Been on a J Cole binge. My mom been real tight on money and i can’t get hired anywhere since i don’t have experience, if it wasn’t for financial aid i wouldn’t be able to afford college. Imma make it if it’s the last thing i do i promise you mom ❤️ you can’t control situations in life but you can always control the effort you put in. 🙏🏼
I advise you to take up whatever low menial job you can for the hours you have time to work while studying like bar tending, waiting tables, maybe even a secretary or receptionist type job. Whatever you can get. Next thing is to do volunteering or internships in the industry you want to break into. Work for free for a bit in that industry and network like crazy while also studying everything about how the industry works, the challenges and what makes you fit into that industry. Once you've built up that voluntary experience you'll have your foot in the door to get a place.

J cole I'm not sure if you care about what your fans say or think about your art, but you need to know it matters. Your music has gotten me through a lot. I don't mean to be getting in my feeling or anythinng, but you need to know that. I'm sure you don't hear it enough. Well anyway my name is Brandon Connelly. I'm a white kid from Texas. Despite what people think, not all Texans are country fu**'s. I grew up with my father as a crackhead who cheated, stole, and yelled at my mom all the time. I have two older brothers who beat the hell out of me until I learned how to fight. I learned quick. They left when I was real young and I had to take care of my younger brother while my mom worked three jobs and went to college. My brothers came around stealing from my mom every now and then, but only to steal. Not say high or cook dinner. While my mom did what she had to i took care of my little brother. I fed him, I got him dressed and ready I'm the morning, I helped him with his homework, I poured his cereal. I got him up and brought us both to the school bus when it was dark and scary outside. (I was little, so the dark scared me) I was the one who put hi. To bed and tucked him in at night, I stole him the stories. After had fall asleep I'd go wait at my moms door for her to stop crying everynighht. I had to protect myself from bullies and I got bullied a lot. I was always getting into trouble and always fighting somebody. What I remember most about my dad was having the cops with guns out at our house one day after me and my little brother got off the bus after school. They arrested him and my little brother would not stop crying. After all this crap and a lot more which i don't have enough time to type she met a guy named Brandon (which was weird cause I have the same name) finally we got away from the racist drug addicts from our trailer park. We moved in with him and his two kids. At first it was hard for me to adjust because I always felt like I needed to protect myself and I was always mad. Just as I was getting better and my guard was coming down we moved out because things wrrent working out and we were off to this rich kid school in Allen. I fu**ing hated that place. The first month or two me and my little brother slept in cots at our aunts. Then we got an apartment that my mom could barely afford. Everybody there was stuck up and didn't appreciate s**t. Almost a month and a half in I had some rich kids trying to mess with me. Of course with my hot headed and stupid self I let it bother me and I fought one of them. I got lucky I didn't got to juvie. Their strict up their about fighting. My mom and that guy got back together and it was good but trouble always seemed to find me and I kept fighting. Not as much but more than I wanted to because I didn't want to at all. I was tired of fighting. I got my rib dislocated twice and I had surgeries on my ankles and feet. I healed up over time and finally for about a year i wasmt getting in trouble, but lately things have been going sideways. I liked this girl but when I was trying to get her to really be with me is we can be out of that talking stage she told me she might be pregnant with her ex's baby who raped her when she got drunk. I still wanted to be with her but then she found out that the baby could be mine. I was happy and ready to step up as a dad instead of a step dad. I was excited. Then today I found out it ismt mine. I love her though. Im grounded now for smoking weed and its hard to help with the pregnancy. I was training at an mma gym but that's gone now. I miss the weed. Im trying to quit smoking cigs. On top of that this guy is trying to fight me and I can't hit hi. Because I can't get in trouble no more. I have to worry about this baby now. I still want her and the baby. Im trying to graduate early so I can go to the fire academy and maybe make a decent life for the both of us. Only my mom knows. I miss the gym a lot even when I was getting a foot to the face. Nothing ain't ever gonna be easy. Your music reminds me that people got it worse. That I shouldn't complain. Im grateful for everything. Especially the bad. Its made me a better person. Strange how the world works and im not even out in the hardest part of it yet. Well anyway that's most of my story. I just want you to know that your music means more than you know. It helps me with s** t sometimes. Thank you for that. Now I just wonder what your story is.
