(My notes) Apostle Arome Osayi’s sermon The Word of Righteousness (Part 2): 1. Introduction: The Critical Season for the Church Apostle Arome begins by addressing the critical times in which the Church finds itself. He highlights the importance of preparing the body of Christ for the current season and the age to come. This is a call for the Church to understand the times and to embark on a journey into the Word of Righteousness. He encourages listeners to share the message with others, emphasising the importance of the Word of Righteousness in this season. 2. Revisiting the Word of Righteousness The sermon revisits the key scripture in Hebrews 5:12-14, where the apostle outlines the distinction between believers who feed on milk (the basic principles) and those who consume strong meat (the Word of Righteousness). Milk refers to the elementary principles of the Christian faith, suitable for babes in Christ. These foundational doctrines were covered in the previous message. Strong meat represents the Word of Righteousness, meant for mature believers who have exercised their spiritual senses to discern good and evil. The Word of Righteousness is described as the "strong food" that nurtures the growth and development of believers into spiritual maturity. It allows believers to understand God’s Kingdom and His governmental dealings with His people. 3. The Concept of Accountability Apostle Arome highlights the accountability structure that God has set in place for believers. This accountability will not be measured by earthly standards but will be evaluated in the age to come by God Himself. He refers to Acts 17:29-31, where Paul teaches that God will judge the world in righteousness through Jesus Christ. This judgment is the foundation of the Word of Righteousness, as it reveals God’s governmental dealings with mankind. Accountability is a critical concept that many ignore, but it is central to understanding the righteousness that God requires. 4. Everything Created for God’s Purpose To emphasise accountability, Apostle Arome refers to Colossians 1:16-17 and 2 Timothy 1:9, which teach that all things were created by God and for God. He stresses that the purpose of our lives and the gifts, resources, and grace given to us are all aligned with God’s divine plan. Everything that exists-whether visible or invisible-was created for God’s purpose. Therefore, the life of every believer must be aligned with His will. He explains that we are saved according to God’s purpose, not our own ideas, and that grace was given with a specific purpose in view. This means that our actions, choices, and stewardship will be judged based on whether they aligned with God’s purpose for our lives. 5. Accountability in the Age to Come Apostle Arome emphasises that the accountability of believers will occur beyond time-in the age to come. Hebrews 9:27 reminds us that judgment follows death. The next major item on God’s agenda is the final judgment, where the quality of our lives will be evaluated. He stresses that success in time does not guarantee success in eternity. Many people mistakenly live for earthly success without considering how their actions will be judged in the eternal realm. Using both Old and New Testament examples, he explains that accountability is a theme deeply embedded in scripture, and that all believers will face judgment, regardless of their awareness of this fact. 6. Accountability in Ministry A key concern raised is the lack of accountability within the ministry itself. Apostle Arome points out that many ministers and believers operate without a sense of responsibility to God’s purpose, leading to all sorts of displays and unbiblical practices. He calls for discipline and reverence for God, reminding the Church that we are part of a Kingdom that "cannot be moved" (Hebrews 12:28-29). God’s standards will not be lowered, regardless of how appealing or powerful a preacher may be. Every believer and minister will be judged according to their faithfulness to the purpose for which they were called. 7. The Parable of the Minas (Luke 19) The parable of the minas in Luke 19:12-26 is used to illustrate the principle of accountability. In the parable, a nobleman gives each of his servants a mina and commands them to "occupy till I come." Upon his return, the nobleman demands an account of what each servant did with their resources. This parable serves as a warning that God will ask us to give an account of how we used the gifts and opportunities He gave us. The message stresses that it is not enough to possess gifts; we are required to steward them in alignment with God’s purpose. 8. Rejection of God’s Government In the same parable, some of the nobleman’s citizens reject his authority, saying, "We will not have this man to reign over us." Apostle Arome explains that rejecting God’s government is equivalent to rejecting accountability. Many live their lives without recognising that they are accountable to God, and they try to escape any interference that reminds them of this truth. However, the day of accountability cannot be postponed or avoided, and all will have to stand before God’s throne of judgment. 9. Final Reflections Apostle Arome concludes by urging believers to reflect on their lives and ministries in light of God’s purpose. Every action must be weighed against God’s eternal plan, not worldly standards of success. He emphasises the need to receive the discipline of the Father and submit to His government, which will guide us into accurate alignment with His will. The sermon ends with a call to prepare for the age to come, where the Word of Righteousness will be fully realised through the judgment of our lives.
@@EseFranvids But there's an emphasis on the "oracle's of God" because since judgement must start from the House of God, it's demanded that caretakers and keepers of said House must be scrutinized with the light of the FATHER OF LIGHT
Thank you, Apostle. Your voice is indeed that voice. That voice - a necessary instrument of God to me, the Body of Jesus Christ, and our generation at large. Our God will preserve your heart, your voice, and the message you carry.
Heavenly Father give me your strength being a single mother is one of the most difficult job in the world. Not only do I have to raise my children on my own, but I also have to make all of the decisions for my sons and both have special needs. Please help me to be more patient with myself and with my kids. Lord I will lean on you to renew my soul each and every day. Lord I’m also struggling to support my sons. Every month is a struggle. Please help me to make wise decisions as a single mother. Guide me in all I do, and help me to always put your will first.💕
Father, please, have mercy upon us. Forgive us for every way we’ve wasted the deposit of Your grace in our lives. Help us by Your Spirit henceforth, to be prudent with Your abundance of grace and righteousness freely given into our spirits by faith in Christ Jesus. This way, we will long to show you as Your good and faithful servants on the day of reckoning, how much profit we’ve made to the Glory of Your name in the earth, just as it is in Heaven. Amen. Thank You, abba, Father! Hallelujah!
First of all I have learnt that righteousness is not only a gift, it's a system of accountability... Thank you apostle Arome Osayi... I love you my father.
Praise Jesus Christ, who is the GOD of RIGHTEOUSNESS. I appreciate opportunity Apostle Arome Osayi yielded vessel of HONOR and exquisite voice. May GOD sustain you contiually moving in deliverance of the truth for GOD people.
Keep raising the remnant for God sir, that is whàt you are called to be and to do. You are to impart spirit of alignment to people for the coming of spirit of holiness. You are strategic when you hear the voice of God ❤❤❤❤.
More than ever before, my eyes are being enlightened to the reality of the parables of Jesus Christ and its direct implications on our work and walk of faith. Apostle, thank you Sir for bringing these truth and shedding light upon these words to shine in my (our) heart(s). In your light, indeed, we see light. God bless you Apostle and keep you ever strong in Jesus Name. Amen
Thank you very much for this teaching. I have a question which I hope is answered for clarity. Just like the talents, this “purpose” or gift which each of us must be accountable for, is it something we were born with or what we become entrusted with after giving our lives to Christ just like we see in services where Apostle will say God is giving/baptizing someone with one gift or another? Thank you
I think it's both salvation and any gift after that considering salvation is a gift as well. All gifts given would be accounted for. To whom much is given much is expected.
Please, you don't need to download, except you are a UA-cam premium subscriber. Re-watch as many times as you need to so that income will go to the apostle. Thank you.
