I love Djokcovic but Stan has his measure on all courts bar grass. Cue the the vitriol! All you Nole fans, and I love him aswell, he is not invincible AT ANY GRAND SLAM but Nadal is at the French. No actually, Stan did not play well at all. He was visibly tired after a marathon semi-final against Murray. And overall, he had spent almost 5 hours on court more than Rafa against much tougher opposition than what Rafa had to face. Not saying that he woulda won, even if he was fully fresh. Rafa was fantastic indeed! But Stan wasn't even at 50% that day. Put 2015 RG Stan against that Rafa and you'd get a much more competitive match. No way would Rafa dominate like that against THAT Stan!

Clay court especially very good for new tennis learners because u can't beat top players just by serve and volley. U have to run and let opponents run to win points and that's why clay court is special because here Tennis will test your patience and fitness. Nadal is king of clay not because he doesn't have a big serve but he is BEAST and it doesn't matter how good u play tennis, he will force u to play your best continuously which no one could able to do not even prime Federer and that is why Nadal is GOAT because Nadal's beast mode attitude helped him to win Wimbledon, US Open and AO by beating the top players. Tennis should give Nadal, Federer and Nole a very good farewell when they retire because I don't think we are going to see any new Nadal, Federer and Nole in the near future as next-gen players are below avg in comparison with big 3!

Here are the comments for Nadal from the conductors on this video:
    Pretty emphatic.
    Wow!
    Yes.
    Agrgr.
    Yes!
    Oh, yes!
So Good for Nadal and he gets first blood.
Nadal's stamping his authority on the match.
    Brutal.
Nadal was reading him like a book.
So great shot, that backhand has been so valuable.
    Ha! Beat that!
Oh, it's just brilliant. The backhand quite magnificent. We know how good the forehand is but is
    just impenetrable.
It seems to me there are two tournaments here.
    Huh!
That shot of shots. Outrageous! And is good to see Wawrinka joining in the applause.
    It's a battering ram!
Well Wawrinka did the right thing (he lost)
    It's an army against one.
    It's THE shot.
Superlative. Nadal seems to be on his way.
    It's just relentless.
    Mercyless.
It's such a good volley, Auff! Devastating.
Augh! Well it was sidespin and backspin.
    Duh!
    Oh! That's cruel for Wawrinka.
    Oh!
The dream comes true. La Décima it is!

Rafa was in supreme form on this day.He had played in 4 tournaments and claimed victory in Monte Carlo,Barcelona and Madrid. He was fit and full of confidence heading to Roland Garros. This year I am worried about Rafa. He needs to play a lot of matches and hit a million balls to feel that he is ready to win his 11th French Open. He has been injured for most of this season and has not played much. Now if he is better physically and does not have to withdraw from any tournaments he is in good shape. When Rafa starts winning on clay especially he can go on runs and win 2/3 tournaments in a row. With Roger skipping the clay, Djokovic just lost,Murray and Wawrinka recovering from injury Rafa has an excellent chance to win RG yet again. It all depends on his fitness. If he stays healthy throughout the European clay court swing I like his chances a lot in Paris. If he is starting and stopping due to his knee, hip, back expect maybe a surprise or first time winner at RG.

Vincent Hannah I hear you man! He seemed to be in good shape in the Davis Cup. His confidence received a boost. And we know what a confident Rafa can achieve on clay! I’m a little worried about him playing 4 tournaments before the French. He should probably skip Rome and rest. I say probably because Rafa knows better than me. Waiting for Monte Carlo to begin! Return of the Emperor!

Many tennis players today are unfortunate in the fact they play in the same era as the big 3, stan in particular. If stan had played in any other era he would have 6-8 grand slams in my opinion. Rafa on clay is like no other tennis player on any other surface.

Yeah, just like Nadal ran away so many times from Federer on HC and grass.
Nadal will never beat Federer again cause Fed won't play on clay anymore.
Therefore the H2H gap will close with every match they play.

    • @lokenathosmo
      @lokenathosmo 6 років тому +5

Rafa the cheat was lucky that he enjoyed a matchup advantage against Fed for more than a decade. Otherwise he would be like 5-33 and nor 23-15 against him. Federer showed everyone what would have happened if the spinning forehand to his backhand would be neutralized. Both Federer and Djokovic are light years ahead of Rafa as tennis champions. They are real tennis players. Rafa is just good at abusing the system and rules.

stan's problem was that he was just hitting to the open court, and not making rafa guess. It was basically really easy for rafa to get around stan's offense, and turn it into rafa's offense, and take the points over. a lot of it was also stan's shots that were supposed to go behind rafa were not very good shots. He might have been trying to be safe the entire time, but it feels like he could have created a better weapon against rafa's running side to side if he figured out how to hit behind rafa who was running full sprint to the other side of the court. that's what roger does.
