Microwave stuff isn't cheap. $1k-3k for a cheap surplus HP analyzer that goes to 20 GHz or so. 141T analyzers like he has go for $400-$1000 but are getting pretty old and fussy. $500-$1500 for a microwave counter good to 26 GHz.

With a filter and such ofc. Have you worked with the ADE-1? I bought one on a PCB I'm planning to experiment with using an SDR as the LO. Use a pencil for a pointer, the xacto knife is making us nervous specially when pointing at the SA's graticule :)

It didn't look like there was solder paste on the center pad.
