🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Set hundreds of years after the events of Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker finds the hero Link in a sea scattered with 49 islands, which necessitates frequent sailing and naval combat. Link lives with his grandmother and younger sister Aryll on Outset Island, one of the few inhabited islands in the Great Sea. The people of the Great Sea pass down a legend of a prosperous kingdom with a hidden golden power. An evil man found and stole this power, using it to spread darkness until a young boy dressed in green sealed the evil with the Blade of Evil's Bane. The boy became known as the Hero of Time and passed into legend. It is clear that this legend is the story of Ocarina of Time, wherein the Hero of Time, Link, fought Ganondorf. When boys on Outset Island come of age, they are customarily dressed in green to pay reverence to the Hero of Time.

The fairies, the bow, the arrows, the sword, the hearts, and the shield are from the original game, so it is actually more like the original NES game than it looks.

Can someone explain why the hero of time didnt show up to stop ganon again?
Because when adult link fought Ganondorf and shielded him away, was sent back in time to relieve his lost childhood by princess Zelda who wanted to thank him.
This creating a new timeline. Child link from OoT continued with majoras mask and Ganondorf was stopped by the 7 sages by being sent to the Twilight zone thus leading to Twilight Princess.
Ganondorf from adult timeline remembers the hero as you see. Ganondorf from child timeline doesnt even know him, he was probably stopped before he even met child Link. He was probably arrested immediately.
The Hero of Time couldn't fullfil his destiny and stop him and you see him regretting and being beaten up about this when his spirit helps TP link.
Imagine having the memories of a future that you shaped without being able to live there.
The Hero Of Time is the most tragic figure of all links. Sad to think about him
