In their first show after COVID, at Summerfest in Milwaukee, they did a great medley of covers and he again brought attention to Josh. It is such a great thing to see men demonstrate how they care about one another publicly. I don't feel like it is shown enough. Anyway, great reaction, again. Tyler uses the ukulele quite a bit. He never intended to become a “ukulele guy” but he found one in a used music store and was hooked. The first song he wrote on ukulele was “House of Gold.” He also uses it frequently during concerts and for acoustic sets. He even did a version of “Stressed Out” on ukulele, look up “Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out (Ukulele Version)”
I’ve never even thought of the progression of the video like you described it. Interesting. I’m really enjoying your reactions…making me look at things I’ve watched a million times differently. His voice is so unique. Has a gravel to it at times but also the falsetto is smooth as silk and so consistent. You don’t ever hear much about him being some great singer but he’s so consistent on stage. He sounds just as good as the album. To sing, rap, hit the high notes, and do screamo…the man is unbelievable.
I took my daughter to see them last fall, twenty one pilots is her favorite band. Tyler did about 30 minutes solo on piano and ukulele. It was amazing! I liked some of their music before I saw them. I love all of it now!
