- Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday met flood-affected people in Assam's Cachar district before heading to neighbouring Manipur where he visited relief camps in Jiribam and Churachandpur and interacted with the people who were affected by the year-long ethnic violence. This was Rahul Gandhi's first visit to the Northeast after becoming the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.
