I'm reading it right now and it is my first NG book as well! I love the narration and it is well written. I am understanding why so many people love his books. :)
This was my first Neil Gaiman book too! While I enjoyed this book I didn’t LOVE it. It’s definitely charming I just think younger me would’ve liked it better than present me and that makes sense because it seems like it was targeting a younger audience. Love your hair btw! 💜Bassy
read ocean at the end of the lane, i agree i love his writing style so amazing! and i know you will love this book !! its a book you want to read over and over again neil gaiman is a master
My very first book was actually Coraline; but it wasn't too long after that my mentor, my history teacher in high school during Sophomore and Junior year- who had this group that he played chess, spades and suggested and loaned books to- passed me The Graveyard book. I can't remember much of the book now besides knowing I really enjoyed it. I do however recall well the beginning and the beautiful illustrations it had
I read this book 4 years ago in the 8th grade and I LOVED it!!! I remember picking up with a "ehh, got nothing better to do" attitude but i got into the story so quickly and read it within a day!! :)
The first book I read by him was Ocean At The End Of The Lane, but I just finished The Graveyard Book. I LOVED it. I LOVE his writing! I'm a huge fan of him now!
I can't believe it! An actual review on my favorite book! I read it a couple years ago and I just fell in love! Neil Gaiman is one of my favortite author, because of this one book. If you haven't read it, you should do it. Now!:D But seriously, the story is amazing, original and unique, and the writing is simply beautiful!
My first Gaiman book was American Gods which I liked but didn't love with the passion that lots of people seem to find with Gaiman . I think maybe I need to try this one as a slightly shorter work might be a little more fun. Plus the topic sounds fascinating. :)
I absolutely LOVE Neil Gaiman! He's one of my all time favourite authors. Up till now, I've read Stardust and The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and they were amazing, but The Graveyard Book sounds awesome too....
I always recommend this as a good starting point for Gaiman's work. I think it's very accessible, easy to read and just really fun. That first chapter almost killed me though.
I loved that book! Amazing ! The writing is fantastic! As I'm french, I thought that it was a bit difficult to read in english. He makes very long sentences and goes from an idea to another very fast ...The imagination of the author is so great ... I loved his univers! I also read Coraline: greater again !
I didn't enjoy The Graveyard Book as much as I thought I would, to be honest i couldn't make myself finish it, but I unspeakably LOVE all other books I read by Gaiman, so if you like this book THIS much, buckle up for his other books!
Curiously, this was my first Neil Gaiman read too! I also loved it sooo much, this book is sensible and marvelous and PERFECT. Yeah, I guess you got it haha Great video!
The Graveyard Book was my first Neil Gaiman book as well, and I actually read it during #ayearathon . It definitely made me fall in love with Neil Gaiman and I can't wait to read more by him!
I read The graveyard book first as 'Het kerkhof', in Dutch, and I loved it so much that I also bought the original English version. It's just so wonderful how Neil can describe a creepy situation without even using a shitload of details. Maybe you should also read Coraline and The ocean at the end of the lane? Neil Gaiman is great. :)
I should read this book because one of my favorite books is Coraline by Neal Gaiman. I totally recommend Coraline its short and creepy.Coraline was also turned into a movie.
I love your reviews...and videos in general ! ! ! ! You make my day every time! I was interested if you had read "Matched" by Ally Condie and whether you liked it or not.. Again, thanks for being so awesome ^^ !
I thought it was a cool read considering it's a middle grade book. I love Bod too and the mysterious killer, he I wanted to be dead. lol Anyways, I thought it was fun and it was also the first Neil Gaiman novel I've read and I want to read more from him. :) It was also one of the first novels I read this year.
Not only have I NOT read any book by Neil Gaiman, I also do not own any of his books. Which I think sucks. I've made it a goal to read at least one of his books by the end of this year! *Determined Face*
I really liked this book! I gave it 4 stars just because I liked it but I didn't love it. Also read Coraline by Gaimen awhile back and I liked it even more :)
I cut my teeth on Gaiman's American Gods. In retrospect I think books like The Graveyard Book or Ocean at the End of the Lane are much better launching off points for Gaiman's writing. But if you're willing to tackle the somewhat large investment in the beginning half of American Gods, I think the payoff is pretty profound. So for 2015 I'd love to see a review of American Gods (you know... before the TV series muddys the waters).
Would have been amazing if not for the pointless 'going to school' subplot..and the ending was so stupid it's unbelievable. Say what you will but it's a 3/10 and that's being generous.
I adored this book. Especially the "Danse Macabre" chapter. So beautiful!
That was my favorite part as well.
También mi favorita. Entrañable. Me hizo evocar a quienes amo y están ausentes.
this novel should be made for a movie
I cried at the end of the book
Same I became hysterical
I’m here
I did too
what?
The ending makes me sad, cry, and unsatisfied, though I really love the book. I NEED A SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!
"Is that a baby?"
"Of course it's a baby!"
(Hearing Neil Gaiman read the Graveyard book makes it so much better.)
I love this book, the last chapter was heartbreaking though.
@Little Book Owl : Try Anansi Boys by: Neil Gaiman I'm sure you'll love it :)
It was ages ago when I read it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as other people. From what I remember I did like it, it just wasn't what I was expecting
I'm reading it right now and it is my first NG book as well! I love the narration and it is well written. I am understanding why so many people love his books. :)

read ocean at the end of the lane, i agree i love his writing style so amazing! and i know you will love this book !! its a book you want to read over and over again neil gaiman is a master
I also loved this book, I'm a sucker for stories of where characters create their own families and how those families function.
Your description definitely makes sense. Couldn't agree more. I am listening to the audio book and enjoying it very much :)
My very first book was actually Coraline; but it wasn't too long after that my mentor, my history teacher in high school during Sophomore and Junior year- who had this group that he played chess, spades and suggested and loaned books to- passed me The Graveyard book. I love your review! I've heard amazing things about Neil Gaiman and love his speech 'Make Good Art'. I'll be adding this to my to-read list for sure!
I feel I need to read every Neil Gaiman book, he's just so good.
Chapter 7 and 8 where awesome, I loved them. One thing I was hoping for is for Bod and Liza to..you know, have something between them
Ivan Garcia I was hoping for something between bod and Scarlett

I absolutely LOVE Neil Gaiman! He's one of my all time favourite authors. Up till now, I've read Stardust and The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and they were amazing, but The Graveyard Book sounds awesome too....
The first chapter reminds me of voldermort he can kill a entire family but cant kill a baby
I always recommend this as a good starting point for Gaiman's work. I think it's very accessible, easy to read and just really fun. That first chapter almost killed me though.

Why am I still holding this?😂😂😂
Do a spoiler review
I read the book's Graphic novel(1st part) and I felt really pathetic by the story and narration why is it so?
simply because you are beautiful and you've read this (The Graveyard Book) that I immediately subscribed. :-)
