Is your guitar in standard tuning? And the helix is changing your low E differently than the rest of your strings? Or does the helix just drop everything equally? Thanks how does this work on clean tones.. Halle Guns N' Roses "used to love her" one half step down
I tried it and went thru alot of intervals and didnt get the drop sounds it seems to almost harmonize the strings. Is it in the simple pitch? Are u only changing the intervals?
How does the helix hold up against the Digitech drop pedal - is the Digitech track better sound better? Work better with acoustic sounds? Or Clean sounds ?
You just made my day and helped all the negative thoughts I have toward our church vocalists who decide last minute that we need to go down a key or two which blows all my open string work. Thank you!
My understanding is the Helix is not truly polyphonic so it won't be as clean as the Digitech Drop Pedal, but was better than nothing for what I needed last weekend. if you're talking about the garbled sound when in that key, that's what I would guess is the problem. If you're changing keys while playing, I have heard of some deep settings to fix the lingering delays, but not sure where those are at. @@kmortensen
Hi Jeff, I Need a DTune. I've tried with my Helix but with the clean tone the sound Is really bad. May you help me tryind a DTune tutorial with a clean sound? Thank you so much 🙏
My only issue is when you go too low, it degrades the sound quality a lot. There’s also this weird effect that happens where it seems like one string will bounce in between to different sounds.
does the pickups matter when you are usig this helix for drop tuning thing? cuz for low drop tuning like drop A i need to get a thicker gauge and when i used it on my 24.75 scale it almost sounded like a bass guitar, not sure if this software thing can help :/ ......using a 200$ guitar :(
With my Helix Rack 3.15 this works perfectly fine with any heavy distortion setting but on clean settings i get some kind of stuttering sound as if the Helix' CPU would be at its limit, what is your experience with downpitched Clean sounds?
Merci :)
My name is jeff is baaaaack finally I missed him ty ! Anyway never used some program like that but have a whammy 5 and always had fun with drop tunings ! Nice vid keep up the good work. Ps: when Iron Maiden cover is coming bro ? :)
Yes! Most definitely. Same thing happens when playing my Variax. It looks, and is tuned, one way and sounds another. It’s a bit of a head trip. LOL The solution is to either turn up your amp (drowning out the acoustic sounds) or headphones/in ear monitors (keeping volumes sane & not irritating the neighbours. (To say nothing of family members/roommates.)
Double Drop D!!!!
You just prevented me from buying a baritone guitar--thank you! All I do is recording, so this works. I use Helix Native. Cheers.
Amazing! Glad to know I saved you some money! :)
Seems that i've been saved as well \,,/

Yes simple pitch pitch. 100% mix and just changed the interval to go down :)
I'm getting the same. 100% on mix and still getting the same as that guys that commented
Screen is blurry
can you tell me that preset specs? i want to do one like yours

so for this to work. The guitar needs to be in standard tuning correct? Because mine is in drop C but then I tone it down it sounds weird
You can use it in drop c too! But you need to check which tuning you're in when you go down. For example -2 will be Drop B -4 Drop A and so on...

have you had any luck getting rid of the garble when you change key? Im in the same both this weekend. Holy water in C. haha

the weird effect happens with the simple pitch, not with the poly capo, the quality loss its still an issue for me tho

we have the exact same setup 🤣vigier excalibur, helix, and daddario xts

Do you get any lag or delay when using the pitch shifter? Would it be usable for live gigs? For example Drop A to Drop F or E

That's awesome! Well about covers, I'm gonna probably do it again in 2021! :)
Does the Pod go have this feature
Drop D, is dropping only the E string to D, not all the strings to D tuning which is open D.
Totally agree...
I was gonna say something but ,thanks tech
hi, is there a way to transpose the whole guitar?
Nice video!
P.S. But guitar is only in the left channel. Kinda hurts to listen :)
Thanks man!!! Yeah I knoooow it's so annoying I'm working to get a nice stereo!! :D
Korn.. 3:26xD
Always haha
@@jeffpaugemusic Beautiful. xD. I really want a Helix..Be so sick to have.
does it not feel weird when you head the strings in a different pitch than the speakers ?
you play loud enough
Yes! Most definitely.

So, i'm about to buy a helix lt. I guess i can sell my pitch fork (electroharmonix) now.
Does this function comes with The fabric presets?
Yes it's one of the standard effects in the Helix lt
@@robindanneels3750 thanks man
