I’ve watched an endless amount of videos presenting guitar processors, both plugs and hardware. I keep concluding the primary factor is the player himself, as Greg Koch here, who can advertise almost any setup and make it sound great. However, iRig and others such as Helix, Boss GT-1000, etc, etc. seem to keep improving with Amp sims, confirming that digital modeling is here to stay. Also, a simple EQ playing through a DAW of choice can further sculpt any tone. I have IK Modo Bass...their products are good. Thanks for the video.
LOL! I am a big fan of Greg's and have met him and have seen him play several times, but his son Dylan impresses the hell out of me and I am a guitar player. He raised that young man right. And yes, the iRig is pretty nice!
Well here they did a lot better job on the sound recording compared to the Verenon Reid Demo ... not much demoing though really in either video since I doubt Greg Koch would sound bad even using one of those bundled beginner set amps ...
WOOHOOO! This is what I have been needing for my Ampliube MAX bundle, which I looooooooooooove(currently in the recording process of my latest single using Amplitube for all guitar & bass tones).
Good Grief man! This is some of the finest playing I have ever heard. Forget that it was supposed to be a product demo!!! The pocket on this song ... the Hammond sang to me ... Greg, just STOP IT man! My face went numb and I couldn't fix the stupid expression i was making. Yeeesh!
Very exciting about how this could up my indie/acoustic music, and my free weekly podcasts, and for teaching recording in the classroom. Placed my order today and will post a review video.
Digital Hammond, digital drums and a digital simulation of an amp and pedals. Now close your eyes and tell me how it sounds. Can you dig it? Welcome to the XXI
i didn't see a rotary speaker pedal on the ipad. where's that sound coming from? Greg is the kind of player who could plug into a watermelon and still sound the king of gristle....but this does sound good and the irig floor controller thing is a cool addition to amplitude.
Well he is using a 65 Super Reverb in the iRig which would have its own vibrato. I think that's what he was using at the beginning of the song. I don't know if you're meaning that or the Hammond organ like Cabby Cabby said.
Yes you can go to a powered speaker (but not a regular guitar speaker cabinet without an amp) via the 1/4" balanced outputs. More at www.irigstompio.com
@@ikmultimedia thanks, another question, Is there a delay between when you change patches? and How do you connect it to the new generations of ipads that have a usb C port? thanks
iRig Stomp I/O is not compatible with iPad 2. You would need a more current iPad. You can find the full specs here: www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigstompio/index.php?pp=irigstompio-specs
Mitch Arney Yup... that seems to be the case with active pups. My experience is they have to be set fairly close to get in that sweet spot to sound good. It’s like that margin is really small too.
Android will have to catch up to iOS and Mac/PC in terms of realtime audio processing in order for products like iRig Stomp I/O to be useful on the platform.
Android's only issue with audio processing at this point is with latency - an issue that can be overcome with current-gen and previous-gen higher-end Android CPUs in conjunction with Android OS 7.0 or later. In other words, it's currently capable. Unfortunately, since - unlike iOS devices - the Android installed base is so fragmented between CPU types and OS versions, there probably isn't a large enough user base for such efforts. Even so, I have one hell of a tablet that's more than capable of handling the tasks of such a project, and it sucks that there's really nothing out there to take advantage of it. While I'm normally okay using my laptop, I'd love to use my tablet in something like the iRig Stomp, and I'm not likely ever going back to an iPad.
Android is not currently fully capable but is close. We work directly with Google and Android device manufacturers so this is no slight on them but they'd agree with my first message.
Jinkies!..That sounds incredible....But, Doubt slomo's like us could get a live sound like that for bar gigs or church, without beaucoup de niro and equipment... Sorry... Jus faqz
That's iRig Stomp I/O with AmpliTube for iPad plugged into a fairly standard PA... you can indeed get live sound like this with iRig Stomp I/O and AmpliTube.
Android is not listed in the specs since Android OS is far behind MacOS, Windows, and iOS for mission-critical real-time audio processing tasks unfortunately.
Greg is the absolute hero in every demonstration!
Please tell me the make and model of the electronic drum kit

Totally agree, i think both technology (analog and modelign) will remain, but modeling will improve faster. Music has to evolutionate
@@charliemore2726 evolutionate, also known as evolve :P
Very cool iRig! And Greg and the band nail it! Dylan blows me away. He has become an amazing drummer.
This is a nice demo of the Roland drums . . . the iRig sounds pretty good, too.
LOL! I am a big fan of Greg's and have met him and have seen him play several times, but his son Dylan impresses the hell out of me and I am a guitar player. He raised that young man right. And yes, the iRig is pretty nice!
Holy buckets, this guitar-wookie blows me away every time I see him play. And this is a software rig!!
Well here they did a lot better job on the sound recording compared to the Verenon Reid Demo ... not much demoing though really in either video since I doubt Greg Koch would sound bad even using one of those bundled beginner set amps ...
Outstanding playing!
Now THAT'S a trio! Nicely done Greg and crew...iRigs all 'round fellas! Fellas!
Steven Whaley More digitally simulated savagery, right fellas! FELLAS!?
electronic simulations of everything! people this is the future and it is now.
This was so great, indeed Irig came to stay in the market, I’m buying mine now.
WOOHOOO! This is what I have been needing for my Ampliube MAX bundle, which I looooooooooooove(currently in the recording process of my latest single using Amplitube for all guitar & bass tones).
+1 just for Greg Koch, his is very personable and fun to listen to.
Channeling Albert Collins at times with the tone & vibrato. Koch is a master!

Can I use the pedal board with Amplitube 5 on my laptop. Just wondering.
Very exciting about how this could up my indie/acoustic music, and my free weekly podcasts, and for teaching recording in the classroom. Placed my order today and will post a review video.
Greg would sound the shit playing an overripe banana through a car radio.
Fantástic 🎸👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is how a perfect trio sound like...
Dios mío como toca Greg.
Perhaps the best guitarist on the planet.
yinyangthang definitely not
Great drummer!!!
Great player with the hell fire licks at his beck and call! His son's no joke either!!
Greg is such a masterful player, he could play through a string and a tin can and it would rock.. your mileage may vary...
funny, I had almost the same thought....
Dylan is one of my favorite drummers...just perfect on everything I've heard recently....
Digital Hammond, digital drums and a digital simulation of an amp and pedals. Now close your eyes and tell me how it sounds. Can you dig it? Welcome to the XXI
The ideas just flow out of Greg like droplets from a fountain.
Cool and his son is awesome on drums :)
Took me a while to realize the bass was coming from that organ
These dudes are impressive.
The audio from the iPad is goning to a mix control o directly to a bafle ?
The audio from iRig Stomp I/O's balanced outputs is going straight to the board and that's what you are hearing.
i didn't see a rotary speaker pedal on the ipad. where's that sound coming from? Greg is the kind of player who could plug into a watermelon and still sound the king of gristle....but this does sound good and the irig floor controller thing is a cool addition to amplitude.
You mean the guy playing the Hammond organ?...
yup. im stupid. totally missed that. lol. nice shout. sorry about that.
Well he is using a 65 Super Reverb in the iRig which would have its own vibrato. I think that's what he was using at the beginning of the song. I don't know if you're meaning that or the Hammond organ like Cabby Cabby said.
Could this run into a powered speaker cabinet?
Yes you can go to a powered speaker (but not a regular guitar speaker cabinet without an amp) via the 1/4" balanced outputs. More at www.irigstompio.com
Would a Powered PA allow the speaker sims to sound better, then say a guitar amp plugged into a cab?
Can you, please, confirm that it's not compatible with iPhone 7 plus?
www.ikmultimedia.com/mobile/products/irigstompio/index.php?pp=irigstompio-specs
Greg Koch would sound good playing the strings on a well-worn loafer!
The master.
Hello great sound! are you only on the PA system?
This is a direct feed out from the board.
@@ikmultimedia thanks, another question, Is there a delay between when you change patches? and How do you connect it to the new generations of ipads that have a usb C port? thanks
@@ikmultimedia thanks for answering. In case you have the ipad with a usb type C port, how is it connected to the irg i/o stomp?
Very good iRig Stomp I/0 2018 guitar 🎸 iOS product ! I like you 👍
OTP. Off The Planet. Master at work. GK.
whetever analog or digital, this all about feel of the player...
Good grief! These guys are slamming!
RJ_Connor Indeed
Ipad 2 (2012) compatibility please? What is the minimum version of ios this runs on please? Thanks
iRig Stomp I/O is not compatible with iPad 2. You would need a more current iPad. You can find the full specs here: www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigstompio/index.php?pp=irigstompio-specs
ipad air 1 is compatible?
"Its rockin' like a warrior of the night!" Haha! Greg is really funny!
Yeaaaaa Greg koch is a master!
Really love the way Dylan grooves on this.
I have the original Stomp IO
That's the highest I've ever seen a neck pickup set??
Mitch Arney
Yup... that seems to be the case with active pups. My experience is they have to be set fairly close to get in that sweet spot to sound good. It’s like that margin is really small too.
Mitch Arney if I’m not mistaken Greg has a set of Fishman pickups on his tele.
He has. His very own Fishman Fluence. But yeah that neck pickup is touching the strings almost.
Wow!
Holy mansquatch! Tiny Telecasters, tiny drum kits and groving organ bass! This sounds so good it's time for some tater tots.
and everyone of them digital simulations that are impossible to tell apart in a double blind test!
Tele just looks small. Greg is 6ft 4or5 in
Awesome job by all 3. Dang, very talented. Could we get Joe Bonamassa to sit in also? lol! Holy cow, great musicians.
I love Greg's sounds here...sounds so better than some of the rigs he uses (besides the Koch amp, which sounds good)
