    Wow thanks a lot for the review! This really helps a lot. I am looking for a new, better swivel knife since I still have a noname one. I'm living in germany and really love the stamps from rickert, so it's great to know their swivel knifes are really good too. Thanks for your help 😊

      You’re quite welcome! Let them know you saw my review. They love that sort of thing. You won’t be disappointed with their knife either. Solid tools.

    Thank you very much for your great review. I will definitively check those swivels.
    Thank you also for the idea of the oil to smoth them. I did that on my Tandy leather swivel, and it turns much better. So seeing the price of the Rickert, i see the classic is half of the price of the Professional, and obviously, with the help of the oil, i don't think it is necessary to get one Professional, when i can have two different classic for the same price. And most important, they are ajustable. For the blade, maybe the number 0 could be interesting, but i think i will go on with Ivan Hollow ground blades, as i know how to sharp them, it should be ok.
    Thanks again, i spent hours to look for good swivels, and didn't want to spend all my money on a Barry King one (which i don't like the look, but that's my own problem), so i will order to Rickert. Many thanks.

      You are welcome. Glad it helped! They are quite nice. I'd go with the pro version personally and change blades as necessary, although that is personal preference. These are quality pieces. Anything more is just showing off :P

    Very interesting! I'm in the US, but they look nice enough that I may just order one and pay the shipping to get it here! Are the blades the standard angle or a more shallow angle like the ones you demonstrated in your 'cut less-bevel more' video?

    Thanks for this review. Those look like the Kyoshin Elle swivel knives, which I've heard are pretty damn great.

      Lyn A. I agree. They are quite nice. Especially for the money.

      It's very possible they are collaborating.

      @@learnleather4865 That's pretty interesting. Do you also tested the Kyoshin? If so, would you say there are some differences? Because those are the two companies I can choose from at stores here around.

      @@BumbleBauz It is my understanding they are the same. Many of the tools have the letter K laser engraved on them. I have only briefly held what I know to be a Kyoshin a few years ago and it left a good impression back then. You could ask Rickert for clarification when you order :)

    make it sens to buy an amature swivel Knife or should i start with a low price swivel knife?

    • @learnleather4865
      @learnleather4865  4 місяці тому

      My believe is but the best you can afford. You’ll never be disappointed. That being said, the Rickert is an excellent knife for someone at any level. It’s inexpensive and smooth. The only real choice you have to make is what kind of blade you prefer.

    Great review. I have tried a google search but can't find their website.

      I have now found their website but unfortunately their delivery costs to the UK are very expensive. The knife is is the same price as delivery therefore doubling the price. Ah well.

    • @learnleather4865
      @learnleather4865  4 роки тому

      Graham Briggs even if it is, it’s still a pretty good deal. Not sure why it’s so expensive to you though. Not nearly that much to Greece.

      @@learnleather4865 I've just re checked their site and the delivery charge is the same to any country in the EU, including the UK and Greece..12 euros. I don't know how they can justify that.

      Graham, guess I never considered the shipping since I got quite a few things at a time. Didn’t seem like a lot to me. Great products though. Maybe order something else with it :)

      @@learnleather4865 Yes I think putting the knife together with other items would make sense and spread the cost of delivery, Cheers.

    Shirley, these are not the low angle blade. That is only available from Peter Main. The Rickert blades are a variety of standard blades.

    Ricket comes from Japan & not from german

    • @learnleather4865
      @learnleather4865  2 роки тому

      Rickert is in Germany. Their tools are made by Craft Japan but have the Rickert logo laser etched in them, so when you buy them, they come from Germany.

      Sorry, I don’t speak German and I am doing this as a separate entity from Rickert. It is beyond my ability to make video content in another language.
