    Now days at diamond hill mine you mainly find the small pieces of crystals and a lot chucks that’s mainly good for tumbling. Not best but close by me and fun

      You know you say that, but I just saw a massive cluster of amethyst come out of there.
      If you dig in the tailings you’ll only ever find tailings 🤷‍♀️

    I live near diamond hill mine and I love going there. I don't know if they have camping there but I know they use to. But it's no electric nor showers. You are right about no public places being around there. At lake Russell there's camp sites in Calhoun falls at a state Park but it is pricey. Anyways what I wanted to ask is what do you use to clean your finds with. Over the years I've brought home alot of finds but I never get them clean.
    On the dirt road that goes across the little creek and up to the curve is a wonderful place for surface finds. I've found beautiful crystals on side of the dirt road just walking and enjoying the view. Amazing place to go. On Google Earth you can see the mine from space when zooming in the area. Hope you guys come back to visit in the area and would love to meet you both. Stay safe and thank you for content. I enjoy watching you guys. Have a Blessed Day.

    • @LoveHut4Life
      @LoveHut4Life  Рік тому

      They used to have camping there, but unfortunately had some problems with crime and stopped for the safety of the man who runs it.
      The little campground you see us visit in this video isn’t too far though and is free most of the year.
      That depends on the mineral. Most things we use a chemical called iron out on, but if you are wanting to preserve the cool colors of film that are often on the crystals from this area, I would just use water and a tooth brush.

      Thank you for the info about cleaning my crystals,
      We've had a lot of rain this week and we had rain last night so I'm up early and planning to go down there today to do a little surface hunting, I'm getting in my 60's now, so digging is getting hard on me. I've haven't been there in about 8 years and I hope I find some points sticking up. Stay safe with y'all's travels.
