The audio here is not the best, but the talk is still worth listening to.
Dr Barker was a leader and author in the New Thought spiritual movement and, specifically, in Religious Science. He was president of the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) from 1943 to 1946 and of Religious Science International from 1954 to 1957. Dear Dr. Ellis-Jones-Thank you so very much for posting these old radio talks by the giants of the New Thought movement-Dr. Grayson, Dr. Barker, Dr. Curtis, Norman Vincent Peale, etc
They are just as full of inspiration now as when they were first given!! Please keep them coming!

Thank you, Richard, for your kind words. I am so glad you enjoy them. I have a large collection of old audio cassettes, etc, of New Thought and progressive Christian ministers and speakers. It gives me joy that tapes that have meant much to me over the years are appreciated by people such as yourself. Keep well--and thanks once again. Ian.

I do not have words to express my gratitude for effort to bring Raymond's voice back to life. As a practicing Religious Scientist, and a students student of Dr. Barker my Spirit sings to know his wisdom lives.

Great to hear the man's talks! but ... was the audio already noise-reduced or did you do that? IMO whoever did it set the threshold a bit too high, and it's harder to understand as a consequence. Just a bit more noise would have allowed the higher frequencies through, to make the words more intelligible. But perhaps the source material is just so noisy it would still be difficult to understand 🤷‍♂

Thanks for your comment. I don't know what changes, if any, were made to the audio. I made none. (I doubt I'm clever enough anyway to try.) Cheers!

There are two, cardinal words, that should never be, uttered, from a Pulpit, nor uttered, in an advisory religous work.
They; are; that of: " You "; and; " I ". Always: use the impersonal; inclusive; "We" ; and, "Us".
One; doth simply walks away; when: " You.... should..... "; is, heard.
Similarly; when: " You see". and; " You: are quite: right". and, " Goodness: gracious, me "; is heard. If one hath the, spare time, to; listen, to the present, aspiring, females, when, pontificating, most of the sentences, begin, with: "" I ". As the Congregations deminish.
The mysterious reality, being, that; `we, are all, in it; together`.
The satirical, exceptional, Irish Priest; Jonathan Swift: did, so relate: " As they climb, the gallows steps; to their, Pulpits".
