    I use micellar water to remove my eye make up. I just saturate 2 cotton pads and hold them on my eyes for a few second (no rubbing or tugging) it lifts everything off (I do not use waterproof mascara). Then I do a double cleanse with mild cleansers. I like to get the micellar water off my skin because I feel it very drying if I leave it on.

    I’ve just discovered your channel and I am so happy! I was trying to find a new skincare line after my current one discontinued some of their products and now I want to try everything you use. You’ve got wonderful information, and it’s so nice to find someone that’s reviewing products that’s closer to my age. Fine lines looked worse and darkening of the skin and red spots formed. I switched to the French version of retin -a A313 pomade which is weaker , but omg my skin is looking amazing . I also have been doing 20% peel once a week . Might try the .05 retin- a in the fall.🤷‍♀️

    • @jsolomon566
      @jsolomon566 4 роки тому

      @@heavenlysent4487 Good question. Both products are retinoids but they are manufactured by different companies. Tazorac is the only product that the FDA says reverses signs of sun damage. I love the stuff - people think I am 20 years younger than what I am!! Also, I buy it from Northwest Pharmacy online - its a Canadian pharmacy and it costs only $50 versus in the US its so expensive. You can put it on your face, eyelids, under your eyes, neck and chest. Stay away from your lips! I am going to experiment with the skin above my knees to see if it helps there. It will dry your skin and it will peel in the beginning but once you get over that hump, your skin will be beautiful.

      @jsolomon566 4 роки тому

      @@DragonFire-kt9hb You're welcome! Yes, all retinoids reduce melasma. I use the Tazorac cream, FYI. It is a stronger formulation. I have been using it on and off for over 10 years. I will go off during the summer because it can make you sun sensitive and I live in Texas where the sun is super strong. Make sure you ALWAYS use sunscreen when using this product. I wash my face at night first with Ponds unscented cold cream to remove the zinc oxide from my sunscreen and then clean with Cerave Hydrating facial cleanser. I let my skin dry for 20 mins then I put on the Tazorac. You can follow up with moisturizer 20 mins later. I use Cerave nighttime skin renewing moisturizer because it is SUPER moisturizing. Retinoids will dry your skin so I recommend these products to help with the dryness, especially the Ponds UNSCENTED.

    Your arms look amazing!! Would love to see your workout routine. That's the way I wish my arms looked. I used to put retin-A under my eyes and have been having so many issues with my eyes lately. I went to the eye dr and they said everything looks fine, I read some where that Retin-A can cause inflammation to the Meibomian glands in your eyes, and stopped using it there but the symptoms haven't gone away, ugh. Did your symptoms go away after you stopped using the retin-A there?

      MISSYMINX261 Thank you! ❤️ Yes, when I don’t use retinol or retin-a on my upper eyelids they’re totally fine and my eyes return to normal. I hope your situation fixes itself because I know how uncomfortable it can feel. You might want to also consider your mascara. I used to use a Mascara a while back that messed with my eyes as well. ❤️

    You look phenomenal! I have a similar routine. You said that Retin A dries out your eye area. It could also be the olive oil in your DIY, although I am not sure how much you include in your DIY solution. Dr. Dray says that olive oil is drying. I look to make sure it is not in any leave on products. It is in my Hado Labo oil cleanser, but I rinse it with my double cleanser.

    I am considering botox for deep forehead lines however I scared of getting hooded eyes? I don't have hooded eyes too bad yet at 50 years old? If botox done like you explained in videT do you think I am safe ? I value your opinion however don't live near texas I would have to have done a couple hours away from where I live.

      Renee Schroeder the one time that I got Botox all over my forehead, I hated it because it flattened and dropped my eyebrows and I ended up looking like Frankenstein. So I explained that to my doctor and he suggested placing the injection up higher on my forehead. I love the results! It makes it a little more difficult to create the 11’s (which is great) but it certainly softened my forehead without making me look like Frankenstein. 😘❤️

    What’s the point of the filler in the temple?

      As people age, they lose volume in the temples. So getting filler would give a fuller, more youthful appearance. ✌

    Hi Jennifer. Just watching this older video of yours and you mentioned here your eye lids are feeling and looking very heavy and you also mentioned the Botox you had done. I wonder if the Botox is causing that effect on your eyelids. I know my eyes felt very heavy after I had had some Botox in my forehead. I hated it. I don't get it anymore. Anyways thanks for all the great videos you make. I've been binge watching yours tonight. ❤️🌺

    You're not supposed to leave micellar water on your skin. It would be a lot better to use micellar water first then follow it up with your Cleanser. You can also try cleansing oils to break down everything first then your Cleanser. It's called double cleansing in that way u don't need to use wipes and keep coming back with some make up residue.

    Hi Jenifer,
    You look beautiful. Your skincare routine is a good one and easy to follow. I find the Gold Bond lotion very creamy and emollient. I cannot use Retin A nor retinol because my skin is too sensitive according to my dermatalogist. Also, your eyebrows are very pretty, you do a great job tattooing them! 𝐻𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠, 𝑇𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑎

    If it work for you that’s great, I just want to caution the coconut oil by your eyes can be very irritating over time...I would suggest an oil/balm cleanse over your whole face followed by your current cleanser as step 2.., you can’t break down makeup fully without oil. The Banilla co Zero balm cleanser is great as is the Tatcha oil cleanser. Also if you continue using your micellar water you should rinse it off since is basically soap! 💕

      Well, I started off with the lowest strength which is .025%. I quickly went up in consistency to the .05% and then up to the .1%. I think most people enjoy the .05% best. There is an adjustment period, depending on your skin type and sensitivities, but from what I hear, most women enjoy the .05% for regular use. ❤️

I love the Simple brand with the green cap or Bioderma (no oils) with the Intrinsics silken wipes from Amazon $4 and it’s seriously the best for removing mascara and eye makeup. I want to preserve every eyelash and avoid tugging with wipes.

    You look great---even without makeup. My dermatologist told me to never use Retin A on my eyelids. Use Retin A on my face every night and on my neck and upper chest 3 days a week. On my neck and chest---I mix the Retin A with some light lotion. I use the strongest strength of Retin A. I still have some peeling from time to time---but not very often----mainly around my mouth.

I love to have a tan and I feel better when I have color to me but I now know none of that is healthy so I would love advice u can offer as well! What is a good anti aging face wash, serum or moisturizer I could get?

    • @mave143
      @mave143 4 роки тому +2

      @@agds91078 truthfully there are no serums, cleansers, or moisturizers that will erase sun damage or keep the face from aging. My dad says all you need is a gentle cleanser like cetaphil, sunscreen everyday, and he likes CeraVe moisturizer. The one thing that *does* make a difference in anti-aging is Retin A. Definitely get yourself on that!!! You can start at 0.5 once or twice a week and build up as your skin gets used to it. Was that helpful? And you're right, my dad would definitely tell you those sun worshipping days were not good at all! LOL 😀 Ps--I looked at your channel, and you look great!
