For your Lethal HP% chest with Atk% accession, you'd absolutely rework it. Remember, this strat is designed to find the perfect end-game pieces. While your chest isn't bad per se, it will not be used on a champ during a Plat reset. And that's what Shini is after.

60 accession potions is a lot when you don't do sand devil 🤣
Just roll devil 7. Fairly easy, and best basic oil per energy of all stages. You only need basic oil to find out a pieces ascension stat.

The amount of luck we need to get a top piece is insane. First you have to grind out dungeons and you need like 20 runs for 1 decent peice (even more so for the bottom row), then you have to hope you get some good rolls on substats, THEN you have to hope for a good ascension roll! And ofcourse soon any good pieces we have will be junk because of HM dungeons anyway, so you will be starting all over and the heavy Krackens will leave most of us slow grinders in the dirt. lol Its becoming hard to keep up. sooo much work.
Thats all true but you only need to do it this way if you are going for a top placement in plat. Otherwise you shouldn't really stress about it.
This is exactly why I was firmly against gear ascension when it came out. The amount of RNG involved to get a God-level piece by these new standards basically excludes everyone but the top spenders from having the best gear. Gear ascension is currently the most pay to win part of the game.
@@Crimea_River same reason i feel bad about the new dungeons. I already feel that they nerfed dungeon 20. I play not 20 as the OP said but 100 runs and you get to keep 0. Not looking for plat level gear but at least i wanna be able to beat the DT hard and not struggle so much on Hard Hydra.

Great idea. I've already kind of done the same thing only more retroactively. I've been rolling all my worn Speed boots in hopes of getting extra speed.
Yep, you can do this in reverse, roll speed ascensions on non speed boots and then rework to hope for speed boots on top of the speed ascension.
I’m nearly 8 months into the game and have used not one chaos ore. I have 55 saved up (30 of which are leggos), and thought they only changed sub-stats, not primary stats. I also thought it could be bad luck, but I’m glad I didn’t use them earlier on when I had crap gear anyways. 😮

As a free to play don't use your chaos oar on the middle pieces only use them on the top that do triple and quad rolls that way your main stat does not change only the sub stat

This has been my experience so far with gear ascension: either flat or wrong % (i.e. atk% on a def% chest...)
I think the flat stat/straight sell unlevelled are the ones to do. Of the Forge Pass gear because you can't get it other ways.
That's what I say, only use them on very rare artifacts that have bad stats to see if you can salvage it.

I go for accessories from hard to get sets. Like the ones from bazaar and other locations.
if you reroll about 90+% chance it becomes a sell. i would think this would be done immediately after you do a big farm before you cleanse, so some of the trash might roll better.

It would be nice if they let you lock certain stats then reroll it. I play another game that is like that. You lock the ones you like, then reroll the rest.
Aren’t reaction accessories the hardest gear to get and so the best target for ore?
Crit rate happens to be my lowest ever rolled sub stat after two years of playing, some how I never have enough pieces of gear with enough crit sub stats to not run crit gloves. Have multiple 3 roles in every other stat expect crit rate

You should have the option to keep your current stats when using ore and just burn the ore, silver and it counts as your chance. So many usable pieces that have taken months to get ruined trying to get something better, its an absolute horrible system.

you only need to farm sand devil 7, pretty easy. It gives best basic ool per energy of all levels, and you only need basic ool to get first ascentions.

I absolutely hate that they’ve limited it to one rework considering that I have personally found that the rework makes it worse far more often than not.
Shini is great, especially if you are into arena but not a kraken.
I have never used any chaos ore... maybe i'll give it a try.
Didn't know it changed the main Stat too. They should at least give you the option to keep the original stats.
9:38 if your looking for accuracy, it would be much better as a main stat ya? Especially with the poor subs that piece all ready has. It's also lethal, so no matter what it's an "off piece". Keep it or sell it, but don't waste an ore.

Watched his video this week and it's a great idea....buuuuut I had the same problem as you. Burned 1000 oil and didn't have a single piece ascend well. Sand Devil is about to solve itself for me because 99% of my best pieces ascended shit and I'll have no more reason to farm oil.
I would never rework a piece from the middle row, too inconsistent. I always reroll weapons, helmet or shield to get better substats as I know they can't ever change their main stat

Mythic gear: imma ruin this man's whole career
This is most powerful on CD% gloves by far - the boots and chests need to hit ascension stat, main stat and sub stats as they need to also land multi rolls into CD% substats... 80%+20% CD% gloves even rare ones with flat HP are going to be amazing.
Generally gloves/chest is a very low chance move, will almost never yield anything too many stats to hit. I ore reaction/cooldown accessories mostly and triple's on speed sets. Much higher chance of success.
No way. Odds are much, much higher that you take a pare of really good pair of % gloves and destroy them by turning them into a flat HP, DEF or ATT
My accounts not at the stage where my gear is good enough to even bother with ores… but just from a mechanic point of view I think it should role either the main stat, or the sub stats and the player chooses which they want. At the moment it’s just too much RNG
Who needs reaction accessories when you can just put Valk in all your teams. She doesn’t speed up runs, but she makes gearing other champs so much easier
I would keep that one, you have HP% to have some sustain + bonus attack 20%+ with full ascension. Nop, no chaos ore there, amazing peace.

Epic pieces are still fine for all current content and current content isn't changing, so epic pieces will still be good

It’s not even worth to do that anymore since we will soon be able to farm mythical gears.
well, we first need to know how easy we can do it and like legendary gear with good rolls will still be good, like epic gear is still good for most players now
Well first, yes it is worth doing since you for now can’t reroll mythic and secondly you can still get S tier pieces that aren’t mythic. Stop being silly
@@bobbyhill2951 You think Plarium won't introduce mythical ore? Come on. No point to do it now if in 2 months we can. Not being able to reroll main and substats separately is silly. Who still uses 5 stars pieces: early and mid-game players.
Early game, mid and f2p will still benefit mostly.

And tehat is good example why I totally inore chaos ore :)))) You need to farm all day Sand Devil just to gather for maybe one peace good assenssion stat, and then you have just one shot with chaos ore, and 85% chance all that effort is in vain :)

yeh it sounds great in theory but realistically the odds of rolling the gloves u want are so low youd use all your ore trying to just get 1 piece, still much better to use on top 3
Idk if this method is the best but I'd never use ore on top 3. The upside of using it on bottom pieces is just so much higher. I usually just save bottom 3 flat stat stone skin/lethal/protection gear and give it a reroll.

@@fishyjja yeah it's but ores are pretty rare so I use them where I can get the biggest boost. Notice when you farm gear you'll usually have many more useable/good top pieces compared to bottom. I notice this a lot with stone skin and protection gear.

@Nina Armstrong gosh Nina I just saw this.The sorting the only thing I care about, I'm feeling very disenchanted with Raid recently so additional content is meh. I couldn't be less interested in live arena cuz I don't play games for social interaction. It's hard for me to care about something cosmetic or deliberately high-end, and this delivered on both

Might just be me, but I’d for sure be keeping that last chest you reworked even though it’s flat stat. All of the other sub stats are beneficial, and the extra 20% atk from the ascension is huge
The point is to find end game plat arena gear. He threw away wonderful pieces earlier too, but they weren't good enough to replace on his S-tier Champs in Arena.
I think that is the point. You would keep it, he wouldn’t. What is considered good gear is very dependent on how progressed your account it. I would have kept half the items he sold.

The thing is, there's a lot of us that don't own Ninja so we can't farm sand devil, the amount of oils you have there is huge and not achievable for my account!

After watching this video, I now know that my original strategy is by far the best. There's no way I'm going to even try this strategy. You're going to have to Ore hundreds of pieces just to get a couple of good ones. No thanks.
A bit too much RNG going on here imo. I think you should be able to protect the main stat OR a single substat when using chaos ore. That would make it far more strategic but still retain the RNG nature. As thing stand, the chance of chaos ore giving you a good piece is extremely low. For most players it is a very rare resource, so borders on being irrelevant.

arena is such a whalefest now, i used to be able to maintain gold 4/5 as F2P, now i struggle to stay in gold 3. i have good champs/gear but now everyones got a red star pirate or wukong is craazy to deal with

They are all great stats that always come in handy on many champs... Looking to have a single i bit of gear bolster 1 stat grossly limits what gear you find useful. The only thing that matters is the overall results.

This just made me hate sand devil and chaos ore even more.
Relentless only for me for the most part. Once I win a tourney, I get put in brackets with nothing but whales for months, then rinse and repeat. Most other stuff can be farmed, and it seems to me that you can beat all pve content over time, so who cares about Plat arena anyway unless you're a whale or started 4 years ago.
Would reroll it. Acc in lethal is not what I would be looking for, so it would just be a filler piece

Yea I don't get it. Every chaos ore I've used on my Bolster gear has given me the complete opposite of the stats that I'm looking for. For some reason, all of the boots I rerolled turned into Atk% instead of HP% for DEF% or SPD, it's to the point now where i look at those ore's as a waste of 50k silver.
First use a huge bunch of energy farming oil, to spend it on absolutely worthless pieces, hoping you get something good **thrice in a row, first with the oil, second with the ore, third with the rolls.**
No thanks, I'd rather place a roulette on top of a baccarat table, laying on top of a black jack table, and I think the odds of winning there would be higher. And even then, I'd still not do it.
