@Kayla Aquino-Gualderama I like to think they have rock eating contests, Link is the only participant and the other knights take bets on how many he can eat.
The most heartwarming part for me is whenever the egg guardian plays Zelda’s lullaby when she would hit rock bottom. It’s like it was programmed to do that to comfort Zelda ever since she was a little girl
NOBODY is talking about kohga’s loyalty to sooga. it’s IMMENSE. kohga bowed to zelda to save sooga’s life when normally he’d sooner abandon his men than be humble. kohga and sooga have an extremely important relationship that is a hidden gem of this game
Then that means that maybe if a broadsword is like that for king rhoam then that means..... the heaviest claymore will be MEGA ROYAL CLAYMORE.... idk sorry I am in a weird mood 😅
“Patricia: the Best Sand Seal” is killing me. I have literal tears in my eyes because you get a great tense scene and rescue, then just…Patricia. I love Nintendo.
I hear you. But later it’s revealed that King Rhoam had survived thanks to the device that was given by her daughter. Terrako had really altered the events and created 2 separate timelines.
To see link actually feel lively and to have a goofy personally rather than “hhmh” and “HYA” is literally everything I wanted. They gave him so much character. I love that he refuses to back down from a challenge even if that means eating rocks😂
I love how link is so much more outgoing in this game, so much more playful, as he never ended up having to silently bear the burden of the hero, he held the burden along with zelda, impa, and all 4 champions, which gave him room to actually have some fun, at least early on
Link never seemed like being a hero was a burden, i mean in botw he woke up and gunned it straight for ganon. I think hes pretty fine doing what he does
@@chip5416 if you read Zelda’s diary in hyrule castle in BOTW Zelda had noted that Link was often silent because he thought he had to silently bear the burden of being the Hero or something along the lines of that. Edited the present tense language I used to make it past tense

Oof mipha telling sidon they will meet again and his expression was a gut punch, out of all the champions, the pain of her death was still fresh for her people and familly even after 100 Years, dude now has to leave a timeline where she alive and well to go back to one where all thats left of her is a statue and sadness
Couldn't Sidon become younger again, and remember what's happened once he's as old as when he saved Mipha, while keeping her by his side ? The timeline thing is really confusing...
@@-randomuser-4897 think of it like DBZ time travel. He was brought to another timeline where he could change the future, but won’t change his time, lest a paradox occur
Sidon being MUCH taller than Mipha definitely makes me giggle but I love the relationship that they have. Sidon coming from the future to protect his sister honestly made me cry😭
Honwstky gender dismorphia is very common amongst fish. Grabted usually its the females that are karger but this still makes sense. I mean look at just how tall Dorephan is. Granted he and Sidon nay be so big because of dome gene only the royal family has, or a hormone they put in their food but its still is realistic all rhings considered
@ShadowDragun if you go to Zora's domain they are all roughly the same size, Sidon is only slightly taller. So I'm going with the theory that Mipha was quite young
1:33:00 I love how they introduce the Champions, the ones who come to their aid from the future, as well as anyone else revelant to the storyline, doing so with the white text and description, but they also felt the need to introduce Patricia, who is indeed, the best Sand Seal. We love Patricia.
I feel like if this was something the player did it would have felt a lot better. I liked saving the past and all but the issue is... I never felt like I was the one saving it. It kind of just felt like NPCs were doing all the work and your input didn't even matter. If I want to erase history, then *I* want to erase history, having R2D2 just BS in people who aren't even mean to exist yet just makes it feel shallow. oh and don't even get me started on the plot holes!
@@ThatUselessHuman you can't say I don't like story games purely because I'm annoyed by the glaring issues with this specific game's story. That's like telling someone that superhero films aren't for them because they didn't like Captain Marvel, it's not the category that's the problem, it's the specific issue with a specific product that falls under that category.
@@liamdalemon1525While I agree that having the player be the main person responsible might’ve added a bit more satisfaction, that’s also kind of a non-answer considering the player is basically every significant ally at once. The player doesn’t exist as an entity, so expanding who is involved doesn’t really change much from a player agency perspective. Also, the future selves being teleported back were basically essential for the story to make any kind of sense. Before that, what was changed from the original timeline? They gained the ability to teleport using the towers and that’s basically it. Without more changes, the story shifting wouldn’t make any sense. I’m also curious as to what you meant by plot hole.
I always wondered what it looked like when the champions died. And seeing the scenes of them about to die followed by being saved by their future successors made me sad when thinking that that scene is exactly what happened in BOTW except they weren’t saved and imagining their face right before death is heartbreaking.
1:24:24 I like the detail with the narration. Like it starts off with King Rhoam's voice narrating the whole story until he presumably dies in that scene and when we get to the next narration, it's Zelda's voice, signifying that she took his place as both the ruler of hyrule and the storyteller of this new timeline.
Some people take it too seriously. it's a warriors game after all, nothin but shameless fan service and overpowered characters tearing through hords of enemies that's the fun of it.
@@liammccbyrne4184 Yeah, but it could've been more than that, and it was falsely-advertised as being more than that, and that false-advertising is the main criticism that people have.
I don't think the Hyrule Warriors games are actually involved in the canon timeline anyway, this is just a fun concept to me and a lot of other people.
Although Hyrule Warriors is definitely a "What If..." game to Breath of the Wild, I'm still floored every time at how well they tell the story. Even villains they managed to give them stronger backstories and motivations. Plus, the emotions they convey with bringing the past and "future" Champions makes my heart soar. I really really loved playing this game, and I'll always love my little round egg son
Omega Force can tell a good story when they feel like it. The first Hyrule Warriors also had a surprisingly decent story, despite Cia being R34 bait at first. I only wish Fire Emblem: Warriors also had a good story too...

I feel like sooga would pack bananas and juice boxes for all of the other yiga clan members when they go to kill the hero or whatever. He’s got mom vibes.
the impa/link/zelda friendship is so good!!!!! ..and the fact that they were all separated in botw with zelda swallowed by the calamity while holding it off all by herself, link in an unconscious state in the shrine of resurrection, and impa growing old throughout those 100 years ALL ALONE not knowing if her best friends are even ALIVE and having to lead in the aftermath of a ruined kingdom....... holy shit I will never forgive nintendo for doing this to them
7:10 Link straight picks up Terrako and holds it up like he just got a fucking quest item lmaooo. He probably heard the dunnn-dun-dun-dun- duuuuuuun too lol.
This was brought up in skyward sword when link gets Zelda's sailcloth after completing the wing ceremony. After receiving it she tells him to stop goofing off and be serious for a second. So apparently it's official he really does hold items over his head when he first gets them and its not just purely a gameplay/cutscene to show off the item in question.
@@chocolatecake0110 It's comforting because Zelda succeeds and doesn't need to... Do what she does in Tears of The Kingdom. It's devastating to know that this isn't the timeline we get to play out in TOTK
@@ashes3053 Ganondorf would still exist, no? She only sealed Calamity Ganon who was just a leakage of Demon King Ganondorf as Rauru's seal was weakening. So...the devastating thing would be, no Zelda & Link 100+ years from this timeline to handle the events that would play out in an alternate ToTK. Due to them well...probably dying of old age in this one lol. The sages of AoC wouldn't have the experience in this continuity of when they saved their respective clans/tribes and helped save Hyrule, nor overcome the adversities they did in battle and personally. Granted all of Hyrule would be united at least, and Sheikah technology could still be salvaged more for 100 years and understood in depth better. Perhaps they would discover Zonai technology too by the 100 years of BoTW's start. So gives them a few years before Ganondorf wakes up. Whether or not that is enough is...another what if entirely lol. Well. Unless of course sealing calamity ganon, lets Demon King Ganondorf wake up sooner of course, then nevermind. Then we'd have an alternate ToTK, with more Hylians alive, King Rhoam alive, champions become sages as well, sheikah offer more support, etc. (most hopeful outlook of this route)
@@flavoryf566Unlikely. The calamity was prevented here, and the 100 year calamity is what weakened Drydorf's seal. In this timeline, the seal might last another 10.000 years.
1:21:00 the disappointment in links face. This part just shows how loyal he is to the king and how good of a knight he is. He wanted to put his life on the line YET AGAIN to protect the king and help him fight. But he obeyed the kings orders to flee and protect Zelda. Link is quite the man in this universe.
The great fairies after will-smith-slapping tons of guardians to pieces on their way here: “Sheesh you guys aren’t even trying!” I mean the gameplay makes this look a lot easier to get out of alive with 4 characters working together, and that’s assuming you weren’t playing as an extra character like the great fairies which would technically mean there were even more people to escort the king out. Even if they didn’t fight they’re way out they had more than enough time to run away before the guardians surrounded them. I feel nothing even if Rhoam did die bc he had his chances. More to the point if the king was going to sacrifice himself what did he need those other soldiers to stick around for, they might as well have left with Zelda and the others. Honestly characters never use they’re brains in these cutscenes.
@@bodabodapasta1500 It’s more a matter of principle when it comes to how King Rhoam would’ve died had the timelines not been split yet again. Through the lore of the game and dialogue of the characters, we know that the King truly cares for Zelda deep down. But once her mother had passed away and the calamity was upon them he became much more strict on her for what he believed to be her own sake. Think of it as the old saying “A captain always goes down with his ship.” You could tell that tradition meant a lot to the King, especially based on his words/actions alone. Even in the face of death he refused to abandon his kingdom or his people in order to make it out alive. While you could make the argument that he was doing exactly that based on the Knight saying that the King was fleeing to the back gate. You also have to take in the fact that despite the ginormous head start Rhoam had compared to Link and Zelda, they still made it to the exit before him. While this part is just headcanon, you could easily argue that Rhoam was doing everything he could to help the citizens of Hyrule evacuate from the castle, slowing his own escape down and explaining why Link and Zelda made it to the exit before him. Now moving onto where King Rhoam would actually died, his words and actions explain exactly why the Royal Guard stuck with him even in the end. His exact words to Link right before his sacrifice were, “You are the knight to Princess Zelda. I trust that you understand your duty.” Naturally, Link follows his orders and remains true to his one objective, protecting Zelda, and getting her out of the castle. The same can be said for the Royal Guard, their duty lied in serving and acting as the King’s elite soldiers. I doubt they would’ve even listened to the King to flee with Link even if he told them to, it was a matter of principle, and a matter of loyalty, and they remained true to their duties even in the face of death.
@@Minicario they weren't split. this is one of the three timelines that already exist. Link being the most op knight in the army and everyone's like "who's the knight of prophesy" surely its not this dude who's literally made every other person in our army look like fodder?

It's a feature of the species. If you look in botw for example, and look at the difference in height between the older males and the females (the king and Sidon, for example) you'll see the males can grow massively in comparison to the females, who presumably cannot.
I love how it took Zelda’s love for Link to awaken her power in both timelines. As much as she cared for Hyrule, her father and friends… her love for Link was stronger. That thought gives me heart eyes every time.
Zelda couldn't awaken her power because she was going through the motions out of a sense of duty. Having something/someone to actually fight FOR made all the difference.
What ever you think of this story, can we just agree that a Zelda story has never looked or been told better than this game? The cutscenes make me truly whish for an good Zelda series on Netflix
Imagine going back in time to aid someone that you knew died, help them, only to return to your future where they were still gone. That's the heart wrenching part with Sidon, he was able to help a version of his sister, but he still has to go back to a future without her.
At least in a way, he got to have closure this time. He got to see his sister- at least a version of her- one last time to heal his hurting heart. Or make the pain a bit more bearable at least
It would've made the game too predictable, people would've been complaining about it being a rehash of the memories, potentially the reviews could've ended up more polarized than a generally positive response and plus would many people likely want to play it again in the future if it was like that? Absolutely not because it would've been too depressing for a whole bunch of people and the fun and enjoyment they get from the game just wouldn't have been worth it to play it again.
@@Teudlanif But then there still probably wouldn't be no towers and possibly no Breath of the Wild anyway and those who have survived originally from then on might not make it this time around. This scene where the King was supposed to be dead, but humbled himself to express his love for his daughter. It just about broke me. I like to think that age of calamity is the bad ending since ganondorf seems to be smart as he chooses to release his calamity force out into the world. 1:17:30 Robbie is such a funny character in this game. Imagine you're one of the scientists working hard to potentially save your kingdom, but your boss periodically turns into Michael Jackson in the middle of the lab
It's honestly astonishing how coherent and put-together this game's narrative is. And, well, Kohga is absolutely hilarious. One thing I did notice that I find fascinating is that of the things that were changed, the blights all had some minor tweaks to their designs, mostly leaning into the coloration of their respective elements- except *Windblight,* for whom they doubled down on the ranged focus and made the fucker a floating anti-air emplacement. Which, considering it's meant to fight a fast, airborne ranged fighter, makes a ton of sense!
It's been theorized that since the Blights hadn't been active for over 100 years in Breath of the Wild that they lost most of their power and therefore their color as well. In this game we see the Blights use abilities we didn't see them using in BotW.

I find it kind of wholesome link is actually having fun and spending more time with other casually
The great fairies after will-smith-slapping tons of guardians to pieces on their way here: “Sheesh you guys aren’t even trying!”
I mean the gameplay makes this look a lot easier to get out of alive with 4 characters working together, and that’s assuming you weren’t playing as an extra character like the great fairies which would technically mean there were even more people to escort the king out.

Aight but can we talk about how baby Sidon tried to fight a LYNEL?
@Sylvia TONG find an ancient arrow
I bet he would have been able to do it
That baby has guts I'll give em that
@Sylvia TONG just get the timings down, the first one you encounter near Zora's Domain is beatable if you have weapons of decent durability.
The best thing is that the Lynel didn't even see Sidon as a threat. It was chilling until Link arrives, then it gets angry since it sees a threat to its territory.
the parallels with link awakening the master sword and zelda awakening her powers... they both wanted to protect each other. also link’s flustered expression when the egg embarrasses him in front of zelda. and the way he always instinctively grabs her hand whenever they’re danger. there are so many good moments between them, i hope there’s more in botw2. 🥺👉👈
There honestly wasn't enough in my opinion. I wanted more one on one interaction between them.
@@CyberSonic157 it wasn’t a lot but it was more than i expected

Let's be honest. We don't hate Revalli just for his ego. We hate that his skills back it up
Yeah I sorta hate how Link is supposed to be able to withstand so many things but can barely fight Revali.
@@kaydenchan7093 in all fairness link fights hordes of slow moblins and bokoblins and an occasional lynel he’s never fought someone who’s not a mindless beast and on his skill level which is why Revali gave him so much trouble he(Revali) had an actual strategy not just shooting arrows at him.
@@dwade2038 maybe because Revali is fighting in the air so that’s why he had trouble. (And yet his cockiness made him lose)
@@kaydenchan7093 He didn’t lose it was a draw if Zelda didn’t stop that fight then link would have been killed.

It's a feature of the species. If you look in botw for example, and look at the difference in height between the older males and the females (the king and Sidon, for example) you'll see the males can grow massively in comparison to the females, who presumably cannot.
I love how despite being far more serious than Kohga, Sooga speaks with a lisp.
Its very hot
@@misspiggywannabe5697 I c a n't, why would you say that with that username and icon? 🤣
I love how it took Zelda’s love for Link to awaken her power in both timelines. As much as she cared for Hyrule, her father and friends… her love for Link was stronger. That thought gives me heart eyes every time.
UGH, I know right! They're so cute, I can't stand it!
Zelda couldn't awaken her power because she was going through the motions out of a sense of duty. Having something/someone to actually fight FOR made all the difference.

Who else thought this was supposed to end badly.
@@TevinBlair I'm satisfied with this game, but I kinda wanted to see everyone die, so I'm a little disappointed too.
@@Teudlanif But then there still probably wouldn't be no towers and possibly no Breath of the Wild anyway and those who have survived originally from then on might not make it this time around. Another thing is that he might use the towers to find everyone and take them out and even if Link is put in stasis, he would have to deal a far more stronger and complete version of Ganon than in canon. Would you still be happy then?

You want to hear what I hear from terrako when I first heard it?
It's miraculous ladybug theme...
This game really makes you see just how many lives the calamity took, each domain had an entire army at its disposal. Even if it isn’t entirely canon or a different time line, we can assume the population was the same.
As far i can tell this game is actually the best case sanario compared to the actual game and even then you see the destruction with the main game actually being the more brutal outcome where alot of people were killed and it took 100 years to win
It didn't take 100 years to win, they lost. Link just came back to fight a second time. They weren't fighting for the 100 years. @@thunderlighting2006
Let’s talk about how link was so cool in this entire game

I’m sorry for your loss.
i’m really sorry :( she’s in a better place with God ❤️
I love Zelda's character development through this game. She goes from terrified and powerless to what is basically a god, ascending beyond her status of princess.
It's pretty rad, tho I will say it was better done in BotW
Yeah. Well it was to be since she is the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia
Ah yes, the Champions of the Future:
Sidon, "Winning Smile"
Yunobo, "Diamond in the Rough"
Teba, "Rito Warrior"
Riju, "Child of Lightning"
And of course, Patricia, "Best Sand Seal"!
So BOTW was basically the “bad ending” version of this
Yes
They never find the real body here either. botw will still occur
I like to think that age of calamity is the bad ending since ganondorf seems to be smart as he chooses to release his calamity force out into the world. He would probably wait to gain enough power and strike as Zelda or link is growing old. It won’t take him another 10,000 years since with the addition of the new botw 2 from E3 I think he has plenty of malice stored.
@@thetwinslayer4817 The Warriors games aren't really canon, I think they'll treat this as a what if scenario than a true prequel. And even then, the original timeline (aka BoTW's timeline still exists cause that's where Terrako, Riju, Teba, and the others came from.)
In this timeline ganondorf's corpse probably awakens much sooner and that's probably a bad thing.
It is so cathartic when you realize that you can fight Revali and defeat him and that Teba loses his respect for him
jajaja Im so with you on that
No matter which timeline, Revali will always be a jerk.
I don't think Revali lost anyone respect as a champion tbh. He definitely show his skill in his battle & cut scene. They definitely show why he and Link has such rivalry.
