I have met Darren a couple of times in Napa and had some great conversations. As you can tell from the clips, he's a super-nice, regular guy. For being so talented - actor, singer, songwriter, plays piano, guitar and violin, and speaks French and Italian - he's very down-to-Earth. Glad he's got a hit on Broadway.

I somewhat understand your frustration, but instead of worrying about that, you can praise Marcus Choi or Helen J Shen, an Asian actor making their Broadway debut. Or be excited about the rest of the AAPI swings/understudies who get to debut as well. Darren Criss isn't just there for no reason, he's putting in the work to advertise the show himself because he knows a level of celebrity is what it takes to keep a show open on Broadway, and as long as the show is open, Asian actors are benefitting. Don't dwell on the "negatives", not for something so benign.
