just saw them both last weekend and yeah...AFI blew 30 away. 1/2 the time Leto didn't even sing the chorus and held the mic out to the crowd. dude likely can't hit half the notes on the songs. also they have a guitarist but you wouldn't know it, dude literally doesn't have a spot light on him, probably something contractually. lol. loved the first 2 30stm albums but hadn't listened to any of their newer stuff and it was just walmart version of imagine dragons.
@@TheAdjuster1 saw AFI several times (last time was maybe 18 years ago) and you just can’t beat Davey/AFI’s energy, live. Love to see/hear they’re still killin it! Timeless band
they arent paying enough attention. 30stm has been in steady decline for close to a decade. they arent even a band anymore. theyre a electro/dance duo that knows how to play drums and guitar. its a shame. at one time, they were the greatest thing in the world to me. now - i dont even listen to them. AFI - always been amazing- not digging his Braveheart hair haha. but its his head and he can rock it how he wants.
That's probably one of the most epic albums of all time. My fav will always be Shut your mouth open your eyes, but I can't deny how black sails launched this band to another level that they still haven't really come down from.
to be honest those albums were perfect, especially black sails..the perfect blend of the older punk with their new style, fun and dark at the same time...banger after banger
@@johnbecerra5568the vocal surgery was just a vocal cyst removal, it wouldn’t have impacted his singing voice if done properly. He’s continued to have a vocal coach and take lessons for years now, which is why he still sounds so good
Haven’t seen them in 14 years, this was a pleasant surprise at the top of my feed. Happy to hear that Crash Love songs are still in the setlist, that album is a little slept on (it’s not their best obviously, but so good IMO).
I witnessed AFI play a house show in Denton way back and Havok after their set, walked straight to the kitchen, threw everything out of the fridge, crawled inside and shut the door
Amazing show! It’s great to hear Davey sing again. Not only does he still have his voice but he’s mastered it at this point. And the energy he puts into his performance really makes for a great show. ❤

Justified at 35 that this has been one of my top three bands in life, since 14, and they still are. The story behind the music video for leaving song part 2 will always stick in my 🧠! Crazy shit from my youth and best years of my life ! 🎉 thank you for everything AFI! You still perform and sound absolutely amazing 🤩 so proud to be a fan! ❤
The Art of Drowning and Sing the Sorrow had a huge impact on me when I was a teen! Still helping me today in life with a lot of their songs! I’m actually planning getting the poem at the end of Sing the sorrow tattooed on my back! 🤘🏼. AFI will forever be one of my favorite bands! ❤️
I absolutely LOVE that you posted this @MyConcertCollection! AFI!!!! My favorite band, so many memories, my favorite concert of my lifetime was seeing them at the Riviera in Chicago! I have Jade Puget's signature on my bicep permanently there by Chi-Town Ink! I'm seriously so happy every time I hear a new song or see a performance or any news from AFI! You really kept me going through some dark days and into lighter ones, and I appreciate that!
Definitely a solid band Saw them on the 18th in Massachusetts with 30stm. I sat 2nd from the stage. Singer has an outstanding stage presence! They put on a fantastic show!
Saw them Last Year at The Forum for there One Night Only 20th Anniversary of 'Sing the Sorrow' they sounded Fucking Great. They still got it. "Through Our Bleeding!, We are One!"
They are genuinely my favorite band, I've been going to their shows now for over 20 years. The past few years I've seen them have sounded the best, but they've never disappointed. This was such a great show! The whole night was awesome actually! Thank you for uploading!!!
Shut your mouth and open your eyes is my number one but I do recognize it as being the beginning of the end. They embarrassed me later after preaching them so hard as a youngster.

AFI was my first real concert. Saw them again 5 years later at Bumbershoot in Seattle. The last shows set was absolutely incredible. Stage decor was all white for the December Underground Album. It was a mind blowing performance.

Black Sails in the Sunset
Great album but for me sing the sorrow
The years have not dulled the power and venom of Davey Havok 🤘
Man his voice has depth even after all these years, good for him. AFI is still amazing
not to mention his energy jumping around on stage lol
Yes, but his hair…not feeling it 😂
