Rhiannon Giddens is a performer welcomed in the palaces and finest concert halls of the world for some time now. When she does perform there, she is by far the most beautiful lady in the palace or hall. Super talented from the start and able to play various instruments with exquisite skill. Always graceful and articulate. A most intelligent lady. I was always captivated by her voice which is unlike any other that I know of. She has a style and elegance all her own. Her voice flows to a tempo we cannot hear, but only know from her exciting performance. Rhiannon is literally a super talent and those of us who have watched her steadily and wonderfully perfect those talents with each passing year know she indeed is a super star. I would be denying my feelings were I to not mention her beauty we all can see. Quite noticeably a very beautiful woman even in early performances, today Rhiannons appearance is ever more gracefully beautiful and exquisitely elegant. Thank you so much for posting this video.
Rhiannon is an inspiration, attractive and talent wise, to both the black and white cultures of America. Her music and research into the origins of the banjo, for example, has illustrated a seamless interaction between cultures even as early as the 19th century regarding old time music. Her willingness to bring back the old style, Appalachian, and instrumentation preserves the history most dear to rational Americans.
That's one way to see it. I don't appreciate her dolling-up. She doesn't need dyed hair, make up and stage clothes. Look up the yt video for "Julie" - than you know what I mean.

Sorry but better than Linda Ronstadt? Seriously? Linda had major hits for years and a voice that at that time was unparalleled. Rhiannon has her own style and what makes her special in my eyes is her love of black history and keeping the music of that generation alive, telling the story of how it all came to be. She is amazing in every way but let's not compare the two, it isn't necessary. Now better than Christina? I'd rather listen to Rhiannon any day!
