Criminal I know He was a SuperStar in our community

Never got over Just Be True...
He should be in the HOF, I suspect it will happen! Turn-a-bout is fair play...it will happen. I love Gene, his music, and is personality. Met him years ago in Houston during my HS days. I met his guitarist (skip Pitts) about 1966. Skip later played with Ike Hayes and helped him create a million seller playing shaft.
Clennis Hgh (guitarist)
I love the Duke of earl. But I have to say every time I hear a groovy situation. I heard it'the other day.
And its Follow up simply call it Love Early fall and late Fall. Nineteen seventy.. Put a smile on my face. And that great album jean chandler situation. Also Honorable mention bright lights and you girl. Highly recommended to anyone it's never heard it.

I love and appreciate this legend!
"Duke of Earl" was the first record I ever bought for myself (age 12). I've never forgotten the date of the purchase: January 27, 1962. I played it over and over, driving my mother mental.
He had so many hits man this guy was a Giant, For some reason I have always said that R. Kelly was the Gene Chandler of his generation
I enjoyed your interview, Gene! Say hello to DeFrantz for me!
