and down to Earth. He lets his actions do the talking
Its hilaroius how small that 70kg on the bar looks compared to him
Fr, he does 70kg like I do 70 lbs
Elias Yazigi
Can you snatch 220lbs?
Please enter a name no why
Elias Yazigi because if 70 kg to him is 70 lbs to you, then that would mean that 220 kg to him, is 220 lbs to you
He just makes everything look so easy-a true sign of greatness
What does Lasha Talakhadze and the expansion of the universe have in common?
Both speed up their progress without anyone knowing how.,
Dark energy and genetically gifted could be the answer
Nice!
@@jaimeaguileradiaz8843 Dark energy is just a name we gave to the unknown cause for the speed up of the Universe's expansion.
@@ConnoisseurOfExistence true that
I bet that bar weighs nothing to him, it's like a broomstick
TehArgento what does a broomstick feel like?
@@Jo-hq4zt a toothpick...
@@Kaikojo what does a toothpick feel like
xd doesn’t even realise it’s there
More like 60kg is like a broomstick for him.. when you see how he snatches the 100kg.. didn't even need any technic or going into squat.. just straight up from the ground to overhead..
I remember reading an old archived article about Taranenko and how he was aware of the significance of the 600 lbs clean and jerk benchmark and how he hoped to hit it during his career. Obviously that never happened, and since then the only ones that really had a serious chance at it, before Lasha came along, were Rezazadeh and Lovchev. After seeing that 267 on Instagram, I think Lasha has the best chance at it, as well as the 500 kg total. If he was really determined to hit truly all-time legendary status, he would go for the 600 clean, 500 snatch, and 500 total.
this has quickly become my favorite lifting channel

I hope Lasha gets 3 olympic gold medal just like Naim/Halil/Pyrros/Kakhi
He will get more than 4
He may do 4 if he remains unpopped and relatively unchallenged.
@S Jamison I think he means if Lasha is not tested positive for drug use.
@S Jamison failed drug test.
That squats speed......just speechless 🤯🤯
bro his last set looked like rep 5 my god.

He did 320 kg / 705 lbs for 3 fast reps some years ago, when he was lighter!! Link:
instagram.com/p/BcIGFyMhyK2/?hl=en
I bet he could do a lot more now, if he wanted to!!!
I remember reading a interview years ago with Vasily Alekseyev and he said he saw no point in squatting any heavier than his clean and jerk ,you are correct about his pulls, even several of his openers over the years the pulls are so high they look power!
I remember this too. It's a hugely eye opening and in depth article.
Yall have the link? Im interested in this concept.
@@freshness2569 I don't ,it's something I read years ago,try Google might be there ,but it's common sense . Norik Vardanyan said his dad cleaned in competition more than his front squat . If you watch Talakhadze squat ,he does speed squatting with perfect form and hardly more than he cleans . Squat is a ansilary exercise ,too often I hear or read how much do you squat or dead lift ? This isn't power lifting it's only relative so far ;the bodies health is a priority and promoting explosive athletic movements in exact technique is the highest priority.
@@alfredmorganroth9349 ill look for. I can see why. But if it was that common sense. Then shouldnt every weightlifter be following this concept. Make sense?
@@freshness2569 not everyone has the same genetic features either, I would never plug in one program to fit all. But concepts can be incorporated in everyone's training.
we just admire his power, can't use his all techniques as textbook, he is so much taller and heavier yet still so fast at changing speed, with his height and weight dropping down is so much harder than other lifters. it's utterly amazing.
I don't think we have seen this man's limit yet. He may well be the first to C&J 600 lbs.
He is my new idol! This man is Superman! I love the way he puts his hand to the heart after his lifts on the stage to show gratitude. I think only he can pull it off! In my eyes, this man can play Santa for Christmas when he’s not lifting. Probably the strongest Santa that there is! Love his focus. One can learn a lot from this man here!
Glory to God!
Im so happy i subscribed to this channel.
Would love to see content from the british team
Perfect timing, just got on break at work :D
Машина, приятно посмотреть, дай Бог ему новых рекордов
пипец он 285 приседает как с пустой
For a guy that tall and that big, he moves as fast as a shorter man in the 75 or 85 kilo category. He drops under the bar incredibly fast, and he pulls very high. And, yes, he makes it all look easy.
yes, yes, yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, YEs, YEs, YEs, YES, YES YES!
BEST CHANNEL ON UA-cam
Thanks!
@@WeightliftingHouse no, thank you for getting me into the sport of weightlifting, and teaching me so much.
@@jamesw512 That's so great to hear!
Come to Georgia and eat Khinkali! Look what result it has 👍
To me he’s the best ever, I just regret that we never got to see the stacked SHW that we deserve. Something along the lines of Lasha Talabeastmode, a still game Salimi and Alihosseini, well schooled Lovchev and Albegov and maybe even Seim, Toychiev, Turmanidze and Dzhangabaev stepping up to the plate.
Lasha seems like such a nice and genuine guy
Հսկա Լաշա... strongest man :) bravo from Armenia
I always like your intro
What's the song
@@sabertoothwallaby2937 I think of some tv show but I don't recall which one
It’s the theme song from Matlock lol
May God bless him and keep him, he seems like a faithful man the way he crosses himself before each heavy lift. It is no wonder he is so successful.
Georgien Bull!!! God bless you!!!🙏🙏🙏
There’s a difference between believing you’re the best and knowing for a fact, you are the beat. Lasha knows
Верю в 500 !!!
very good video with informative commentary
this channel is just pure gold
Much appreciated!
🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪 kaukasian power !! Georgia
Dropping weights in sync of the intro 👌👌👌👌
Power snatch: 200kg, power clean: 245kg
I could see that
Orthodox brothers from Georgia true heroes of Christianity!
Oh my god he makes 200kg snatch look easier than I have seen anyone else do that weight.
Lasha ! 🇬🇪🇮🇱
His lifts are so smooth that it looks like he couldn’t sleep and decided to go to the gym at one in the morning
Also as if he could do them in his sleep... :D
By the looks of that 230kg i would agree with you that he could probably power clean 240kg.
I misread the title as Lasha snatches 230 and cleans 285 lol. One day, one day
საამაყო კაცი, ყველა სიხარულის მოლოდინით გიყურებს, წარმატებები ღმერთმა დაგლოცოს!
i'm new to the site .. . but it seems you have good rapport with all the nations ... to be able to record their athletes THIS closely.
very chill voice you have. those are fast squats and he doesn't take a huge silly breath that I see a lot of American lifters take in.
hes still taking a breath in guaranteed its just not as visual. lol.
ლაშა არის საქართველოს სიამაყე and i am proud to be a Georgian
Why do I think Lasha hasn't thought about a 500kg total? He seems like the kind of guy who just focus's on his next lift and that's it.
small typo, it says 200kg / 400lb in the snatch instead of 440. Thanks for a great video!
Конечно невероятно силен,и скорость поражает.
Holy shit this guy is strong.
This guy can take me one handed and just throw me up like a 5kg dumbell, lmao...
Lasha, the heavyweight olympic champion.
He knows he can do over 500 he just doesn’t want to embarrass the other lifters as much as he already does
Oh he will, on Olympics:)
A 500 kg total will surely be something to behold!
great storytelling. good content. cheers
what an athlete, mad respect
Clickbait title “Tian Tao squats more than Lasha???!!?”
Wolfe Mooney ?
Quebec Power Tian Tao’s best squat is 320kg, the video said Lasha’s only been filmed at 310
@@wolfemooney7188 That's Lasha warming up before competition (for reps) , and Tian Tao probably squating that during training in their facility (or a squat ladder).
Wolfe Mooney No, there’s a video of lasha 320kg for 3 reps. Tian’s best is 325kg.
Lasha does reps with 320.... He clearly squats more but because PRs are stupid he doesn't do itm
Lasha moves 285kg for 2 reps, the same way i work my % for 8 reps, i can see him doing at least 6 reps by judging at that form, it's stable, it's perfect.
Agreed. I bet he has a pretty filthy 10RM
Go upper and see his instagram video doin 320kg x3 same easy, and that was couple years ago when he was 20kg lighter. I think he would be able to do 400kg max in squat if he want to.
@@aggressorkfd i looked for it but i couldn't find any squatting video in any of his possible 3 accounts that have content there.

Lasha so strong the weight plate tried to run away
these videos are the best
Im pretty sure 200 kg equals to 440 lb, and not 400 lb as stated in the video.
Your correct 200 kg is 440 lbs
Amazing human being
Love your videos! Thanks
200kg is actually about 441 pounds. The graphic kept showing "200kg/400lbs" starting at around 5:40...makes it even more amazing!!
Thanks for the vid
I think Lasha will be first lifter to break 600 lb ,in clean and jerk ,and become all time champ ,

Great video, but I still wonder what’s the name of the intro song 🤔🤔🤔
If the weights were not being posted on the screen you would have no idea how monstrous this is. Walk into any gym and most people who put 100kg on the bar act like they are about to set a world record and then miss the lift. Lasha is, well, unbelievable.

What a beast
Lasha's new records are: 222kg + 263 = 485 kg, it happened during last European Championship in Moscow, Russia.
Alexey Lovchev is the real champ. Lasha is good but now Alexey Lovchev is come back. And soon we will see the good competition between these two super athletes. I think Alexey will do NEW WORLD RECORD like 4 years ago 264kg.
5:44 Morning paper!
Let's put it this way:
If you're worried about something somebody else is doing, that is less time during the day that you have to make yourself better.
I think Lasha recognizes this.
Considering what he’s done, I wouldn’t be surprised if he could power 250
The way he flings TWO HUNDRED KILOGRAMS over his head like it’s nothing... I mean that is just unimaginable to me.
