I own a 2014 XTS Luxury Cadillac. I've owned it for almost 5 yrs. (A few more payments and it's all mine!) Anyway, I have never seen what's under all the plastic and leather panels and under the plastic shell that covers the engine. Your videos are informative and give me the confidence to fix the small issues that are needing some attention without feeling so intimidated.

Hello Daniel, what you explained at minute 5:11 is the key to successfully mounting the door... I also have the scratches on my tint. I never knew what they were from. Ironically, I did remove the door panel and bought a new old stock one on eBay because the carbon fiber piece was delaminating and it kept cutting me when I was getting in and out of the car.
Hey this is totally off the beaten path, But my CT5 just came in April this year.I ordered it last October but anyway when my warranty expires I would love to get the flat bottom steering wheel ,man am in love with this thing
Dealer would unlikely give you crap for a steering wheel swap :)

My scratches haven't gotten worse, but I have them on all windows near the front of each.

Aw man, sorry guys. I was alerted the screen went black at 3:04. Not sure what happened. If you pause on the video you can take a close look at the yellow and blue/green clips on the door panel.
I love your caddy videos man! I'm 21 and I got the 14 so its all I got lol. its messing up my savings plan a little due to a broken fuel pressure sesnor but im ok with it. Anyways could you do more maintenance videos so I can keep her running

Hello, I've got a question, have you seen the led door handles? I'm looking to install them but I'm wondering if you know how to install them or any videos out there installing them? I have a Cadillac CTS 2018. Thanks
It is basically too big of a job. It's possible, but you would have to run all new wiring since a car doesn't have wiring or harness in place to add it in. Would be a completely custom job.

As I've said before, great videos, great production. Glad you're still doing V Sport vids since you got that Porsche. I've got the scratches on the rear windows of my '14 V Sport Premium, but as she is getting a little long in the tooth I bought a Chevy Bolt as a commuter, so now I'm considering a '24 Blazer EV SS, but that's another story! My current issue is with my rear window sun screen. Automatic rarely works any more and I have to hold the button to raise and lower it. I don't like putting off vehicle repairs and bought a new shade. I just couldn't figure out how to install it. I took out the trunk lining to get to the 3 nuts that hold it in but it wouldn't budge. Can you shed any light on this or even possibly do a video on it?? HELP!!!! Thanks!
Did it come with a new motor? Repair manual says a screw and endcap on each side holding it on and you need to remove the trim panel that has 7 trim fasteners.
I would suspect the switch more than anything but it would need to be tested

Sounds like a wire is shorting due to moisture. Take apart that door see where water intrusion is. Check to make sure all wires have no cracks in the insulation. Make sure the modules. The wires go into and the connectors aren’t taking in water. You can buy electrical contact cleaner from the auto parts store to spray on connection points and displace moisture.
However it could just be a faulty door lock switch or solenoid. Maybe even the door handle button which is exposed to rain.
@@JetFuelOnly the problem is gone after few hours , it's most likely to be a naked wire or a not insolated lock system component
I will look further into that and hopefully i will fix and i will share my fix with you

My upper door panel trim has fallen off and I can't find a replacement. Please help!! It's only the leather part near the window. Drivers side door. I can only find the entire door when I only need the top which appears to just attach into the panel
I’m sorry that’s the way the door panels come they cannot be separated because they’re generally glued together. You may want to just try to find a junkyard panel and see if you can separate the parts and reglue.

Any idea if the door panel needs removed to take off the triangle plastic trim piece behind the mirror? I have to replace the passenger side mirror assembly tomorrow.
I might be wrong but pretty sure there isn’t enough clearance to get it out. Might be harder to get it back in even if you do get it off

Is your carbon fiber trim aftermarket? Mine is not nearly as glossy.

Took it to a shop to replace drivers side window i got it back with a gap in the door top right they said they dont know how to fix it can anybody help
