Love your colors. I am making some dip powders in fall colors. I have the red and waiting for the yellow that I ordered. I made a light copper color and Tan. Thank you
Totally random question - I have a burnt sienna/burnt Orange garment I want to dye into a dark brick red/brown… Any suggestions on which color I would use to achieve the dark brick red?
My problem is that I'm doing this with interior house paint, which has a white base. So, I have a pinkish hue to it, like tomato soup, which does NOT look very desert-y Southwest, LOL. Adding more brown, and will still need some more red I think, but it may need some black to help negate that white base. Been back to HD 7 times so far, but I don't want to add too much. I can always add more, but I can't undo it if I add too much.
Nice mam. I've been studying color theory and I'm about to try a mohawk hair style. I've been wanting to add this burnt color to it temporarily. I think it's a pretty nice and warm color not to bright and it goes well with my skin tones. I think I will give it a try.
@@CourageousColor Ok, here's a couple more combinations that I would like to try as well: Taupe Brown + Mustard Yellow And Taupe Brown + Cream color Thanks.
@@gtoneable so cool. I have a video coming out soon ... it's called 10 Shades of Purple and one shade is Taupe! Hopefully, you'll be able to take that shade and add the other values you want.
When you want to darken orange or any colour do you usually only do that by adding black? I want to learn more about how to make different shades of one colour. Many thanks Erin
Yes. Van dyke brown would work. The purple and orange mixture will make brown but it wont be burnt sienna. It would be a dark clay brown with a red hue.
Would you say that the burnt sienna is equivalent to Texas longhorn burnt orange I want to paint some custom shoes and they’re the Texas longhorn burnt orange
I bought one of those metal signs that says "eat" which I loved but it doesn't go with my color scheme so I bought it knowing I'd paint it burnt sienna since that's my accent color. This video made me much less nervous to get the color right 😁 thanks you!
What if you don’t have brown
You can mix any two opposites colors on the color wheel to get brown. Blue & Orange, Yellow & Purple, or Red & Green 😃
I’m needing to know what to mix to paint a picture of a basketball. This was helpful. Thank you.
Thank you! I am new with acrylic (I paint watercolour) , and I am learning a lot with your channel.

If you’re able to make the shade with acrylic paint, you could bring it to them. Some paint stores can match a sample.
@@CourageousColor Thank you. I am slowly getting the shade right, in place.

If i have orange then put some brown ? Its okey

Would Van Dyke brown work with mixing orange to get burnt sienna? How about adding purple? Thank you!

Yes. Very close to that color!
I do wish it'd said which "yellow" which "red" etc...
It’s going to be the most basic red and yellow you can find. No special shade. Nothing added. Just the primary colors.
thank you!@@CourageousColor
I am painting a harvest moon on a rock
WHY YOU DO NOT SAY WHICH RED AND YELLOW ?
I use sax arts paints that I bought on Amazon.
My yellow and red turned pink😢
😯 So sorry. Some brands use a weak/pink red as their primary color. For this video, I used Sax paint. Other brand's results may vary.
I need moderate orange 💔😭
I have another video for you! 10 shades of orange. Hope this helps 😊 ua-cam.com/video/VyhHY-DGY4M/v-deo.html
I have mixed feelings about this video.
