I have owned a P950 for six months. Still learning how to use it to the fullest. Its fast focus and rapid image taking will capture behaviors, like flying, fighting, eating etc. I should not run out of discovering its capabilities for a number of years.
Yes... P950 is better than P900 in many ways. Shooting Birds in action is far better & 4K recording is also good. Keep Shooting and Learning and Thanks for Watching 😊🙏

Thanks a lot 🙏🏻 P1000 is much bulkier and quite big in size compatitive to P950. 2000mm is enough to capture wild and It's easy to hold and carry without tripod.

All shots are handled... using a monopod for shooting videos with p950... It's a really good camera and sometimes it takes time to learn all features... Keep Shooting... Keep Learning 🙏😊
When you’re downloading the photos onto a device you can only download 1 high quality photo at a time. You can’t download multiple photos in high quality for some reason. This may help.

Wow, great shots! I've been considering to replace my aged Canon Sx50 with P950. Have u used it in forest/shaded environment, for birds that are far away? I mainly birdwatch in forest without tripod, I find it challenging to focus with my sx50, I hope to find a better bridge camera.
Sx50 is also a good Camera 🙌
P950 has good fast focus and a great camera for Bird photography and birding. Quality is compromising in low light. As camera is heavy so video recording is hard to shoot without tripod but you can use this for photography without any tripod...
From all bridge cameras, nikon p900-p1000 seem to have the best image. I guess it is the lens. Lots of ed glass makes it unreachable to other models.

I know people knock it but it gets shots not many cameras can get and with know how, good light and maybe a pinch of editing you can get amazing photos of wildlife.
Also doubles as a spotting scope if you just want to observe.

hi very nice photos... where were they mainly taken? i live in Thailand next to wetlands so many of these birds are common in my neighbourhood. i recently upgraded from the nikon b700 (which has been awesome) to the p950 so looking forward to getting lots of greater shots.. i had a few issues to start with as the camera would hang etc but have now upgraded to hopefully a fast enough memory card (extreme pro 200mbs). i travel a lot (backpacking or motorcycle adventuring) so these bridge cameras are the ideal camera companion for me.
how do you see Nikon p900 vs P950? quality? visor? do you see strong differences?? is good the mode raw in p950? My hobby is the birds photography, I know p900 so I want to buy a 950... thanks so much!!!

P950 has great zooming; which makes this a perfect camera for wildlife and bird photography.
P900 is also a good and pocket friendly option too.... But I think they discontinued that product 🙏

Nice photographs, I own a canon cropped sensor DSLR camera, I want to upgrade my setup for bird and wildlife photography but for that a minimum of 400mm lens is needed which is as costly as Nikon P 950,should I consider purchasing a new lens or this camera. What would you suggest?

There's no satisfaction even someone buy 800mm too... Agree with that fact also Lenses are Expensive & Heavy and We can't carry them all time or in all trips...
But we can't ignore that fact that DSLRs gives best quality and detailed photos... which we can't get through these bridge cameras...
If you are going to buy this.... I'll suggest you to buy P1000 instead of this... Not much difference of budget but you will get better zoom 🙏

Glad you liked. All these images are processed in Photoshop/Lightroom. Retouching is essential part to create stunning images. P950 is worth to buy.

Raw,centrally located tripod mount,flash shoe,better rear screen.

I just bought a P950 and waiting for it to get to my house, but I was wondering from other reviews the claim is it won't capture birds in flight or wildlife action. Yet people do. I also have 2 other cameras. I have an old Nikon D3000 and have no problems capturing so I was wondering is it similar to capture action or is it different? Thanks
Took a while to understand settings and Now it works fine with me. Just a game of shutter speed or you can choose shutter priority mode. Burst shot is also a good option for action photography.

It's a beast and I am using this for many reasons. If you are hobby photographer and love to capture wild; then it will be great choice. 200-500 is expensive and off course bulky too.
There's no big difference of price between p950 and p1000. P1000 is little heavy than this. Both are great choices for Capture every moment.

I am currently considering whether to buy the Nikon P950 or a telephoto lens.
I use a camera with interchangeable lenses but with 75mm - up to 300 it gets tight with animals that are far away.

Were these pictures taken with or without a tripod?
I'll suggest you to buy a telephoto lens, if you're using dslr/mirrorless.
If you're using Nikon. Nikon 200-500 is great choice. Second Option is Tamron 150-600 G2. Tamron is also available for Canon Mount. Both lenses has amazing results.
Not using Tripod much... Most of these pictures are shot hand held.
@@AmanArtverse I use a Panasonic Lumix G81 - MFT sensor.
My reasoning is based on the fact that I don't really want to lug around lenses with me all the time.
So I'm looking around at the bridge cameras and have already seen some great photos of the Nikon P950 on Flickr.
Many would say I'm going backwards in terms of sensor size.
But I am of the opinion that good light leads to the desired results.
For hikes through nature, I find a bridge camera more pleasant.
Well let's see what it really will be in the end.

If I have to choose one camera,
P950 will be always my first choice. Same situation like you, I want to get rid from the heavy lenses.... And most of my birding, hikes trips done with this single camera.

Have had this camera for a year, fine in the beginning. Now the auto focus misses I have tried different modes. Does matter if.its landscape or wildlife. Lately it's been hit or miss. Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue?
Autofocus is slow but never face this kind of problem Sir...
