When Brian worked at Nems in Walton Road he delivered my Pedigree pram to my mum and dad in Patmos Street in Everton Liverpool. He wheeled it from the shop to the house a fair distance. It was 1950 when I was born and he was 16 and working in the furniture and baby dept of Nems. My mum said she remembers him as a very pleasant and polite young man.
Rest in peace Brian, gone but not forgotten, you made alot of people know and gave them a chance to become something,I only new you by name and band manager, but your known all over the world for making the biggest band known and songs all over the world 🌎🌎🌎🌎,that still play today, god bless you amen 🌠🌈☀️🌼💙🐦🌷
Hats off to Brian Epstein, The Beatles are so important to me and millions of others, maybe billions over time, Brian was completely irreplaceable when it comes to the now legendary Beatles story, thank u again 💙🎸🎵
Brian had a hell of a lot of foresight that's for damn sure. He would go around London claiming the Beatles will be bigger than Elvis, and that was before they had a record contract, had a hit song, or even started writing hit songs. And later on before he died he said the Beatles would be popular for hundreds of years. Well here we are over 50 years after they broke up and they are more popular than ever
My late stepmother named "Tanga" (she was a Britain who grew up in Tanganyika in Africa) was Brian Epstein's secretary during their first visits to America - the crazy Beatlemania" period. There was a glimpse of her in newsreels of the groups first trip for the Ed Sullivan Show. In 1967 she sent my sister and I a photo of the group signed by all four Beatles. I treasure it to this day. And my understand is that it is worth a pile.
Thank you for such a detailed documentary. Despite life tragedies that plagued the Beatles and those around them the stars did truly align for them to come together at the right time.
Well done Mop Top Tours on this wonderful production - sorry about the blooper (of course church is on Saturday not Sunday for the Jewish religion) but thank you for engaging my services for the narration and good luck with the new UA-cam Channel
A great job Stevie T!!!!....... apart from the really annoying way you pronounce Epstein Grrrr! I always remember it being pronounced as Ep(stine). You're probably right of course, but it's still annoying Lol hehe!
@@tonypurcell1049 I just KNEW there'd be at least one comment on that but unfortunately I couldn't win with it, different people pronounce it in different ways, so there was bound to be comments about it. I went down the Eps TEEN route because I've seen footage of at least two of Brian's atrtists: Gerry and Cilla referring to him as Eps TEEN so if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me - sorry if it annoyed you though :-D :-D :-D
Great video, but so sad and great accompanying song “ This Boy”. I just completed reading Brian’s book “ Cellar full of Noise” by Mr. Epstein. Would love to pay my respects to his graveside. For some reason I feel close to him and saddened for his loneliness in his life. Is that possible to play homage to his graveside?
Well done all involved, Brian Epstein has appeared to have been forgotten, probably due to his low profile at the time. Very true that without Brian the history of rock and roll would have been very different.
I remember the evening news on the TV that day in 1967 announcing sudden unexpected death of The Beatles manager Brian Epstein. As hindsight reveals, two years later with a subsequent mismanagement train wreck during that time behind them, The Beatles were over. Although the end of the band at some time would have been inevitable, it would not be untrue in my view to say that in large part it was premature attributable to Brian's absence as a vital element facilitating their journey.
A cut above the rest, a bright spot in a world that was pretty much a toilet were it not for him. Adorable man, brilliant, thank God, or Hashem, for him.
Got to meet Clive Epstein, his brother, Alister Taylor and others at the LA Beatlefest. Knew he was gay In the 60's. Whoopee. Without him, there might not be The Beatles and many other groups. Great Video.
So in that made for TV thing called "The BIrth of the Beatles" the four lads were just strolling down the sidewalk one late night and Brian comes rolling out of the bushes, as you do, and the four lads knew instantly what was up, and he just says, "I'm terribly sorry lads".. and Lennon says, "It's o.k. Brian, any looov is good looooov". So I retell this story to my mates at their motorcycle shop in saaaf London, guv'nor! and they just fall apart laughting. I use my long practiced Scouser accent for Lennon's bit, but add a very pregnant pause between "any looov" and "Is good looov". Anyhow a guy calls them up and says, "Hello, I"m Brian from Livehpeewwwl" and they just crack up! True story!
I believe he was knocked off. He knew the real truth. Maybe he was manipulated somehow. Beatles myth couldn't have written all those songs in such a short period of time. It'll all come out one day. Ask Heather from Newcastle. It certainly freaked her out on breakfast TV.
It’s possible he hired ghostwriters for them; but the songs really weren’t all that complicated. 3 minute early 60s pop songs aren’t that difficult to write. They’re basically a handful of simple chords. Especially back then when rock was young and chord progressions hadn’t been used up. The Beatles basically just got there first.
You could start by getting his name right...in his case , Epstein was pronounced "Ep-stine", not "Ep-steen" (the way Americans tend to pronounce it). In an interview, Leonard Bernstein recalled a conversation in which Brian corrected him when he pronounced it "Ep-steen'. 😠
No one was"openly" homosexual -let's not hijack the word gay to make it sound less offensive than it is, in the UK at that time. And please, discard the z10nist weaponised misnomer "anti-Semitic".

My kids gen can't name any of them

It’s EP STEIN. NOT EP STEEN
Actually, we checked this with one of the Epstein family (Brian's nephew) and he told us it's EP STEEN not EP STEIN
@@moptoptourstv9316 So why did Brian pronounce it "Ep-stine" HIMSELF in "The Beatles - First US Tour" movie?

He wasn’t the greatest influence on the Beatles. Plus, he ripped them off. He had a gambling problem, allegedly. Do your own research
