I'm not married but I can totally relate. I'm on a journey of purity and celibacy. It's been hard and at times I wonder why God will have me wait this long. But all in all, I feel more strengthened and in control each time I say no to sexual temptation in whatever form. I remind myself that in addition to other valid reasons, that God may be having me wait this long cause my husband and I may have to be apart occasionally. Although, I pray that's not the case. But if it is, I'll be strengthened to resit any temptation and I believe wherever he is, God's taking him through the same process of building long lasting selfcontrol
Each time I encounter a strong feeling, and successfully resist, I look back with pride and think, did I really do that? Na me be this?😂 In such a way that when the next urge comes, I remind myself that I've done it before and I can do it again.
