Man I went last weekend to PINS and same thing, nothing but whithings. One of them was 17 inches though. I also had a nice run, but it dropped the hook before I even picked up the rod. Always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming Coop!

Whiting are an amazing fish. Great for bait, great to eat. Anytime I get skunked elsewhere I always fall back to surf fishing for a mess of whiting.

They waves on Texas beaches arent strong, they are just extensive. A regular 1oz pramid sinker usually works.

I was out on Alabama Coast yesterday trying to catch some whiting to use for cut bait and caught a 30” redfish on my whiting rig and no whiting.
Making me wanting to go surf fishing, probably won’t make it back out till mid December

Man, you can get a small set of cheap binoculars for surface scanning, and they're really handy when you surf or jetty fish. A $5 pair at Walmart will do it.
