- Four days on and there is no trace of the absconding self-styled Godman 'Bhole Baba' after more than 120 people died in a stampede in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi travelled to Hathras to meet the families of the victims of the harrowing stampede incident.
Also, major political showdown between the Opposition and the government erupts over the Agniveer scheme regarding the compensation being extended to the families of those martyred in the line of duty.
