    Awesome video. Thank you Sir. I have the exact same issue on knocking noise when turning over any bumpy surfaces on my 2022 RAM Rebel. Now I know what to tell the dealer as they haven't figured it out yet!

    I don’t off road, but I still can hear that noise when entering or leaving the driveway at my job site. Uneven pavement surface caused it. I always wondered what the issue is, thanks to your video, I understand it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. No vehicle is perfect, I had a similar issue in my 2012 Raptor, but it only seemed the rear end was doing it, in a certain location.

      Yes I'm glad they fixed the issue for newer builds as well, just something you have to deal with if you want a first model year of any new vehicle 👍🏼

      @@CatchMeOffroad I have a 21’ TRX too. I’d like to get a newer year so that these little things are all just fixed, but it just doesn’t make sense with insane interest rates and vehicle markups for nothing from 21’ to 23’ model years 😢

    When I was at the dealership we had a TRX come in for knocking or rattling. I don’t think they ever figured it out. Very well come be this.

      I believe the front tow hook and A pillar are 80ftlb, and B/C pillars are 97ftlb. Technically you're supposed to use new bolts also, but I reused mine 👍🏼

      @@CatchMeOffroad My 23 TRX developed a chatter type noise that sounds just like what you showed in the first part of the video during the off-road driving (it's not quite as loud, but it sounds like the same noise). This last week while it was super cold (highs in the low single digits or just below 0) the noise came out of nowhere. I'm always very aware of new noises and such on my vehicles, so I noticed it as soon as it started.

    This swap did not go well for me. Started on the passenger side, removed front and A pillar bolts, loosened B and C pillar bolts. Jacked up cab to get top of A pillar and when I went to remove the B pillar the bolt it now just clicks and spins 1/4 turn and does not come out or in. When I did the driver's side, I removed the front, A, and B bolts and loosened the C pillar bolt and now that bolt does the same thing. Now I have a damaged bolt on both ends that I can't get out or tighten. Time to do some research. Open to any thoughts on what to do next...

    • @CatchMeOffroad
      @CatchMeOffroad  Рік тому

      Wow do you think the threaded part inside the body is stripped or something? What is the clicking noise? I wonder if something broke when you lifted the cab, you would have heard a noise though I'd think...
      Have you tried putting some lift pressure on the body with the jack, and loosening the stuck bolts while there's some tension? Not sure if that would help, just a thought...

    • @AndyDrury

      @@CatchMeOffroad Finally got some time this weekend to dig in further. Turns out there was no damage to the body mount threads. Only had to remove the rear seat to get access and see. I was actually able to back out the body mount bolt even with the clicking. I took a die to the threads of the bolt and it was able to go back into the body mount and be torqued down with no issues. I think there was an issue with the amount of thread locker that was causing the issue of the bolt clicking.
