Zero, in the end he found True Love. it wasnt Iris. Iris was close though. close to his arms. but sadly due to the war she died in them arms of his. but Ciel. Ciel Faught with him tryed to save him. he even saved her knowing he cant loose another girl again in his life. he was in love the moment he set his eyes on her. to realize what he was fighting for. for the people he believed in him. it wasnt about taking Sides, War, or Factions. it was People. People who He and He Alone Cared for. his Friends and Family, People who are Closed to His Heart. People who he keeps on waking up everyday of His life to give a Damn for. people who make him feel more....Human....but not just that. Hell, I finished hard mode in megaman zero 4. Why wouldn't I cry in the ending? You're paragraph made it worse. Not that it's a bad thing, it's really compelling.
If they'll ever remake the Zero series, I wish they'll give us an alternate, non canon ending for having an A or S rank (instead of the Ex-skills) in which Zero survives.

Technically, she knew Zero didn't make it through the explosion. So, in technicality, she, sort of, saw him die in front of her.
For me it's quite ridiculus that Ciel is that young as for such smart character, looks like one who was creating her watched too many videos about super smart kids...
Anyways i don't mind this love story between her and Zero, agewise Zero old, but for machines age isn't such a strong indicator of how mature character is, but he felt in Zero series a lot like himself post X4, when he got much more serious after Iris died. Actuall its a bit of a shame as his quite douch personality from X1-3 was much more entertaining.

Zero is one of my favorite Megaman Characters of all time Keiji Inafune knew what he wanted in a character for Zero. He didn't want your average everyday Hero or your once a week villian or hell's even a typically anti-hero the only reason he saves the world is because of his family and friends if he didn't have though in his life he be the very thing Dr.Wily wanted a killing machine with no emotion like in the Megaman Battle Network Series, but thanks to people like X and Ciel he had a reason to fight. Nobody knows the kind of pain Zero goes through everyday in X1-X3 Zero act like that cool friend/older brother who helps you out in the nick of time, X4-X5 Zero grew fear about his past and his future as he continue to have nightmares about being created by Dr.Wily and killed all those reploids in X4 he lost the love of his life Iris even though he didn't cry in that cutscene with Iris dead body I could sense he was crying because he really truly care for someone in X5 Zero was questioning when he gets infected by the Sigma Virus he get stronger instead of turning maverick. He learns that the world will be at peace if he stay dead and X continue to live on to keep the peace like Dr.Light wanted for him, X8 After his fight with Lumina and hearing that Sigma won't be coming back he was happy because he no longer have to fight into the elf war. The Zero series made Zero go through the process of regaining his memory of the maverick war and the process found someone else he truly loves... Ciel. Zero had feelings for Ciel the moment she found him in the abandon laboratory instead of going with her, he ask what would she do to him if he's not the real Zero, through out he's been protecting her, giving her hope, and building a better world for her and X. In the mean time had to deal with shocking moments like finding out that his body was a fake and Omega was in his real body and losing his dearest friend Mega Man X, after the battle with Omega, Zero question if he's even the Real Zero, but thanks to Ciel he finally accepted the fact he is the real one true Zero and finally figure out what was he fighting for.
He wasn't fighting for himself. He was fighting for the people around him Iris, Colonel, Alia, Axl, Signas, Layer, Mega Man X, Ciel these were the people that continue to help him fight. X and Ciel were the people who he literally gave his life for... I know Zero wanted to amend his feelings to Ciel, but do to the situation with Dr. Weil and fear death was breathing over him, he decided to stop the colony for her to give her a better future for her and the resistance. The evidence is in the ZX series, it wasn't a deserted wasteland with an area of hope that was also the greatest and terrifying event in the X series (Area Zero) and a city corrupted by power (Neo Arcadia) it was the earth before the Zero series and it was also a world that X was fighting for a world where humans and reploids co-exist as one it made of tooking 400 years to achieve, but all the consent battles with Wily, Sigma, Copy X, and Dr. Weil was worth it for a peaceful world where nobody question when a maverick will attack, but a world they can call... Home.
Thank you Keiji Inafune you created a real hero of the Mega Man franchise I'm sorry Capcom screw Zero over in X6, but that never stop Zero from being a hero that doesn't fight because he have too, but because he want too.

No official source, but Zero treated Ciel in a special kind way since MMZ3, and specially in MMZ4, what could mean he corresponded her feelings.

As Zero is a reploid, I think he is able to grow psychologically with time. We also shouldn't forget that Ciel is a genetically modified child, so she is probably way more mature than a normal child of her age (mature enough to be the leader of a revolutionary army). Thus I don't think it really matters if Zero is 200+ while Ciel is at least 15 in the last game.

It's really more of a copy of his personality and some of his abilities. I haven't played ZX, so some of this may be wrong, but to my knowledge it has none of his memories or experiences.
Er... Model Z is Zero. The main models were created by the Guardians as a defense against Model W- the Metals are made up of a "Hero's soul"- so that kinda means that, again, Model Z is Zero- his soul... at least. (And it isn't confirmed if Model Z dies at the end of ZXA- considering the other four survived the crash of Ouroboros... we can only hope for the best for poor 'ol Zero!)

In the Resistance Base there is Old Andrew a Reploid who was married to a Human Woman the Woman grew older but Andrew didn't his Wife started to hate her own looks so Andrew got himself modified to look older so relationships between Humans and Reploids exist also Reploids are Robots who feel and think like humans some can even get tired and need to sleep like a human so a relationship between Zero and Ciel would have been possible.

I never expected Zero to have a happy ending. If you played the games he is the essentially the most robotic of all the reploids. That's why when he fought Weil at the end and stated that he never said that he was a hero he just fought for what he beleived in, that was the true Zero. As an added layer, it had to end or else Capcom would had milked the substance out of the series.

She actually had. For example, you can hear she saying "nani" when you talk to her in Megaman Zero 2. But many of her voice samples were replaced by written messages, like in Megaman Zero 3, after Mother Elf saves Zero you could hear Ciel calling Zero in the japanese version, but you can read it instead, in the english version.

But if Zero did not die, then there would have been a next Zero game, which did not happen. He is no doubt dead. When the ragnarok fell, Zero was burned in the atmosphere. Maybe it's just his helmet lying there, and the figure in the end of the game might be an illusion.
No such game was mentioned by Capcom. With Keiji Inafune no longer making Megaman games, we might see another Zero game, but don't hold your breath on it. The rumor is just that, a rumor. No need to bring back a hero from the dead this time though.

Whenever i hear this song, i wish that a world just like in the megaman/zero series really exists. Just by wishing about that makes me wants to learn more physics,biology and chemistry. By doing that probably i can create something similiar that exists in their very advanced hi-tech world. For example the floating vehicle road, flying cars(we had created it anyway), the tallest building that connects earth and outer space, and many more. Am i creepy?

It sounds nice in theory, but you guys have to remember how many casualties there are in the Mega Man universe.
From X1-X8, millions probably died. And in Zero 3 we learn that the Elf Wars caused 60% of humans and 80% of Reploids to perish. Not to mention that Neo Arcadia (and later Area Zero) are literally the only places left on Earth hospitable to human and plant life. That sounds horrible.
But at least there'll be cool sentient robots lol (many of which will probably end up like Vile or Craft and end up committing war crimes).

After fightining all his life for those he believed in he died with never getting his "happy ending". his creator was mad scientist who wanted to rule the world, his purpose was to be god of destruction, he had to kill Iris and finally he died without telling Ciel that he loved her neither he heard that Ciel loved him... great ending for zero's story tho he should have deserved a happy ending :/
Spoiler alert back in Mega Man 11, Wily just want to put double gear on robot masters in attempt to make them heroes by breaking their limits and he would've done well into infinite gear systems if Light hadn't said that to him back in college. Wily is full of ironies and so does his sons Bass & Zero. Zero is aware of Ciel's feelings for him, though. He was forced to put Iris down cuz she was too grief to listen to Zero during the Repliforce War (which implied old man Andrew used to be part of where he fell in love with a human woman). Alouette wanted to be with Zero & Ciel at Area Zero and it never happened...which implied that she loved him almost like a brother sister to Zero's father and daughter to her.

Not really, ZX's backstory deals with the aftermatch of the battle against Weil. His mind, fused with Ragnarok's fragments created the W Model, the original Biometals, and Ciel created the other Biometals from the remains of Zero, X and the 4 guardians.
Even if they're already dead, they are still lending their powers to protect the world, so I think it is a worthy sequel, and the plot of the series is good on it's own right, too.

Well in truth that is the only way to truly end a story with a character. I mean if the character lives there is always room to add more and more stories and to truth put any end to a character storyline is to have them die. I know i sounds bad but in the end that is who to truly stop there story. but even then sometimes that doesnt even stop them from contining there story. it all depends on the rules of their world.
Anyway the video rly brought a tear to my eye but but it pisses me that Zero never gets tha credit anyway,keep doing what your doing cause my MMZ music videos are low graphics/crappy but they do have emotion and meaning kinda

I would like to replace the word robotic with "stoic" or to refrain from showing deep emotions. In the X series I can't deny that he was kick ass from the begining up to X5. After that Capcom was all over the place with him. But in the Zero series he always seemed as if he was holding back thought and emotions letting everyone else say what he was versus telling them who he was. This is why when he poured out to Weil at the end of the series I knew he was freaking serious and aware of the end.

Not as far as I know. MMZ4 showed us that Ciel loved Zero (and ZX that even Alouette/Prairie (!) had a crush on him, yes, seriously) but we never saw a bulletproof evidence that Zero thinks so as well. But, to be honest, a heroic sacrifice to save her and the people of Area Zero shows at least something...

I played all the games, watched the OVA, read the manga etc... If you pay attention on X4 or the final of X5 he is not so robotic, he had feelings,You can see it when he kill Iris, he was more robotic than X, but had feelings. He dont have to be a hero to have feelings. I know what he said and was just amazing because is more valid than scream for justice... and as a fan who see him as a hero, i would love a happy ending or a less sad. Btw agree with end to do not milk out the series substance.

the zx series is passable but I would suggest that you play Advent atleast once. It was the best game that came after the Zero series that atually felt as if it worked while ZX was just trying to bring Zero and X back form the dead spiratually.
