I’m totally new to embroidery. Have this machine, I’m totally stuck on how to get files from a pc to my 880e, what program do I need? Do you have to have PE11 software as a minimum? Can Artspira be used to transfer files? (For eg if I bought a file on Etsy?), does it need to be the paid version? Thanks in advance, Mandi
Hello! You'll have to digitize your logo using specialist software. Brother do have their own version of this software called PE design 11 which is a great option as you get it discounted whenever you buy a brother embroidery machine!
may I ask if it's possible to import my own design into the software? or I will be required to do the design in the specialist software / brother's software? 😊
You can use any brand of digitizing software to create your own designs, as long as they are in .pes format, the machine will read them. There are a lot of options when it comes to digitizing software, but I do like the brother one the most personally, it depends on what you're used to! (also you get a discount on the brother software when buying a brother embroidery machine)

This machine is embroidery only I'm afraid. If it's both that you're after, I would recommend looking at the Brother M380d or F580.
