What Jeep needs is go back to its roots with simple affordable vehicles... It needs a real Willis jeep. One with front and rear lockers and sway bars disconnect but as simple as possible with things like power windows, air conditioner, radio, automatic transmissions, etc as options to make the base price affordable but coming with the things that are a must for a real off-road vehicle like the front and rear lockers...
I Have driven both the v6 and i4 turbo with automatic transmissions. I personally like the v6 setup better. I felt that I had to push down more or harder on the i4 accelerator to get the same power that the pentastar v6 feels like it has. Power band also felt smoother on the v6 vs i4. Turbo felt like it had to spool up first to get useful power.
Well at least in Utah you have places where you can actually use a Rubicon. Here in Florida people pay for all that capability and just drive it to the mall. Then they complain they can't get ahead.
I own a loaded out Rubicon with the 35 inch tire package. The Jeep is just AMAZING!!! The on road comfort combined with the off-road capability is mind boggling!
Imagine a jeep wrangler that has a near $60,000 price tag on it in the first place then imagine being so out of touch with reality to put a thumbnail up saying “Rubicon For Cheap!” and thinking you can get buy in that it’s a good deal. First off there has never been a wrangler worth $50,000 except maybe the one with the hemi and that is a stretch because it’s still a wrangler. Tax, title and registration is on average about $3000 and if you put $2000 down on top of that your out $5000 and have a national average APR of around 6% with exceptional credit. Thats $1,098 bucks a month for a Jeep Wrangler lol, and that is insane. The wrangler is moving into the “tool” bracket that heavy duty trucks are in. Meaning, that if you don’t use it to make money or just have a $1100 to spend monthly on a toy the price point alienates about 3/4 of the market from owning it. 😂
Ben you need to stop saying 60k and 70k cars are affordable. Seriously dude -- stop click baiting. The only affordable decent suvs out there are subarus right now.
Sales is what will fix the auto market. +20% price reduction will provide the success automakers are looking for. I'd recommend MSRP price reductions which will be better than rebates for two reasons. One, people shop online as a starting point. Seeing lower MSRP's will gain interest faster than rebates. Two, automakers AND DEALERS need to rebuild trust. The rebate game is bull$hit and people hate that game. The market has changed and the auto industry needs to change with it. Observe, Adapt, Change, & Survive. Automakers have been very greedy. "Be fearful when others are greedy." - Warren Buffett
Since Europeans own Jeep they have lost their way with pricing. That said, rented 2 new Rubicons this past year and was amazed how much better they are to drive vs older ones. Around Hawaii it was great fun and of course off roading they are awesome. But $70K?!
Can you imagine if Jeep would install a Toyota engine in the Wrangler? Jeep sales would take off, and I’m sure Toyota could still sell a boat load of Land Cruisers.
@@JA-zh5xiSure, those Tundra V6 turbo engines are gold. Especially as all of them from 2022 and 2023 are being recalled and replaced by Toyota. 2024's are next up on the recall and replacement list.
I'll consider a new Jeep when those 35% price reductions come to the dealers. Jeeps are rudimentary vehicles to charge $58K for the base Rubicon. I own a 2020 Gladiator Launch edition and power is borderline. I suppose a 392 Gladiator might pry my wallet open if CJDR can incentives their remaining dealers to avoid gouging.
Ben it feels under powered because you owned a TRX a Jeep 392 and a Bronco raptor, I have the same problem once you have horsepower it’s hard to go down in power ha ha!!! I feel a vehicle like this one should be in the low $50,000 range, it’s absolutely ridiculous the cost of everything two years ago you could buy a jeep 392 loaded for 79,000 now the same 392 is about $105,000, and if you look at the value of the 392 for example that’s used with low miles a couple years old people have lost 20,000+ dollars that’s a huge hit and if you buy one of these Rubicon‘s with the four-cylinder one year from now it’s gonna be worth about $35,000 that’s a huge loss I can understand a $10,000 loss over a couple years but it’s out of hand I don’t know how the regular hard-working folks could even afford one of these👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My gosh - you can get a land cruiser for less money than that and have Toyota quality. Jeep is absolutely trash tier. You’d have to be insane to buy that rolling pile of garbage. That’s a $35k vehicle at best.
You'll be very sorry if you buy the 2 L. Jerry, the Trailrecon guy's mechanic said he has had to replace several of those engines just out of warranty. And that engine replacement is EXPENSIVE.
We bought a 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the 2.0. It just reached 14,000 miles with no problems so far. It gets combined 24 mpg. I like the spin-on oil filter it has. The major negative for me is that it is direct injected unlike the V-6, which is multi-port injected.
It might be a low price compared to other trims, but $58000 is not "affordable" for many people.

Take off about 10k would be more realistic . Jeep seems to think that jeeps are made of gold .
That's exactly what they did during covid, all jeep's went up by 10 grand, rip-off's !
Agreed. Covid pricing needs to be removed. $5-$10k less needs to happen.
Covid pricing needs to be removed from everything these corporations are just gouging us .

59k for that seems like a lot when a zr2 bison is 64k

I wish there was an off-road 3rd row suv, so the Ford Expedition Timberline is my deal
The price is crazy for 2.0 let it rot!!! Real number 39000!

$20K off in a couple of months?
This is the lowest prices will get. Especially when interest rates go back down
Still not an acceptable price...

58k for no 35’s and a sewing machine under the hood. More powerful engine and 35’s on the Bronco for 5k ish less if you spec it right.
Bought a nicely equipped '24 Rubicon Unlimited in Oct. Got it $12k off of the $63k MSRP. The discount made the price much more palatable.
I heard that prices are already coming down. It will be interesting to to see where they settle out.
looks great for a $30,000 niche vehicle
Does Jeep not have any other engine anymore besides the 2.0? This is like the 20th jeep video with the exact same engine.
Bring back the 2.2L Diesel. Best Engine ever made!!!
You can get a base Wrangler for under $40k without lockers and sway bar disconnect, but it would still go off road.
Since Europeans own Jeep they have lost their way with pricing. That said, rented 2 new Rubicons this past year and was amazed how much better they are to drive vs older ones. Around Hawaii it was great fun and of course off roading they are awesome. But $70K?!
Do all the 2025 Rubicon trims have white stitching on the steering wheel? I don’t like it with the red stitching everywhere else.
Jeep wrangler Rubicon good looking suv you can take it off road or anywhere you want love it
Sounds like Stellantis might be offering a buy one get one free deal by years end.
My dealership sells rubicons for 8k under sticker.
33% coming off that soon
I heard a lot of the banks aren’t giving loans anymore. I wonder if that means even if they reduce the price, people still won’t get loans?
Can you imagine if Jeep would install a Toyota engine in the Wrangler? Jeep sales would take off, and I’m sure Toyota could still sell a boat load of Land Cruisers.
It would be better, but you’d still have a great engine surrounded by garbage.

@ obviously the OP is talking about the other million types of engines they’ve built that last forever.
Still overpriced by about 15-20%
Will they do a Rubi with the Hurricane RHO?

Just stupid money.
2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Rubicon 4X4 4-Door!
Say "Video"... lol.
Not affordable. BS.

I have both a Rubicon and a new 2025 Land Cruiser 250. The Jeep is definitely not "trash". You are uniformed.
@ ya well the rest of the world disagrees with you along with every single independent agency that tracks quality. It’s complete garbage.

Why do they cost so much… then he states” federally mandated”. Light bulb.
Pentastar is best bet, much more reliable long term. Power in Jeep is not needed on trails
