Here is the reason your peal and stick backsplash is not sticking in some areas, it is caused form the wall not cleaned and prep very well. You may want to apply some heat to the area that is not sticking. You can just use a hear dryer, just make sure you set the dryer on med. heat and do not keep the dryer in one spot, move it around. Touch the tile now and then, making sure you are not burring the till. Now apply pursuer to the tile and hold it in place for a few seconds. Hope this will help.
The work around for the $300 bathroom max air fan is to put a $28 12v automotive fan in your window. They will suck out all the hot air inside within a few minutes. Your ac won't have to work so hard to cool down your rig. These fans are very fast so you will need a $1.75 variable speed switch and for $2 you can add a switch that will run the fan either direction.
A $100 tailgate generator will charge batteries for 2 hours on 50 cents worth of gas. It would take about 100 years to spend enough on gen gas to equal the cost of a solar system.
I ordered the same system you have in your rig. Dual Victron multiplus and 6 battle born batteries. Do you have a wiring diagram you used? I would like to install myself. Thanks for any help.
I posted a video of 101 RV tips and mods but one thing I would add to this video is to carry a flair gun for security. They cost $45 at Walmart and they are legal everywhere. They would definitely deter any bad guys who might try to invade your rig. Just shoot it out the window. I posted a video shooting a flare into a pile of brush.
The best thing you could do for your bathroom sink is add a 99 cent strainer so your contacts, jewelry, hearing aids, etc. Don't end up in your holding tank. They might get caught in the P trap but in an RV all that drain piping is glued together.
The bidet I installed on my AS isn’t a seat, it’s hose attached to the sink. There’s a valve for the sink and the nozzle. Nice warm water and to clean you and also the toilet without touching. Just removed the bubbler and put it on. Never leaks. Not saying better, it’s nice for me, another option.
love your channel. Great notes on upgrades.. thanks for the honest stick and peel tile comments. have been thinking how to upgrade the electric / battery system. You've given me great ideas how to update step by step.
We replaced our kitchen, bath and shower fixtures. We’ve upgraded our bath fan. Also added the solid steps and changed out the living room furniture. Going to take on the plexiglass mod to keep an eye on the waterworks next.
Great job! We need to replace our shower fixture someday. Good luck on the plexiglass mod, it's been great not having to open up that wall everytime we just want to take a peek!
We have the solar, victron battleborn package on our wishlist after all this virus stuff is over, our best upgrade so far was the ikea up desk install , taking out that crappy dining desk in our Gd 310gk. Larry
Lot of good info in this video, some I knew but others I didn't. Definitely the inverters and solar panels are up there, the independent suspension adds comfort when driving over irregular pavement. Love your dog outtakes.
Now that was funny. As you were finishing your video, I was scanning all your questions to see if anyone mentioned the locks. I've heard other RVers say that they didn't like theirs because they could not tighten them up enough to have them stay steady. AND then Jason came on with his "bonus" question. Thanks Jason. :) :)
haha, perfect! Glad we could answer your question. We haven't had an issue with our lock not being tight enough, that's unfortunate others have. We did have to buy the extra sticker thing because it didn't cover the old hole completely. Here's our install video showing that if you're curious: ua-cam.com/video/l0-TYwD5iCc/v-deo.html
Great idea to install the Bidet. We have one in the house and never thought of in the MH. So I bought one like yours and installed it. I have the Thetford Aqua-Magic Style II which it looks like is the same as you. I have an issue with the install, the t-coupler that allows the bidet line to tap off the toilet line will not fit on the toilet fittings. The t-coupler is just a shade too big. Did you have a similar problem with your install? What did you do about it. Thanks
We need to upgrade our battery. It went bad and I thought something died in the RV haha would love solar too. We love love or RVLock . Wish we had it when the dogs locked the door with keys inside haha that's what made us get it.
hahaha oh no, naughty puppies! And yes, we were horrible with our lead acid battery! Love that Battle Borns are so easy to maintain (aka, we don't have to do anything lol).
We have done the bidet, MaxxAir fans/shades, and SnapPads. We love them all. Still need to do the solar and lithium batteries. Great video and lots of great advice as always. Thanks for sharing!
Great modifications! I am glad you really enjoy them and they make your life better. I really like the solar system and the Battle Born batteries. That independent suspension should definitely extend the life of your RV and greatly reduce your need for repairs.
Getaway Couple Not this week, but I did post when I did the upgrade. What a difference it made! I also posted it in the Grand Design Mods fb page. That is a great resource as well.
I agree that the bidet is worth it. I have this same model at home. The normal cold water doesn't really bother me, even in winter, but I live in the southeast USA.
I've added these "tiles" to several of my RV's. "Smart Tiles" (made in Canada) are a much better product. They can be purchased from Home Depot. I used Tic Tac Tiles once and they did not stick well at all. Removed and replaced with Smart Tiles.
We spent $1,000 on the six panels and an additional $1,980 on the two charge controllers, mounting brackets, cables, tools, junction boxes, fuses, solar combiners, etc.
We didn't film the install of the Luxe but we did with the toilet lid, that can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/LExYSh1KRU4/v-deo.html Jason says it was really easy to install the bidet to the RV plumbing, it just took a bit of extra time finding the right size of sharkbite connectors at Home Depot.
Hi Scott! The SeeLevel monitors have been great! We really like being able to tell exactly what level we're at when dumping and flushing our tanks. We were hoping to put the fresh water tank monitoring to better use while boondocking but with current times, haven't been able to to that too much yet. It might not be our first purchase if we got another rig but it would be on the list, so it's definitely worth the money.
How do y’all like the disk brakes. Would you do them with the suspension upgrade. We are planning on the Morryde independence suspension too and wondering about the brakes.
We love them! The different is night and day and they stop the rig on a dime. We did have an issue with a yoke breaking from rough roads but their customer service handled it quickly and sent us the parts. We were able to change it ourselves, which is saying a lot for us 😂We do have a vlog coming eventually that shows it in more detail.
A mod you may like and Jason would love to do it for you..... I installed dimmer switches in the bathroom and the bedroom. The lights are just too bright from the factory.
Yes! A dimmer for the bedroom is on the list. It was on for the bathroom as well, however we're loving the softer light that's on the MaxxAir Shade we recently installed so I think we're good for soft lighting in the bathroom now.
Really like the videos as always. I have a question though. I know you have victron solar controllers but what models do you have?. I'm looking at the Victron Smart solar Mppt 150/60. I only have 4- 100 watt panels. Would this one be good for my application?. I am going to get eventually 2 battleborn 100ah lithium batteries. Thanks for any infor you can share. Be safe and most of all have a blast !!!
Great video! I'm a new subscriber as a result! Loved the upgrades, especially the faucet and the Max Air 7500K. However, I can't find the Max Shade with the door and the light option. Can you give me a link to that add-0n option?

Some great info. Would love some ballpark cost. But, the one thing I would really love to know is those laptop stands. What and where did they come from?
This is such a hard question!! We both think it has to be the batteries and inverter though. That upgrade completely changed the way we travel, boondock, and increased our comfort level a ton!
Hey y’all! Couple questions. Saw that Battleborn has finally added your package to their site. Since we are in the 310GK, I think this will be ideal for us as well. I was planning on adding solar panels, but you mentioned having an onboard generator. We have one, so my question is with your configuration how long do you estimate it would take to fully charge off the generator? Order extra number decals because they do eventually crack. Looking forward to getting our new chairs. Thanks! Safe Travels!
Hi there! We have a 3500W generator from Harbor Freight and we'd say it can charge our six Battle Born Batteries in about 6 hours if we're using both inverters (from 0% to 100%). This is an estimate though since we have never charged from 0% to time it. Also, keep in mind, that timeframe would be doubled if you had one inverter. The MultiPlus has a charge current limit of 70 amps. Since you have an onboard generator you could install the system and test it out for a bit to see if you'd even need to install solar panel to supplement your charging power. And yes, we did get our package on Battle Born's website! @@GetawayCouple The 70A limit is for the 24V Multiplus. For those staying at 12V, it is 120A. They really get the job done.
