Vyshyvanka Day: embroidered shirt became recognizable symbol of Ukraine in the world

The code of the nation, the sacred symbol, stylish, fashionable and modern clothes - all this is about the traditional #Ukrainian #embroidered shirt. On the eve of International #Vyshyvanka Day, more than a thousand people in 10 countries took part in a flash mob. In #Kyiv, employees of the Ministry of #ForeignAffairs joined the action. Why the Ukrainian traditional shirt has become a symbol of Ukrainian identity for the whole world and why the Russian occupiers are so afraid of it - our correspondent Valeriia Nekypelova found out.

Interesting that Ukranians are proud when their culture = fashion is shared among other cultures, while some cultures protest "cultural appropriation"... I have no idea how they think cultures and fashion evolved around the world without such exchanges. BTW: imagine the fragility of a culture like Russia afraid of Ukranian fashion.

Beautiful hair! I had a student who had hair this color/style/quality. She dyed it jet black, and it never returned to its original rich color. When she saw the dye job, her mother threw a fit--so did I!
