I dunno if this is common knowledge, but web analytics like Google Analytics are _extremely_ good at analyzing any info you give (like past searches and purchases) and then predicting the search results you'd be most interested in. It can also analyze your UA-cam videos and searches (since YT is owned by Google). Soo if you talk about products in your video titles and descriptions it'll probably show up in your Google searches. Not surprising that most of the results were some of Manny's faves.
Also, I wonder if Google Analytics stops working if you're in incognito mode. I get different results in the regular browser and in incognito, but maybe Google still knows your general location or something like that... Spooky.
consecotaleo it’s supposed to not track in incognito which is why prices are different in it but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I still dont know why people hate on codes like how can someone be like "no im gonna pay the full price i dont want a discount" and the fact your helping someoneout is just a plus
I think what upsets people is that there are influencers out there that may only have codes because they make money from it and not necessarily because they actually use/enjoy the product and want to help others afford that product. So they may be promoting a bad product simply to make money, and that's pretty much just scamming people into buying something to benefit themselves.

Jillian Day but it’s still up to the buyer to do their research on the product before they purchase it. They don’t have to buy everything an influencer mentions and most codes are for the whole brand not jus tone product, I’m sure everyone can find at least one product from every brand an Influencer promotes that they’ll love
Ally Amasino no doubt it is up to the buyer to do their research on products. However, viewers look to influencers and their opinions because they know so much about makeup and what makes a good product. Especially people who may be new to makeup who don't know much. I totally agree that additional research should be done on products and brands by the buyer but ultimately, no everyone does that. I have no problem with influencers having codes to help support brands that they believe in.
Jillian Day I totally agree, but then again if there’s an influencer that’s your go to for reviews and honesty chances are you trust them because they’re your tried and true so chances are their reviews are honest. And at the end of the day if the buyer doesn’t like the product it’s not always the influencers fault. Everything works different for everyone but I agree with you 100% that influencers are relied on heavily for their reviews

Hi Manny MUA! I challenge you to do the A-Z makeup challenge. Basically what you do is you go through your makeup routine picking products from brands A-Z. For example you use a primer from Anastasia Beverly Hills and the foundation from BH cosmetics and so on. The idea of the challenge is so that one can experience different makeup products from their favorite brands and discover new ones too. I hope you take on this challenge and I love you so much!! xx

Sophia Haque yes! The way Nikki did it was just weird and confusing. Like, I love the idea of being inspired by a photo or artwork but it's hard to find inspiration in a random picture that pops up in Google images lol. I guess that's the point of a challenge though.
Sophia Haque I think the way Nikki did the video was brilliant because although its wierd to make an eyeshadow look with some random picture I think it puts your makeup skills to the test and let's your creative juices flowing if that makes sense lol
ALIZAYY yes I totally agree! It was a super creative video and definitely takes talent. Especially when you see some youtubers get pretty bogus pictures to work with. I just meant that this is where I thought Nikki was going with it when I read her title and thought the way manny did it was also cool!

The first things that popped up for me were all drugstore cheap brands. Google personalizes searches based on previous search history. And also by listening to your whole life!!!

OMG, I am laughing my butt off!! I decided to do this challenge, looked so fun. I got ready, typed in primer and the first thing that popped up for this 53 year old librarian, was 3M Paint Primer!!! Like the actual stuff you put on walls that are dried and cracked and old and falling apart.... For palettes?? I came up with wood palettes Home Depot uses to store things. Foundation?? The stuff houses are built on. Google thinks I am an old house in desperate need of repairs!!!
