  • I had an incredible day doing photography today. What an honor it is to capture these photos and video of this event. It was amazing and I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed being there. For photography I had the Fuji X-Pro3 with a XF16-80f4 lens on it. The lens has a 10% CineBloom filter which creates a blur on the extreme highlights and creates a bloom of light effect. All photos are 100% straight from the camera SOOC (no post edit whatsoever) using a film simulation recipe designed to mimic Kodachrome 64 slide film. The recipe comes from Fuji X Weekly website and called Kodachrome 64. 360 video done with the Insta360 X4 and slow motion video is from X-Pro3.

It was an emotional time for me in that dance circle and I fed on every bit of it. Experiencing Juneteenth gave me a new respect for the 4th of July holiday. Patriotic inclusion - that’s what I’m talking about!

The last scene is meaningful as they opened the circle to let my camera in. It was fun recording inside the circle after hovering about on top lol

I’m hoping to a follow up soon. As with many things in this atomic frontier I call home. A big player in Black American migration out of the South during Jim Crow was Hanford in the 40s and 50s.
