I was born in Los Angeles in 1959, the same year they won their third World Series. My mom and dad took me to my first MLB game at Dodger Stadium in 1963, when I was four, and that was when I got my first Dodgers hat -- and they won their 4th World Series later that same year. I graduated from college in the summer of 1981, and my dad had open heart surgery a month later, but he recovered quickly enough for the two of us to attend all three of the World Series games at Dodger Stadium that fall. We got to go see the Dodgers win it all again in 1988, despite my being in the U. S. Navy, awaiting deployment. Now I'm a USN retiree and official "old guy" at 65, but it's always seemed that every major event in my life has had something to do with Dodgers memories and their World Series appearances, whether they won or lost. And while I no longer live in L. A., I still bleed Dodger Blue when I'm cut, and still love "dem bums," as my mom used to lovingly call them. Congrats and thanks for another World Series, guys! We -- your dedicated fans! -- love you to the moon and back!!

I sure hear ya. I was born in L.A. as well, (Inglewood, 1956.) I'm still in CA but not in So. Ca. anymore. I WILL ALWAYS BE A DODGER. My parents are gone, but would they ever be thrilled to see another World Series Championship. I attended ONE Dodger game at Dodger Stadium in the early 60s. Can't remember the year, but I sure remember how struck I was at the beauty of the stadium back then. I have a Dodger vertical banner hanging here in my office, along with a USC banner. Fan for life with them too, since I was about 10 years old. GO DODGERS!
I feel like the city felt very united today and it normally doesn't feel like that. Everyone came together to celebrate not just our first actual World Series parade since 88, but our city itself too. This feels like a true win.🔵⚪️
I am from the Bay Area SF. I don't even watch the warriors parade till the end. BUT LAD KNOWS HOW TO THROW THE CHAMPIONSHIP PARADE. Everyone speeches are organicly with different personality and super entertaining. WELL DONE!

Yes, sometimes the knuckleheads come out of the woodwork and stir up trouble, but this is the City of Champions, and home to some of the most remarkable residents any city could ask for. Keep up the good work Dodgers! See you here again next year!

People can "try" to talk crap about Shohei's struggles in the Series. People need to look back over the season and see how Ohtani carried the team especially once moving into the lead off position. Ohtani was the Mule this season and it was incredible to listen on The Blowtorch!
Those Ohtani haters' comments are from the fan base of Yankees, Angels, As, Giants, Padres, Blue Jays, and Rockies. The whole troll was in the Dodgers live chat were spewing nonsense
Its sad that everyone seems to have a recency bias... Ohtani literally broke records and single-handedly stepped up and carried the Dodgers through 162 games this season while others only stepped up for 5 games...😮 everyone seems to forget already that a recovering ace pitcher and reigning MVP literally had the most Homeruns and RBIs in the NL league, broke the 40/40 club and created the 50/50 club and even almost got the triple crown by coming in 2nd place for Batt average to 1st place by 0.04... but all of this is forgotten just because he had a slump during the World Series...😮 There would be no WS without him this year.
Bro, you’re judging that we don’t appreciate him, because of what? Dodgers won the World Series as a team. This isn’t a popularity contest. Every Dodgers fan knows Ohtani is the man. Every Dodgers fan knows Ohtani was injured most of the World Series. You talk about fans forgetting what an incredible season Ohtani had, and he was great in the playoffs. How about a player that gets a lot of smack talk, because he hasn’t performed well in the postseason, yet he has arguably has had the best regular season career ever by a Dodger, and that’s none other than Clayton Kershaw. So you don’t need to hype up Ohtani anymore like he was forgotten. Just think the Dodger fans are crazy about him, even though this is his first season with the Dodgers. His Jersey is the most popular selling jersey not only in MLB, but in Dodger Stadium.
@@KaesOner Seems like you're forgetting that some of the Dodgers' most reliable players ran into problems during the regular season. Betts suffered a fractured hand, and Freeman had to leave the team to deal with his son's illness. Those players then played big during the post season. Ohtani didn't have to play one inning of defense yet he slumped during the post season. The post season is where great players shine. For now we'll have to wait until the next post season to see if this season's slump was a fluke or if he's simply a great regular season player.
I become a MLB and Dodgers fan at the beginning of 2017 season and when the Dodgers win the 2020 World Series I'm a little bit happy because it's pandemic and now I'm super happy because Dodgers become WS champion without Covid restrictions.⚾🏆 Let's go Dodgers!!!!
