FOSDEM '23: FPGA-based music synthesis with open-source tools

- This is a recording of a talk I gave at FOSDEM 2023 in Brussels last weekend.
The 'eurorack-pmod' project is a collection of open-source hardware, gateware and software that makes it easy to get started in the world of FPGA-based audio synthesis using only open-source tools (such as Yosys + KiCAD). This talk begins with an overview of music synthesis in the context of Eurorack and illustrates how the 'eurorack-pmod' hardware and gateware makes it easy for you to get started making your own high performance music hardware.

Hey Sebastian, great to see a new video from you! You've been missed!
Cool to see the demo video's after seeing the talk live at fosdem.
Did you finish your series on upgrading your spectrum analyser to LCD? If not are you planning to do so?
these look ♪awesome♪ just ordered one for my neural net wavenet based waveshaper. it's currently running at 48kHz on a cortex m-7 but it's too slow :) exciting!
IF you are still planning a production run I'd by one :D Nice Work
That's awesome, never looked at FPGA, currently using a microchip fubarino.
Gonna use MPC4921, AKM requires to many specialized hardware pins (SPI), i found another, Cirrus logic, but has differential input and not sure how to handle these inputs, datasheet doesn't provide much info.
Just jump right into a topic with no real intro or lead up to what you're even talking about or working on.
