For any 14 year old to play against men is impressive. When I was 16, the team I was on played a friendly against a team from a Royal Navy ship that was in town on a port visit. The RN team played the game at a higher technical level than we could which was expected. What wasn't was the actual physical differences due to age. I was never more exhausted after a game, completely beat down. I always think of that whenever I see youngsters make their pro debut's. Hats off to the kid.
As a kid, I was a fairly good athlete, played travel hockey and baseball with kids two years older. I can attest to that, on an even lower level. 2-3 times a year my father played a pretty competitive two hand touch football game with some old softball buddies. My pops finally let me play when he thought I could, around 13/14 playing with 40-45 year olds. I was quicker, faster, and could jump higher than probably 75% of those men…that was the first time in my life ever feeling thoroughly exhausted. There was even a stark distinction between the really good kids my age and Dadthletes lol
No it doesn’t but on high level it’s more about physicality and especially understanding the game. You can have incredible technical futsal players who wouldn’t last in a normal match. There is a lot more to soccer than just the touch. This is some random PR stuff and/or well connected family. Not even Messi played when he was 14.
As a Mexican fan this is what we need. It makes me so happy to see that at least the MLS is letting this young kids play. This is what futbol is about Soccer how the US calls it. Good for you MLS nos is time for Mexico to do the same!

@willmcclard206 The original comment points out a positive from a 14 yr old, and another guy essentially craps on it when it's the kid's first game ever. That's not really necessary at all to do that lol. It was a shot on Target, and it didn't go over, and he probably wouldn't have got another opportunity in his debut.
What a wonderful environment for a kid but to have his big bro there. It’s encouraging how all the other players, you could tell by their body langue, support and respect him.
What an awesome way to make a debut. Watch your brother score a banger, then come on and play some backyard passing drills with him before unleashing a solid shot on goal of your own. It's great that Philly had established enough of a lead that he could take a shot in the closing seconds without the pressure of needing to make something happen.
