- Will the average global temperatures cross 1.5 degrees celsius in 2024? The United Kingdom’s Met Office has predicted that it may be the case. The Met office has predicted that El Nino may strike back at the end of 2023 which could lead to an extremely warm 2024.
Opener
The name ‘El Nino’ refers to the warming of sea surface temperatures that often peaks during December. El Nino occurs irregularly, from two years to a decade, and can disrupt normal weather patterns globally. In the past, the El Nino weather phenomenon has been known to bring long droughts all over the world. 2016 was the hottest year since the recordings have begun and El Niño was the major reason behind the sudden rise in temperature.
El Niño has a cooler counterpart in form of La Niña. In the last three years, La Niña was the dominant climate phenomenon. La Niña events are characterized by cooler-than-average waters in the equatorial tropical Pacific and tend to put a lid on global temperatures. In 2022, a rare "triple dip" La Niña kept temperatures in check, but the year still ranked fifth-warmest (according to NASA and the Copernicus Climate Change Service).
While 2023 is predicted to be hotter than 2022, it may not succeed 2016 as the hottest year on record (UK Met Office). But, there could be a new temperature record in 2024. This is because, the El Niño climate phenomenon occurs during the winter season of the northern hemisphere and it takes a few months for heating effects to be felt, as per the report.
Countries and continents witnessed a battery of extreme weather-related events in 2022. While US and Europe witnessed blistering heatwaves, there were devastating floods in Nigeria and Pakistan.
Professor Adam Scaife, the head of the long-range prediction at the UK Met Office said in an official statement, “We know that under climate change, the impacts of El Nino events are going to get stronger, and you have to add that to the effects of climate change itself, which is growing all the time…You put those two things together, and we are likely to see unprecedented heatwaves during the next El Nino.”
Accurate prediction. It's happening,,🥵
BRO IT'S FREEZING IN AUSTRALIA
@@Iq1utted In india it's more than 40°C🔥🔥
will 2025 be more hotter??
It's high time for governments to give climate a priority. They should only make sustainable development plans. It's high time for us to rally for proper initiatives and execution of science-based climate action plan for the whole nation.(Especially for eastern India as these are the worst hit states of India)
More the opposite. The money should go to the people, not corruption. Btw we just benifit from the global warming, the energy crises would have been much worse without it.
Just stop using your car, warm your house, and stop consuming. Then your Co2 emissions will fall steadily without any government interference.
@@heww3960 What about the drought and the fact that wind speeds are being reduced?
Trite
Nice essay to quote... Thanks
2023 officially became the warmest year on record
The American Southwest needs El Niño. Bring it on. La Niña is killing us.
Good let's have el nino this means more rain for East Africa
Yes hold onto anything you can & as tight as you can.
hahaha, who listens to these fake "science" alarmists? Greta Thunberg, maybe.
Tgis is real guyz.. summer became hottest nowadays 😭
Thanks a lot... For this type Information.
Doesnt el nino only last like a year? So if this is the case shoildnt it be over
Also I hate this keyboard
So real. 🙃
Thanks DTE
Government should reduce the industrialisation and other important measures
Your corect Highest Feel like tempueture: Brunei at 44 C° feel like
What about rainfall in India 2024?
i rather el nino because la nina make undirectly drought in Türkiye while el nino bring dense clouds
How much rise in temperature is expected ?!
Maybe about 80s to the 90s, idk I am not a weather expert but am aware of the temps in California sense it was in a big drought.
I don't need to watch this video. The answer is YES! Absolutely yes! And it's only going to get worse, much worse, from there.
How so?
Please say this will make winter hotter we’re freezing already
It could actually make winter weather more extreme.
Indonesia will appreace a long dry seasons?☠
Please explain in hindi also
Good piece of information. 'A stitch on time saves nine'
Human are crossed the nature limit for there intrest and uncontrolled consumer which are non degradable 🖐️
Yes .. like every year is the hottest .

No... Chemtrails will
So does that means when it is getting hot, well Zombie Apocalypse starts too?

Worrying
... only if you ask the BoM
I think it's highly unlikely, even with an El Nino. The reason is that the absorption bands for CO2 have pretty much been taken up by water vapour. There's almost no warming left to be had by CO2. The current warming of the troposphere is downward, with the present temperature actually lower than it was 40 years ago. By 2035 (due to a negative AMO and Solar Cycle 26) we will be looking desperately to stay warm!
Wow!
Its not la niniya… its la nina 😂😂😂
No, his pronunciation is correct. “Ñ” is pronounced as “nyuh (Spanish).

The short answer is that we cannot deal with them unless we take care of nature's inner balance.
We live in a tightly-closed and interdependent system in which everything boomerangs back to us. While living in such a system, we need to reconsider what we want and think, and how we treat each other, because our human connections are the primary influence on how nature responds to us.
It is common to think that climate is dependent on factors outside of us-whether it be balances between heat and cold in the environment, or the effects of various kinds of pollution we emit-because we lack a complete picture of how our attitudes to each other bring about the strongest responses from nature toward us.
No creature distorts nature the way that we people do. And it is not simply a matter of switching to renewable energy sources, electric cars and the like; it is a matter of how we relate to each other.
If we truly wish to witness more balance throughout nature and not have to deal with all kinds of cold waves and other natural disasters, then similarly to how we have electricity, water and gas meters in our homes, we should also have meters that count how much evil we emit into the world from our negative attitudes to each other. What I mean is that if we could feel the extent to which we emit negative forces into the world, which negatively ricochet back to us, then we would wish to change this negative driver within us. We would want to switch it to a drive that makes our human connections positive, and which harmonizes us with nature.
In simple terms, when we get up in the morning, we should first and foremost consider what we need to do in order for all people to have it good. Developing such an attitude is not so simple, yet we will need to seriously work on it as we head into the future. A life of increasing blows from nature or a life of peace and harmony depends on the extent to which we impact a shift in our attitudes to each other-from negative to positive.
