I remember Angus being interviewed by some guy and he asked “ people think you are the best guitar player in the world, do you think it’s true?” Angus replied “ I’m not even the best guitar player in my family!” 😂
Definitely love both. Bon Scott was my favorite. However, Brian Johnson did a great job of not only stepping into those shoes, but keeping the band going.
It’s crazy that Angus was only 18 when they started 1973 and he started to play when he was 5 and he have the school uniform cause his sister thought he look cute in it and in the start he Wore his own and saw the name on his sister’s sewing machine anyway love the reaction
In the late 70's they often started with Riff Raff. One of my faves and crowds always loved it. Fantastic live. You can see Bon already trying to lift the crowd right out front of stage as Angus begins with that classic riff. Best Blue Collar Band ever. Saw them three times in Sydney and once in Paris and Nymegen. Always baffled me how they became more popular elsewhere in the world after Bons death, and less popular back home in Australia as we assumed it was all over for them, despite the success of the following album. Noone liked the new guy Brian. Good vid nicely done. Its simple yet played so well. They were amazingly tight and so much power.
Apparently when Angus was young, the band would go to their house. Angus, still in his school uniform, would jump all around the house showing them what he could do. When he joined the band he kept the school uniform. He plays the guitar he does because his hands are so small. When Brian Johnson joined the band he was the tallest member, at like 5'3".
Just to clarify..................Angus Young thought his big brother, and his sister Margaret, were taking the piss when they first suggested, in the spring of 1974, that he might want to dress up as a schoolboy onstage.
Yeah man absolutely. Those guys really knew how to play together, I mean they sound incredible, just like the record, if not better! The mark of true musicianship
Angus is really one of the best. He’s indescribable. And he totally underrated. Even tho he’s considered one of the best. He’s up there with jimmy page.
Good stuff. Really liked your comments on Bon and Brian. Indeed, why can’t we love them both? Not very often has an original successful lead singer been replaced well. AC/DC had no choice and did well. That being said Bon is best! 😎
Agreed! Bon was an incredible front man. That said, without Brian we wouldn't have been blessed with the stunning Back In Black album 🙌 Nothing but greatness from these guys.

I hear little things in AC/DC songs that remind me of other prior songs all the time. Like part of Mary Jane's Last Dance in The Furor just before the guitar solo. Maybe it got stuck in the back of a mind. On purpose or not it sounds good.
Bon knew Brian prior to his death so had requested to other band members that if anything should ever happen to him that they get Brian Johnson to replace him.
