Love Ponce inlet, esp the jetty but hangup galore on inlet side. Also nice fishing on the ocean side when you can catch calmer water.

Yes, being my first time there I do like it just wish the flounder would’ve cooperated instead of the bluefish.
The ocean side was not even fishable.

Man that was low at the docks!!!
My first time there at Ponce and the docks. I really like it there. The ocean side was way to rough cause of the East winds was blowing perty hard. I’ll go there again for sure.

I caught a flounder before. Only once, but it was about 6" bigger. I didn't know what it was when i first got it on land lol. My buddy told me it was a flounder. It wasn't quite big enough to keep tho. I caught it in brackish water. It was kool how the water looked too where i caught it. There was a small creek that connected to the river. The creek was crystal clear as the river was muddy looking. But the 2 never mixed. Kinda like how the 2 oceans meet. One side is blue as the other side is brownish. Lol, it was kool. It was on the backside of Greenville NC. Its probably all built up by now. Been over 20 years since I've been there

@@FatTailFishing no I wasn't living in the north then. I was living in NC state at that time. I'm pretty sure there aren't flounder where I live now. But I've never fished for any here either, or not since I've been here

@@FatTailFishing oh I gotcha lol. Sorry I miss read what you said. My bad lol. Yeah I miss the south. It's where all my true friends are. Those that are left anyways. We did a lot of fishing and had fun together. Even went to the beach and fished there. I did however catch a blow fish. Had to use a rag to unhook it. It blew up on me and had spikes that flared up on it. Didn't wanna get poisoned by a fish lol. I caught some other kind of fish out there too but can't remember what it was. It was a decent size. Big enough to eat anyways. But we didn't have anywhere to put it so I threw it back in. We were fishing on the sound of Morehead. One of my old friends mom and dad built a house on the sound so we went for a visit and stayed at their house. It was nice. We got drunk and got his dad's boat stuck on a sandbar. That wasn't too fun tho lol. Thought we'd never get that boat out lol. We even went the same way we came, just a little too far left, lol. I don't drink like that anymore tho and haven't been fishing forever! Been about 3 years since I last fished. Too many posted signs where you can't fish anymore or if you do and have to buy a license, the price is outrageous!!
