Bought this myself. The screen is just gorgeous, it's professional grade with it's 100% sRGB coverage and high DCI-P3 coverage too, the cooling is much better than many competitors and it never thermal throttles. Liquid metal instead of ordinary thermal compounds makes the connection between the components much better too. Acer was generous with the port selection. I don't need USB hubs connected to this machine. Metal lid and around the keyboard and palm rests is nice. The only plastic areas are the bottom cover and the keyboard, with some flex while pressing down on and around the keyboard. I got this for 1860 USD after conversion because of a sale, so I just couldn't find another laptop with so much power at this price range. You Sukhveen are the first person I've seen today actually reviewing the 13900HX version with the 4070, all the other people I found had the 4050 and the 4080 versions. Thank you for the review. 😊

@@sondrel2 Buddy agreed, however the thermal performance of Helios is much superior to the lenovo legion series as even I have a top flagship model of Legion Y740 with Core i7 but helios performs better in thermals when compared. With this laptop that you've presented in your video, for heavy high end CPU and GPU tasks like 3D Rendering, 4K Video Editing and Graphic Designing should the battery charger wire be inserted in the computer's charging port during these tasks with the computer getting charged whilst these tasks are going on or should I just run these tasks on the laptop without the on going charging with the battery backup which lasts about 3 - 4 hrs ?..... The reason for asking is that I've read people's experiences saying that running heavy high end CPU and GPU tasks with the charging wire inserted and the charging of the battery going on deteriorates the quality of the battery and eventually the battery can no longer function and dies even though it's a fairly new battery and laptop.
Hey buddy good you asked this imp question very nice comment. Let me explain you in dept. For any gaming laptop or high-end config laptop the laptop will only perform at the peak performance when the charger is connected & power is supplied then & only then the GPU & CPU inside the laptop will work at full wattage which is called the TGP of both the processors so to run both the processors at Max power possible to achieve full performance for heavy and intense graphic works or gaming you need to operate only on charger and for casual works like documents, surfing, watching videos, typing, copying data etc.. can be achieved at full potential even on battery. Now the basic rule of any battery of laptop or any other device which runs on battery is that you need to maintain a proper charging cycle for the battery for it's longer life span and (non deterioration) you need to charge it between 15% to 90% only. Every time it should not fall below 15% & not rise above 90% while charging if you can maintain that it will keep any device battery super long lasting. The first & last cell on a battery is the main cell which needs to be protected everytime from getting overcharged or undercharged for longevity of good battery lifespan and if you keep this laptop always connected to power (charging at 100% always) while using even better absolutely no issues at all. It will not effect the battery at all as all the modern day battery in all laptops or devices comes equipped with that smart circuit to cut out the charging at 100% and bypass the charging effect. It completely cut the battery from charging and only keep laptop running on just the power only at 100%. Only if the power is intercepted the charging circuit brings back the battery in role again which was bypassed. @@User3.3.3 It's not the antivirus or the make of antivirus comapnies that matter it's the updates which the virus definition gets every month that needs to be done properly & u need to keep all antivirus updated completely only then it supports the PC or Laptops nicely which most of these third party antivirus companies don't immediately update with windows being updated regularly so that creates a clash in thier operation with windows as they take time for providing newer updates & by the time they provide the update again a new security update or feature update of windows arrives so this keeps going in loop and the PC or laptop performance keeps lagging & hanging. So the best possible solution in this case is to use the Windows 10 or Windows 11 inbuilt antivirus in settings which is 'Microsoft Defender' I myself only use that & don't keep any thrid party antivirus in system. The microsoft defender antivirus automatically updates to new definitions with windows updates as & when the update comes so all works in sync & pc or laptop performes awesome. hope this answers your query 🙂👍🏻. Just incase if you want to keep a third party antivirus which is free and good in updates & functioning there are 3 that comes to my mind which I have used in past it's Antivirus 360, Avira & Avast Antivirus which are free & lite on space & performs much better than these costly antivirus like Norton, Mcafee, Bitdefender & Quickheal etc & plus these save your money too which you spend on membership of these costly antivirus options which you can actually spend in upgrading your laptop or somewhere else.

Buddy hands down Intel i9 13900HX is more powerful, cooler in operation & also more power efficient when compared to Ryzen 9. The reason is the architecture in which it's made is much much better. So I think you should go for an Intel i9 with RTX 4070 for sure. It's not that Ryzen 9 is bad it's only that Intel is better. One of the best thermals ( in general use this laptop is ice cold even while gaming its cold 🥶 ) Predator's are known for best thermals you can find in any gaming laptop as I have allready said in my video watch complete video buddy & the Fan Noise is very silent in all modes even in performance mode its silent. Only when you put the laptop in Full Blast Turbo Mode (which is barely required as all tasks it performs on performance mode) @ that time you can hear the fan noise but still they run fast not noisy at all its a smooth sound of fast air passing if you can get what I mean. I also have the same model. I'm absolutely loving it so far. I only have two major problems with it. My unit's screen bleed seemed a little too much but looking at your screen I feel like it's pretty normal. The only thing I ABSOLUTELY HATE is that the chassis backplate has a warranty void sticker so I can't upgrade the RAM/storage myself without voiding the warranty. If I want to upgrade it, I'll have to physically go to an 'Acer certified' repair store and even pay them for simply removing the back plate and slotting in the RAM/SSD. Absolute scam! This is actually illegal in America but we live in India so they can keep fucking over consumers if they feel like it. Luckily I don't feel that It lacks anywhere in its out of the box experience but since I do creative work in 3D, I would appreciate being able to upgrade to 32gbs without having to travel and pay some guy, who is definitely overqualified, any amount of money to do such a simple upgrade.
Agreed with that. You can upgrade it if you are confident that you would use your laptop nicely as it is it has international warranty of just one year or wait for a year for having that upgraded. I have personally removed my sticker to put in an extra nvme m.2 pcie gen 4 ssd on th extra slot available to upgrade space along with the one that comes in the laptop. No not at all buddy the built is fabulous for this Acer Predator Helios 16 latest version is known for it's built & excellent thermal performance best than any other gaming laptop. I have used It now for months feels tough & the hinge is smooth & feels solid even very less wobble the plastic at the bottom panel near the vents is very tough & durable rest all laptop is made of Aluminium Alloy (metal) so the toughest you can get in laptops 💻. I fail to understand why people call such option weak built as all other laptops in market leaving Lenovo Legion series aside are made of just plastic so how can this be lite or weak built compared to those. Buddy I have kept that off under Nvidia GSYNC for Predator display. To enable 10-bit color, in the NVIDIA Control Panel, click on 'Change resolution', then, under '3. Apply the follow settings', select 10 bpc for 'Output color depth.' This selection needs to be enable in order to display 1.07 billion colors. Buddy just one difference that is huge in gaming & performance laptop world, when compared with Strix G16 this Predator Helios 16 &18 has world class thermals which are better than Strix G16 infact way better than any other laptop in thermals as it has liquid metal paste applied on CPU & GPU & I think that performs & does the job really well the thermals of this laptop never crosses 85°C where as Stix G16 & others crosses 100°C under heavy performance loads. Also it has RTX 4070 & Strix G16 Has RTX 4060 in same budget & I feel RTX 4070 will perform 10% to 15 % better in overall performance. Currently Iam able to afford this in my country for 2k eur, while also the asus strix g16 i9 rtx4070 for 2k eur but I dont like the 3 cm thickness of that notebook. I want something more portable. Hello, So I'm new to the gaming tech side of things and i need help deciding on whether i should choose the Acer predator Neo with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4060 ) or Acer Predator Helios with ( Intel core i7 RTX 4060 ) Should i go with the Acer predator neo as it has the intel i9 or should i go for the Acer predator Helios which has a better refresh rate of 240 hz but has the intel i7 ? At first i was looking to buy the Acer predator Helios with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4070 ) the same model and Variant like the one in this video , but that variant is now out of stock on the Acer online store as well as in the offline Acer dealership ( i am not comfortable buying digital devices and products from third party web stores like Amazon due to terrible past experiences. ) I have found that these are the only 2 best options available after researching by myself and the offline acer store manager also said the same. ( The 4080 variant is totally out of my budget ) The main tasks that I'm gonna perform on the laptop are Photo editing on Adobe Photoshop , video editing on Davinci or Adobe premiere pro ( including rendering videos in 4k ) , Graphic Designing on Adobe illustrator and maybe even 3d modelling occassionally. Buddy I think you should buy Acer Predator Helios with RTX 4070 with Core i9 13900HX processor the one in this video (is a better than the two choices you gave) buy from online as I got my model from online under (open box delivery) on door which is safe in which you accept the delivery only after checking the laptop completely on door so its rather safe. If you not willing to buy online or else out of your two choices I will suggest go with Acer Predator Helios Neo with Core i9 (13900HX) & RTX 4060 always go with good hardware on top of Refresh Rate as hardware is the one that will keep your laptop performing good over long period of time & makes it powerful too for every tasks as you mentioned. I believe the Acer Predator Helios Neo too has a refresh rate of 165Hz which is also sufficiently enough to perform all heavy tasks easily ok. Hey how is that possible this laptop is overkill for PUBG it plays PubG On highest settings possible. Buddy try & update to latest Nvidia drivers first then change the Nvidia settings to discrete graphics as shown in this video the (Mux Switch Setting) as this laptop comes with mux switch after you shift that setting through exclusive graphics card RTX 4070 shift the laptop to performance mode & then try your problem will be resolved. The noise of the fans are loud only when Turbo Mode is turned On In Predator Sense software inbuilt in laptop & that is meant for that for very cooled performance. However when shifted to Performance Mode which I feel is enough for (Intense work & gaming) the fans are quite silent & keeps the laptop cool also not seen it cross 70°C to 80°C under performance mode even when doing heavy tasks. Hi dear .I deleted the previous keyboard and mouse driver and downloaded and installed it again from the Acer site, but the keyboard still shows only one color. In the Predator Sense program, every change I make, even the preview of the effects, is not displayed on the keyboard. It is not applied to the keyboard at all.😢whyyyyyyy
Buddy just go with it. It's an amazing laptop & this one comes with 8GB VRam mine has it & 16GB Vram Is only 10% better for same generation of graphics cards & all previous generation of graphics cards with 16GB VRam Will perform much lower to a 8GB VRam of latest generation & you will pay a lot more for that. Rather I'll suggest go with an RTX 4080 in that case with 12GB VRam if you want to pay more it will be much much better however RTX 4070 with 8GB VRam is sweet spot for sufficient & beast like performance to absolutely do anything on it. All AAA title gaming & 4K editing all works butter smooth in budget hope you get what I mean. Apart from that this Laptop has all, the best thermals in business predator laptop's are known for that they give best thermal & cooling hence due to that performance is awesome better than any other 💻. No I have played on this laptop for more than 10+ hrs now constant but the deck near the keyboard or W A S D Keys never gets even warm the entire heat is sucked out from below effectively via aero blade fans I think the reason for this is the efficient fan speed & performance. The heat near the vents on left & right side & back side vents feels warm but never HOT or overheated even near the vents.

I just got this laptop a few days ago. I updated the system and wanted to start my first game today: total war three kingdoms. When I start a new campaign my gpu performance goes to 99% and the fans get extremely loud in performance mode. I played around a lot with the graphic settings in game and from NVIDIA as well as the Acer app. I was so frustrated I turned the settings down extremely and also resolution but gpu is still up to much. Can you recommend me something as a solution? Laptop is placed on a normal wooden table with no cooling pad or anything under it
Hey Hi will try to solve your difficulty here.. Total War 3 is a CPU intensive game all strategy games are CPU intensive I would suggest that first you update the Nvidia drivers to latest version as every month they release new drivers for GPU to Sync With CPU & then in the MUX switch of your Laptop (💻 Predator Helios With RTX 4070) Put your laptop in Balanced mode not Performance mode ok then go in Graphic Settings from Nvidia Software Settings set the performance to discrete CPU & try the game & it might solve the issue if not shift it to discrete GPU & try ok. What I found out yesterday was that it really is kind of a game problem and a lack in development because it also occurs directly on the campaign map. I limited the fps to 60 in NVIDIA settings which also helped a lot. GPU went down dramatically but CPU is still pretty loud and around 80-85% usage. Kind regards from Germany. Matt

Buddy while gaming i7 Laptops go till even 110°C so 98°C to 100°C is normal no issues & yes i7 throttling is common issue in most games. That is why I recommend to go with Core i9 version in my video. I would suggest shift to discrete graphics mode with MUX switch in this laptop inside nvidia software & then play, it will improve the throttling issue & still if the throttling persist I think you should get your laptop replaced under warranty cause then it can be an issue with the liquid metal paste applied on your GPU ok.

@@aaryankartik...3206 Yes buddy enable g-sync & try it will work smooth coz g-sync adds extra frames to the game to make it run smooth as the card is an RTX series card so it should run nice & when you enable g sync in control panel the game vsync should also be enabled inside game settings ok to configure properly ok but some time disabling gync or vsync in some game settings works more smoother with laptop g-sync enabled so you have to trial that ok. Buddy Iam glad you purchased a right choice for a long period of time ths machine will go strong coz has awesome thermals best in class. I agree there are no custom settings in acer predator sense software but the software is made nice without errors & however lenovo vantage also doesn't let you tweak manually in deep the settings. Whereas acer atleast helps you in tweaking custom fan speeds which is important to maintain good thermals. I bought this laptop recently and having issues with the frame of laptop. It makes a creaking sound while opening and closing the laptop. I complained about it at the croma centre where i bought it , they said the build quality is in such a way because screen is fragile . And sometimes the predator sense in my laptop stop working like i am not able to switch to different mode , control speed of fans and also i am not able to change keyboard lighting. This all issue stops after i reboot the laptop while pressing the shut down button. I am really anxious that i might got the defective product 🥹
Yes buddy sad to know this that there are these many defects in your piece truly it's a defective piece which you have got please get it replaced under one year warranty policy of acer at an authorised acer service center tell them that you have these many problems & you have got a defective piece so that they will get it replaced for you go with your bill of purchase for them to know that you have genuinely purchased it from croma. Cause my piece is just fab all working fine from so many days you have definitely got a defective one for sure it happens some time in manufacturing you get a piece from a dirty batch. But the issue is they are refusing to replace it . I issued a complaint about the same in croma and acer too and they also sent an engineer for an inspection but they did not replace it but said the build quality is in such a way to protect the screen which is very fragile. They said since i purchased this product from croma , acer will not do anything even i have claimed the extended warranty. I also had a dispute with croma since they were pressuring me to buy a warranty from them which was of 60k rupees.
Buddy incase of a defective laptop you need to take it up with the brand customer care & authorised brand service center from website find it near your location & tell them to replace or repair it tell them time is not a problem I want the piece to work fine as I have spend my hard earned money on it. Incase of defective laptop 💻 which is genuinely manufacturing defect nothing can be done outside buddy only brand can replace the part & help & it would be very difficult if the warranty is over or crossed the date they will deny the replacement then you have to do a paid repair only.

Bought this myself. The screen is just gorgeous, it's professional grade with it's 100% sRGB coverage and high DCI-P3 coverage too, the cooling is much better than many competitors and it never thermal throttles. Liquid metal instead of ordinary thermal compounds makes the connection between the components much better too. Acer was generous with the port selection. I don't need USB hubs connected to this machine. Metal lid and around the keyboard and palm rests is nice. The only plastic areas are the bottom cover and the keyboard, with some flex while pressing down on and around the keyboard. I got this for 1860 USD after conversion because of a sale, so I just couldn't find another laptop with so much power at this price range. You Sukhveen are the first person I've seen today actually reviewing the 13900HX version with the 4070, all the other people I found had the 4050 and the 4080 versions. Thank you for the review. 😊

With this laptop that you've presented in your video, for heavy high end CPU and GPU tasks like 3D Rendering, 4K Video Editing and Graphic Designing should the battery charger wire be inserted in the computer's charging port during these tasks with the computer getting charged whilst these tasks are going on or should I just run these tasks on the laptop without the on going charging with the battery backup which lasts about 3 - 4 hrs ?..... The reason for asking is that I've read people's experiences saying that running heavy high end CPU and GPU tasks with the charging wire inserted and the charging of the battery going on deteriorates the quality of the battery and eventually the battery can no longer function and dies even though it's a fairly new battery and laptop.
Hey buddy good you asked this imp question very nice comment. Let me explain you in dept. For any gaming laptop or high-end config laptop the laptop will only perform at the peak performance when the charger is connected & power is supplied then & only then the GPU & CPU inside the laptop will work at full wattage which is called the TGP of both the processors so to run both the processors at Max power possible to achieve full performance for heavy and intense graphic works or gaming you need to operate only on charger and for casual works like documents, surfing, watching videos, typing, copying data etc.. can be achieved at full potential even on battery.
Now the basic rule of any battery of laptop or any other device which runs on battery is that you need to maintain a proper charging cycle for the battery for it's longer life span and (non deterioration) you need to charge it between 15% to 90% only. Every time it should not fall below 15% & not rise above 90% while charging if you can maintain that it will keep any device battery super long lasting. The first & last cell on a battery is the main cell which needs to be protected everytime from getting overcharged or undercharged for longevity of good battery lifespan and if you keep this laptop always connected to power (charging at 100% always) while using even better absolutely no issues at all. It will not effect the battery at all as all the modern day battery in all laptops or devices comes equipped with that smart circuit to cut out the charging at 100% and bypass the charging effect. It completely cut the battery from charging and only keep laptop running on just the power only at 100%. Only if the power is intercepted the charging circuit brings back the battery in role again which was bypassed.

@@User3.3.3 It's not the antivirus or the make of antivirus comapnies that matter it's the updates which the virus definition gets every month that needs to be done properly & u need to keep all antivirus updated completely only then it supports the PC or Laptops nicely which most of these third party antivirus companies don't immediately update with windows being updated regularly so that creates a clash in thier operation with windows as they take time for providing newer updates & by the time they provide the update again a new security update or feature update of windows arrives so this keeps going in loop and the PC or laptop performance keeps lagging & hanging. So the best possible solution in this case is to use the Windows 10 or Windows 11 inbuilt antivirus in settings which is 'Microsoft Defender' I myself only use that & don't keep any thrid party antivirus in system. The microsoft defender antivirus automatically updates to new definitions with windows updates as & when the update comes so all works in sync & pc or laptop performes awesome. hope this answers your query 🙂👍🏻.
Just incase if you want to keep a third party antivirus which is free and good in updates & functioning there are 3 that comes to my mind which I have used in past it's Antivirus 360, Avira & Avast Antivirus which are free & lite on space & performs much better than these costly antivirus like Norton, Mcafee, Bitdefender & Quickheal etc & plus these save your money too which you spend on membership of these costly antivirus options which you can actually spend in upgrading your laptop or somewhere else.

Buddy hands down Intel i9 13900HX is more powerful, cooler in operation & also more power efficient when compared to Ryzen 9. The reason is the architecture in which it's made is much much better. So I think you should go for an Intel i9 with RTX 4070 for sure. It's not that Ryzen 9 is bad it's only that Intel is better. One of the best thermals ( in general use this laptop is ice cold even while gaming its cold 🥶 ) Predator's are known for best thermals you can find in any gaming laptop as I have allready said in my video watch complete video buddy & the Fan Noise is very silent in all modes even in performance mode its silent. Only when you put the laptop in Full Blast Turbo Mode (which is barely required as all tasks it performs on performance mode) @ that time you can hear the fan noise but still they run fast not noisy at all its a smooth sound of fast air passing if you can get what I mean. I also have the same model. I'm absolutely loving it so far. I only have two major problems with it. My unit's screen bleed seemed a little too much but looking at your screen I feel like it's pretty normal. The only thing I ABSOLUTELY HATE is that the chassis backplate has a warranty void sticker so I can't upgrade the RAM/storage myself without voiding the warranty. If I want to upgrade it, I'll have to physically go to an 'Acer certified' repair store and even pay them for simply removing the back plate and slotting in the RAM/SSD. Absolute scam! This is actually illegal in America but we live in India so they can keep fucking over consumers if they feel like it. Luckily I don't feel that It lacks anywhere in its out of the box experience but since I do creative work in 3D, I would appreciate being able to upgrade to 32gbs without having to travel and pay some guy, who is definitely overqualified, any amount of money to do such a simple upgrade.

Agreed with that. You can upgrade it if you are confident that you would use your laptop nicely as it is it has international warranty of just one year or wait for a year for having that upgraded. I have personally removed my sticker to put in an extra nvme m.2 pcie gen 4 ssd on th extra slot available to upgrade space along with the one that comes in the laptop. No not at all buddy the built is fabulous for this Acer Predator Helios 16 latest version is known for it's built & excellent thermal performance best than any other gaming laptop. I have used It now for months feels tough & the hinge is smooth & feels solid even very less wobble the plastic at the bottom panel near the vents is very tough & durable rest all laptop is made of Aluminium Alloy (metal) so the toughest you can get in laptops 💻. I fail to understand why people call such option weak built as all other laptops in market leaving Lenovo Legion series aside are made of just plastic so how can this be lite or weak built compared to those. I am considering buying this laptop but I noticed in ur review that the display doesn't support HDR in the display settings, I've heard that the display is HDR from other reviews. Can u please update me on this whether it is a bug or not.
Buddy I have kept that off under Nvidia GSYNC for Predator display. To enable 10-bit color, in the NVIDIA Control Panel, click on 'Change resolution', then, under '3. Apply the follow settings', select 10 bpc for 'Output color depth.' This selection needs to be enable in order to display 1.07 billion colors. Buddy just one difference that is huge in gaming & performance laptop world, when compared with Strix G16 this Predator Helios 16 &18 has world class thermals which are better than Strix G16 infact way better than any other laptop in thermals as it has liquid metal paste applied on CPU & GPU & I think that performs & does the job really well the thermals of this laptop never crosses 85°C where as Stix G16 & others crosses 100°C under heavy performance loads. Currently Iam able to afford this in my country for 2k eur, while also the asus strix g16 i9 rtx4070 for 2k eur but I dont like the 3 cm thickness of that notebook. I want something more portable. Hello, So I'm new to the gaming tech side of things and i need help deciding on whether i should choose the Acer predator Neo with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4060 ) or Acer Predator Helios with ( Intel core i7 RTX 4060 )
Should i go with the Acer predator neo as it has the intel i9 or should i go for the Acer predator Helios which has a better refresh rate of 240 hz but has the intel i7 ?
At first i was looking to buy the Acer predator Helios with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4070 ) the same model and Variant like the one in this video , but that variant is now out of stock on the Acer online store as well as in the offline Acer dealership ( i am not comfortable buying digital devices and products from third party web stores like Amazon due to terrible past experiences. ) I have found that these are the only 2 best options available after researching by myself and the offline acer store manager also said the same. ( The 4080 variant is totally out of my budget )
The main tasks that I'm gonna perform on the laptop are Photo editing on Adobe Photoshop , video editing on Davinci or Adobe premiere pro ( including rendering videos in 4k ) , Graphic Designing on Adobe illustrator and maybe even 3d modelling occassionally.

Buddy I think you should buy Acer Predator Helios with RTX 4070 with Core i9 13900HX processor the one in this video (is a better than the two choices you gave) buy from online as I got my model from online under (open box delivery) on door which is safe in which you accept the delivery only after checking the laptop completely on door so its rather safe. If you not willing to buy online or else out of your two choices I will suggest go with Acer Predator Helios Neo with Core i9 (13900HX) & RTX 4060 always go with good hardware on top of Refresh Rate as hardware is the one that will keep your laptop performing good over long period of time & makes it powerful too for every tasks as you mentioned. I believe the Acer Predator Helios Neo too has a refresh rate of 165Hz which is also sufficiently enough to perform all heavy tasks easily ok. The noise of the fans are loud only when Turbo Mode is turned On In Predator Sense software inbuilt in laptop & that is meant for that for very cooled performance. However when shifted to Performance Mode which I feel is enough for (Intense work & gaming) the fans are quite silent & keeps the laptop cool also not seen it cross 70°C to 80°C under performance mode even when doing heavy tasks. Hello, I have an Acer Predator Neo 16 2023 laptop. After reinstalling Windows 11 and installing Predator Sense, I adjusted the RGB keyboard light. It's exactly the same. When I choose different modes, there is no effect on the keyboard. So, most likely, the keyboard driver must be reinstalled.

Hi dear .I deleted the previous keyboard and mouse driver and downloaded and installed it again from the Acer site, but the keyboard still shows only one color. Buddy just go with it. It's an amazing laptop & this one comes with 8GB VRam mine has it & 16GB Vram Is only 10% better for same generation of graphics cards & all previous generation of graphics cards with 16GB VRam Will perform much lower to a 8GB VRam of latest generation & you will pay a lot more for that. Rather I'll suggest go with an RTX 4080 in that case with 12GB VRam if you want to pay more it will be much much better however RTX 4070 with 8GB VRam is sweet spot for sufficient & beast like performance to absolutely do anything on it. All AAA title gaming & 4K editing all works butter smooth in budget hope you get what I mean. Apart from that this Laptop has all, the best thermals in business predator laptop's are known for that they give best thermal & cooling hence due to that performance is awesome better than any other 💻. You can also increase the Ram (2 ram slots increase upto 32GB dual channel) in this as there are two slots very easily & also can put an extra nvme m.2 gen 4 SSD to increase space ok 😉👍🏻. No I have played on this laptop for more than 10+ hrs now constant but the deck near the keyboard or W A S D Keys never gets even warm the entire heat is sucked out from below effectively via aero blade fans I think the reason for this is the efficient fan speed & performance. The heat near the vents on left & right side & back side vents feels warm but never HOT or overheated even near the vents.

I just got this laptop a few days ago. I updated the system and wanted to start my first game today: total war three kingdoms.
When I start a new campaign my gpu performance goes to 99% and the fans get extremely loud in performance mode. I played around a lot with the graphic settings in game and from NVIDIA as well as the Acer app.
I was so frustrated I turned the settings down extremely and also resolution but gpu is still up to much.
Can you recommend me something as a solution?
Laptop is placed on a normal wooden table with no cooling pad or anything under it
Hey Hi will try to solve your difficulty here.. Total War 3 is a CPU intensive game all strategy games are CPU intensive I would suggest that first you update the Nvidia drivers to latest version as every month they release new drivers for GPU to Sync With CPU & then in the MUX switch of your Laptop (💻 Predator Helios With RTX 4070) Put your laptop in Balanced mode not Performance mode ok then go in Graphic Settings from Nvidia Software Settings set the performance to discrete CPU & try the game & it might solve the issue if not shift it to discrete GPU & try ok. I will try that later. What I found out yesterday was that it really is kind of a game problem and a lack in development because it also occurs directly on the campaign map. I limited the fps to 60 in NVIDIA settings which also helped a lot. GPU went down dramatically but CPU is still pretty loud and around 80-85% usage.

Buddy while gaming i7 Laptops go till even 110°C so 98°C to 100°C is normal no issues & yes i7 throttling is common issue in most games. That is why I recommend to go with Core i9 version in my video.
I would suggest shift to discrete graphics mode with MUX switch in this laptop inside nvidia software & then play, it will improve the throttling issue & still if the throttling persist I think you should get your laptop replaced under warranty cause then it can be an issue with the liquid metal paste applied on your GPU ok.

@@aaryankartik...3206 Yes buddy enable g-sync & try it will work smooth coz g-sync adds extra frames to the game to make it run smooth as the card is an RTX series card so it should run nice & when you enable g sync in control panel the game vsync should also be enabled inside game settings ok to configure properly ok but some time disabling gync or vsync in some game settings works more smoother with laptop g-sync enabled so you have to trial that ok. As a gaming beast acer Predator sense app ekdam ghatiya or bekar hain.. itna simple kon deta hsin itna powerful machine mein kuch v manual tweak nei kar sakte sab auto hain.. software ekdam bekar baki sab best... Software should be like Lenovo vantage & Asus ones
Buddy Iam glad you purchased a right choice for a long period of time ths machine will go strong coz has awesome thermals best in class. I agree there are no custom settings in acer predator sense software but the software is made nice without errors & however lenovo vantage also doesn't let you tweak manually in deep the settings. Whereas acer atleast helps you in tweaking custom fan speeds which is important to maintain good thermals. @@Sukhveen no, lenovo vantage with new updates and all on legion laptops its unlocks everything, cpu/gpu overlocking,under-clocking, undervolting etc even fan speed as well and all. But yes predator sense software good to go just need manual settings

In todays scenario of laptop only Acer & Lenovo laptop are going neck to neck in after sales service & they are good. I bought this laptop recently and having issues with the frame of laptop. It makes a creaking sound while opening and closing the laptop. I complained about it at the croma centre where i bought it , they said the build quality is in such a way because screen is fragile . And sometimes the predator sense in my laptop stop working like i am not able to switch to different mode , control speed of fans and also i am not able to change keyboard lighting. This all issue stops after i reboot the laptop while pressing the shut down button. I am really anxious that i might got the defective product 🥹
Yes buddy sad to know this that there are these many defects in your piece truly it's a defective piece which you have got please get it replaced under one year warranty policy of acer at an authorised acer service center tell them that you have these many problems & you have got a defective piece so that they will get it replaced for you go with your bill of purchase for them to know that you have genuinely purchased it from croma. Cause my piece is just fab all working fine from so many days you have definitely got a defective one for sure it happens some time in manufacturing you get a piece from a dirty batch. But the issue is they are refusing to replace it . I issued a complaint about the same in croma and acer too and they also sent an engineer for an inspection but they did not replace it but said the build quality is in such a way to protect the screen which is very fragile. They said since i purchased this product from croma , acer will not do anything even i have claimed the extended warranty. I also had a dispute with croma since they were pressuring me to buy a warranty from them which was of 60k rupees.
I bought this laptop around diwali last year in 2023 , is there anything i could do please help me 🥹

Buddy incase of a defective laptop you need to take it up with the brand customer care & authorised brand service center from website find it near your location & tell them to replace or repair it tell them time is not a problem I want the piece to work fine as I have spend my hard earned money on it. Incase of defective laptop 💻 which is genuinely manufacturing defect nothing can be done outside buddy only brand can replace the part & help & it would be very difficult if the warranty is over or crossed the date they will deny the replacement then you have to do a paid repair only.
what about for video editing? i found at 1.500€ with i9 4060 and 16gb
It can do very well in 4K Video Editing buddy this Laptop is absolutely made for that job only. Absolutely smooth no issues at all while heavy video edits.
