what's impressive about Purdy to me is you can see him improving on every aspect rights before your eyes. Most QB,s come into the league may have great games and bad but they level out. I see Purdy growing as a QB from scrambling, anticipation with throws and reading Defenses at lighting speed. you can see his play elevate the offense it's fun to watch.
For you to act as If a quarterback look like Brady is not getting recognized when one would say he'd being more recognized for not being the reason that offense goes!
During that notorious 3-game stretch without his weapons last year, Purdy carried the team in two of those three games, and only lost the third because of a missed GWFG. Nobody should be surprised.
Malik Willis gets two games (against okayish teams) and no one questions it. Sam Darnold balls out- leads the league in red zone - against Super Bowl talented teams and everyone is like “let’s wait until postseason before we make a call on him.”
I think there's different standards being applied. Willis is getting praise because he's showing he can be an NFL QB when many thought he wasn't worthy of a roster spot. Darnold is trying to prove he is a good QB when he hasn't proven himself to be a starter before this year. A much higher bar that needs a bigger sample size of success compared to his larger sample size of failure. I would attribute much of the failure to playing with the Jets and Panthers. I predicted Darnold would have a Geno Smith like turn around when he signed with SF as the back up last year. Looking good so far.
So if the o-line is bad you don’t start a rookie? How many high drafted rookie QBs have a good o-line? Wasn’t his point that they have to get “scars” and experience? I wonder what the actual rates are for QBs long term success who sit vs start week 1.
Thr Bengals CANNOT lose to the Panthers. They can come back from 0-3. Burrow is playing well again and Chase looks up to speed now. But they HAVE to be Carolina. Richardson needs boince back game Vs a good Steelers D too. SF Can't lose to NE either. They have the LAR game away and won't play Seattle till week 5
I’m waiting for anyone to answer me, I’ve asked multiple times. No one is saying Brock is a bad qb, he’s really good, but is he a $65 million /year QB? I don’t think he is. And don’t bring in dak, cus he isn’t worth $60mill/year…
I don't think any qb is worth 65. That being said I don't think brock will be asking anything close to that maybe 50. Brock isn't that guys who values money over legacy.
The market price for a good QB is just inflated and goes up every year. If Jordan Love and Trevor Lawrence just got $55M I don’t see why it’s a stretch to think Purdy would be valued at around $60m when he signs an extension.
@Relish19 ya except the market don't sing the contract the player does. Brocks faith and family is more important to him than money. Brady took team friendly deals his whole career and Mahomes has already takin one to and I expect Brock to do the same as I believe that legacy and winning is more important to Brock than money.. we will find out next year though.
@maytrixredpill3943 when Mahomes signed he was highest paid. Best 9ers can hope for is a long term deal similar to Mahomes. Maybe like 8 years $480M $200 guaranteed? Deal will look better in a few years.

thanks for giving Brock his recognition, a lot of people bash him and as a 49er fan i feel we are so BLESSED too have him. the kid is incredible..
Imagine if the 49ers had an average defense and not one of the league's worst with a rookie defensive coordinator.

Brock didn't throw for 333 yards. He threw for 292 3 TDS and ran for 41 yards. It should be 333 total yards. Totally trying to be THAT guy :P
